One time I was leaving a friend's place and an older lady with basically no English came up to me and communicated that she was very cold and needed a ride. She pointed to tell me where to go.

Go to settings. Scary, I know, but you got this.

Go to (on mobile) that cute lil' 3rd option, "Refine Your Recommendations".

Go to the last option, "GenAI interests".

Turn it all off. All of it. Every single one. It's that easy.

also you can use the "Refine Your Recommendations" to fix up any shit you just don't want to see (i, for example, try to get rid of any scary photos cuz otherwise i get paranoia).

There you go!! You did it!! Good job!!! Enjoy some AI free pinterest! Ads are still there and they suck ass. But that's the internet nowadays if you're too broke for an ad blocker. This has worked extremely well for me. I don't get any AI images. I get to enjoy my interests without gross inbred images.

Update from like 3 weeks later: I got an adblocker!! Ublock (origin or lite, I use lite) is free and really good for blocking ads. Works on YouTube too (lifesaver).
