Things Men Have Told Me
“you are not an artist by occasionally putting the trigger on some cam and shooting blurry pics, just saying”
-A man who exploited my kindness and work, just to call me a freeloading nobody.
Things Men Have Told Me
“You should start wearing bras, or you’ll get saggy tits”
-A man who used to 'love' me
Drink pouring, footsteps approaching. no, thanks.
"You dodged a bullet! That was a close call."
I run after the man with the gun, begging to be shot at again.

Sometimes, I still ponder whether my photographs are good or if I should just give up again.
Then I remember what someone once told me, that I'm no artist by occasionally putting the trigger on some cam and shooting blurry pictures.
Which makes me wonder, where else do I fit in? Because I tried the 9 to 5 office job, and that definitely didn't do my soul any good. But I also don't feel like I'm moving any further in the town I live in... Now every time I do take a blurry picture, I drown in doubt, and finding my calling is something that only exists in my drug-fueled dreams.
Those shoes you so dearly love, wearing them every day, even though they hurt like hell. Because you love those pairs just too much to let go, just yet. So you swallow your pain and stay with them a little bit longer.
We're not talking about shoes.
