Anyone know any villainess reincarnation manhuas that are BL? So instead of a villainess it’s a villain?

Im also looking for a villain(ess) novel where the transmigrator says “fuck this shit, I’m gonna be the baddest villain ever” and totally goes along with their role?

I just love the idea of the main character being a villain but most villain manhuas but they’re all the same plot! If anyone can help, that’d be great!

I thiiink I have a few recs for you!

And I mean, I do think this is a fairly common trope in Asian media, or at least Chinese media, so you do have a lot to choose from!

The first one that came to mind is definitely I Have to Be a Great Villain:

Wang Yi is indeed someone who technically “embraces” his villain role pretty nicely. This is also written by the author behind Kiss the Abyss, another fun transmigration manhua. 👌

I Have to Be a Great Villain is also a newer take on many villain(ess) stories because it’s got world-hopping and also features the idea of a master system that manages smaller systems (mechanical screen entities that accompany characters who transmigrate into stories), which you also see in other Chinese stories like Don’t Pick Up Boyfriends from the Trash Bin; How’d I Get a Heroine’s Script?; Everyone Loves the Cannon Fodder; and The Protagonist Just Wants to Fall in Love.

As for het stories, including what you’re asking for of a villainess who goes all-in on being a villain, I would recommend Cheng He Ti Tong! Not that she does go into it 100%, but it’s pretty close.

Cheng He Ti Tong has its original novel, a manhua adaptation, a donghua adaptation, an audio drama adaptation, and a cdrama adaptation, so you can take your pick.

I think it would be funny to write a murder mystery where not only did every single character involved have an obvious motive to kill this mf, they were actually all attempting to murder him first, but the murder attempts all cancelled each other out all except for one. Two people tried to poison him but the poisons just happen to work as antidotes for each other, and instead of killing him only gave him the shits, and due to having the shits he couldn't go hunting that day like he had planned, foiling the plans of the one who had conditioned his favourite hunting horse to panic and bolt at the cue of a whistle, and the other murder attempt of tampering with his gun so that it would have exploded his whole face off.

The whole mystery isn't about who could have done it or how, but who was the one who got lucky and actually succeeded.

When I was in high school a friend of mine would host murder mystery dinners once or twice a year. They were the kind you could buy as a kit -- I don't even know if they exist anymore -- and everyone was assigned (or chose) a character, then received a booklet of clues to share. The idea was to spend an evening in a one-shot LARP designed like an Agatha Christie novel.

I was a year above most of them at school so they threw a "goodbye" murder mystery for me just before graduation, and about 2/3 of the way through the game we all realized that everyone had at least attempted to kill the victim. The game then shifted from "whodunnit" to "who succeeded in dunninit" which we all felt was not only super fun but above the usual level of narrative complexity for those games.

After we solved it, we discovered that the game wasn't from a kit -- the host had written it herself and meticulously printed out the booklets in replica style of the kits. It was the best going-away party I think I could possibly have had.

Percy Jackson-Wayne AU but when Percy returns to Wayne manor he thinks Jason is a monster who tricked the family in order to get rich or gain power. Percy has compiled plenty of evidence, but he has no clue how a family of detectives has missed out on it.

Most importantly: Jason literally died. Mortals don’t come back from the dead, not even superheroes.

Jason’s so much meaner than before. Jason was never this mean, it must be a monster wearing his skin.

The monster forgot to account for malnutrition when aging Jason up. He’d already stopped growing at 15.

The Red Hood kills people no one will miss. “Jason” says that they were bad people, and while true, it’s also an easy food source. Especially when you disguise it by building up a reputation of mutilating bodies.

“Jason’s” eyes glow in the dark. What the fuck is that. That’s a thing only monsters and godly beings can do. Last Percy checked, Jason had no godly blood anywhere in him.

“Jason” keeps trying to get Percy alone and singles him out in groups. This is obviously to corner and attempt to kill him

This has so much angst and misunderstanding potential. I love the idea of Percy keeping all of this close to his chest while Jason’s panicking about why his brother hates him for coming back from the dead.

i fully believe that while deep into his emo Red Hood 'i kill and i hate my family' phase before they all reconcile, Jason Todd was an avid batfamily fanfiction reader. he would read unsympathetic!Batman RELIGIOUSLY. his favourite author keeps writing fics about Robin almost dying and Batman failing him and then Nighting and Robin teaming up and fucking Batman over as revenge for how he sucked as a mentor, but then the stories start to sound... oddly close to Actual Fights where Jason got a little in over his head (cough cough ethiopia) and he gets suspicious and tracks the guys IP address.

