I swear, there could be an update that consists of Dave or Dirk’s fucking SOCK drawer and there would be people coming up with angsty Strider headcanons based on it.

Dirk always kept his socks in perfect, neat rows according to size, season, and color.  Dave never bothered to roll up his socks or try to match them or even put them in the sock drawer.  If he needed socks there were probably a few on the floor somewhere.

And when Dave and Dirk meet for the first time, and Dave sees how Dirk keeps his socks in neat perfect rows like Bro used to, he breaks down and goes back to his room and starts trying to match his own socks.

But Dirk follows him, and stops him, because he wants to see what Dave is really like; and he likes that he’s just as carefree and too cool to roll his socks, just like Dirk imagined.

And then they boned.
