07 Dyna Street Bob
After two cross-country trips, I'm ready to ride my own! Here's my new dream bike, a 2007 Harley Davidson Street Bob.
Riding through the steaming hot nothingness of Death Valley, California on last month's cross-country trip.
Riding the Tail of the Dragon on our Harley-Davidson earlier this summer.
Riding through the southwest by moonlight on our Harley-Davidson.
Riding through Utah’s Capitol Reef National Park a couple weeks ago.
We made it!!! 24 days, 21 states, & 7,348 miles via Harley-Davidson!!! Home sweet home in the Manhattan on the Potomac, aka Arlington, VA. Stay tuned for *real* pics from our Canon & GoPro over the next few weeks. Thanks for following!
Thanks to Caitlin and Pete for snapping this pic of us and for helping us get home safely!!
Day 24/24 of our cross-country motorcycle road trip: Unfortunately the nearby Harley dealership couldn't fix our flat tire until tomorrow night, but... we weren't stranded in West Virginia thanks to our support crew! Pete & Caitlin to the rescue! Luckily our friends were vacationing in Kentucky this weekend and were traveling back to Pennsylvania on the same roads, just an hour behind us. They brought fix-a-flat and an air tank, and offered to follow us home in case the air wouldn't hold. The tire continued leaking slowly so, to be safe, I got to ride with Pete & Caitlin in their truck for a couple hours. While riding in the (comfy & luxurious!) truck, I snapped some shots of Alex with the Canon camera. Here's a preview of one of those pics.
And that, ladies and gents, is a flat tire. With only 300/7400 miles left in our cross-country trip, it takes true skill to pull off timing this bad.
Day 24/24: "Aw, hell. You sure done pick a doozy of a day. A lil wet for a motorsickle ride, ain' it?"
Day 24/24: That time when you tell your husband "77" instead of "79." His response: "Oh well, at least we get to go to Ohio again." Love this man.
Things I *won't* miss about this trip: Searching high and low for fresh fruit. (Brown bananas from gas stations don't count.)
Things I'll miss about this trip: The best dang beer in the known universe.
Things I'll miss about this trip: The best dang food in the known universe.
Day 24/24 of our cross-country motorcycle trip! The final leg. Less than 400 miles til we're home in Paradise, aka Arlington. What a great trip, not ready for it to end!
Woohoo for our 23rd consecutive (and final) night of camping! The campground didn't have grates so we're cooking right on the coals. Steak, corn on the cob, potatoes, & watermelon, nom nom nom.