Dick and Tim wanting desperately to connect and reconnect with Jason after he comes back as Red Hood and after 4 hours of gossiping and debating on the best way to convince him to hang out with them they decide to start getting kidnapped and held hostage as civilians in Hood’s territory, their thinking being that if it’s in Crime Alley he can’t ignore it and if it’s their civilian identities then they can’t ‘get themselves out of trouble’ and Jason KNOWS this so he’d have to show up and help them. so they just start throwing themselves into danger as often as possible to force Jason into interacting with them and try to trick him into having a conversation after the rescue in the hopes that he’ll start to like them eventually. the only problem is Hood is treating it as work he has to do, and so he literally just busts in, shoots the kidnappers, then silently unties them and leaves to go run his next errand/work his next case.

And then one day.

Dick, chained to a pillar: this time he’ll have to talk to us, i literally got tortured slightly! he HAS to ask if i’m ok

Tim, chained to the other side: yeah i still think letting them break your leg was a bit far.

*Red Hood and Robin bust in together*

Dick:

I’m sure this has already been discussed but it has only just occurred to me - what if The Eye of The Phoenix is just a whole episode foreshadowing Arthur’s reign?

Morgana spends the episode trying to weaken and kill him. Standard.

Uther insists that Arthur completes his quest alone because he believes a King must rule alone. But Arthur believes Camelot is stronger and that he is a better King for consulting his knights, even the common-born ones. Enter Gwaine, who in this episode represents all the knights - they are Arthur’s strength. Arthur himself is courage, which is what he needs in order to rule as he sees fit, not as Uther or Agravaine would have him rule. And then there’s Merlin - magic. Whether or not Arthur knows it, he needs magic at his side.

But here’s the other thing: The Fisher King tells Merlin this was really his quest, not Arthur’s. Merlin’s quest, his destiny, has always been to unite the land and bring about the golden age of Albion. In the grail legends, achieving the grail and healing The Fisher King also means healing the wasteland - but in this retelling the wasteland is never healed. So if this is a foreshadowing episode then we already know that Merlin will never see his golden age. To top it off, the king gives Merlin a vial of water from the Lake of Avalon for the dark times ahead, telling us where the story will end when everything is lost.

we’re all agreed merlin’s list of duties is truly out of this world right and absolutely abnormal for a personal servant to a prince or king. and i know in the show and in most fics his status as a personal manservant to arthur is a widely known fact among the camelot citizens But i feel like the sheer weirdness of his random as hell duties is underutilised in fics… in my head everyone knows merlin as a different guy in camelot. it’s like this ->

Alfred honestly can’t say shit about Bruce bringing in strays, because what if the Waynes got him the same way?

I genuinely can’t recall HOW Alfred, British special forces extraordinaire, ended up working for Gotham’s (scary) sweethearts.

If there’s one thing about Thomas that Alfred will never forget is his voice; The bass , so chasmic and powerful it could shake the whole world, and the burning care in his eyes despite his vulgarity.

Bruce, — who’s the tiniest bundle of a boy Alfred witnessed, is yanked up by his father’s strong hands, squeezed to his chest carefully. “Hurt,” he says. There’s a tiny, red handprint on Thomas’ shirt.

“Yeah, I didn’t notice,” Thomas mumbling, looking around.

Maybe local gangs? The bullet point is too precise, too calculated. “Who the hell are you?”

Alfred, with his raspy breath, says, “I’m the terribly rude bloke dying on your doorstep, I’m afraid. Alfred Pennyworth. At your service.”

For a guy who’s about to bleed his last, he sounds awfully sarcastic.

“Yeah, wise guy, no one’s dying on my kid’s birthday. Bruce, tell Dotty to prep up the basement. And tell your mama to get my Budlight out of the cooler. Jesus Christ.”

Alfred ends up hoisted on this man’s back. Thomas asks if he has anyone he wants to call? Anyone that’ll come pick him up? Anyone to bury him, if it comes to it.

Alfred whispers he does not.

Thomas sighs. “Well. Kid‘a been asking for a playmate.”
