Ok, random idea for Heizou for other writers out there, cuz I'm busy with my own reqs plus I'm not confident to write for him yet HAHA. But if anyone has the time, you may have this:
Imagine you and Itto are friends. You're one of those shy peeps that couldn't really talk a lot due to whatever social problem you have but Itto's big energy and personality somehow made you open up and you feel more casual and relaxed to talk to him. Because of this you're kinda besties with him, and it got to a point you told Itto you had a crush on Heizou.
Or, maybe it was an accident. Like a slip of the tongue on your part. Either way, Itto will tease the heck outta ya and try to help you out, though you usually deny him.
But one day, Heizou was seeking you out. You can think of your own reason, maybe he wants to have a date, or he's planning to confess! Whatever it'll be, when he sees you with Itto he discovers a new side of you he's never seen before: that side being your playful, teasing side.
You were w Itto teasing him of all the misfortunes he's been having a lot recently (His vision being placed at the lowest on the statue, the Irodori festival when he accidentally drank smth w beans, etc. XDD) and it's like karma from bullying all the children u know? Now Itto is kinda frustrated being in denial yadda yadda yadda and he's feeling stumped cuz he somehow can't refute your words. But then, he sees Heizou—
Meanwhile w Heizou, he mostly knows you as your shy quiet self u know. And the reason is you get really flustered around him and he'll admit he teases you for it. Yes, he's aware of your crush and while he feels same, he kinda wants to relish your flustered moments before the big moment. So when he sees you there w Itto, he got real intrigued and walks up to y'all.
When Itto sees him coming, Itto had a hUGE grin and started teasing you by having Heizou come over and dangle hints abt ur crush to him (despite the fact Heizou knows already, not that he knew that XDD). And bOI it worked cuz u barely were able to form when Heizou's around it further confirmed Heizou's truth and amped Itto's torture.
In the end Itto ran away and escaped and left ya for realzies. Heizou? He got in real close to ur ear teasing u and ur blushing mess and goes smth like "that's cute~" and "I know already tho Hahaha!" "Wanna go on a date~?"

The connection between (Name) and Childe was established a long time ago, during his months spent in the cold dark of the Abyss. Deep inside the domain lay a temple, gold and obsidian covering every surface but one; a marble statue of the Creator, sitting on a grande throne, their hands held open in invitation. One that the young Snezhnayan took, finding the stone warm to his touch as he curled up in its lap. For the first time since falling into this place, his sleep went undisturbed.
After that first rest spent in the embrace of the Creator, Childe found himself drawn to their temple whenever his search for a wayout was fruitless yet again. No monsters disturbed him there, the hateful beings usually straying far from it. It was a most welcome sight, to see them clawing down the hallway, ready to rip his throat out without being able to do anything as long as he was in that room.
Sometimes, instead of sleeping, Childe would snoop through the various offerings placed at the outer edges of the circular room. Weapons and goblets covered in dust were thrown to the side, soft fabrics appreciated. Although he wondered how know of those things had rusted or been eroded by time, he was quick to dismiss his questions. Everyone knew that the Abyss was a domain in between space and time. Its ability to withstand erosion was to be expected to some extent.
Childe was sure that he'd have lost his mind in there, had it not been for the calm and warmth the statue radiated whenever he was near. He found solace in the marble, even if it never talked to him as he told them of that day's activities and fights.
Time passed and Childe grew closer to the end, the way out of this hell. It was only once he'd gained Foul Legacy that he understood why the monsters never bothered him in that circular room.
The temple of the Creator was a safe haven, the one place even the cold-blooded beasts of the Abyss would come to to pray for them and bring them offerings whenever another unfortunate human had stumbled into their home. He was the first one to ever come as far as that and, seeing that the statue's arms had moved from their previous position on the throne's armrest to an open invitation, they knew that if they were to bother the child there, punishment would come.
Childe's heart warmed at the revelation and he blinked tears out of his eyes. There, right in front of him was the door that would lead him out of this hell. He'd finally be able to go back and see his family, his little siblings again.
...Then why was he hesitating?
He turned around, hoping despite everything that he'd see the Creator's face smiling at him because of his accomplishments. He may have a monster inside of him now, but he had survived. The longing in his chest to see them again one last time was strong and he started to limp his way back into the innermost sanctum of the Abyss where he knew their temple was located. But before he could pass the archway into the hallway, stone closed it up.
Childe stared at the wall, eyes wide and teary, lips wobbling. Did his God not want him to be near them anymore? Has he done something to upset them?
His shoulders shook as he went to exit the Abyss. Quiet sobs escaped his mouth and he pressed a hand on top of it to stiffle any sounds.
A soft breeze encircled him and he froze, the warmth all too familiar.
"You've done well, my child. Do not fret, for I have a present for you"
Childe left with a smile, the knowledge that he'd been graced by his God's voice making him stand up straight in pride. They were satisfied, they had really watched him fight. Deemed him worthy enough of a present!
It took him months to understand what their present was.
Whenever their God watched someone close to him, a buzzing would fill his chest. He'd feel if they were displeased or happy, sad or simply there. He'd been granted a connection that had him this much closer to the Creator as he was sure none of the acolytes were like him. And the occasional whispers in his ears confirmed as much, telling him how noone else was this special to them.
He may not understand what he'd done to earn their God's favor, but he enjoyed it nonetheless.
Thus it came as no surprise that his Creator's sudden disappearance years later caught him off-guard. As talk of the imposter spread across Teyvat, he itched to confront them. It was too much of a coincidence for them to appear at the same time as his God to stop coming to this world. Had the imposter killed their God? Or maybe worse, had they taken their place?
Despite the worries gnawing on him, he didn't act on them. His bond told him to be patient, that the truth would be revealed soon enough. Even as the imposter disappeared again, he waited.
Aches and small echoes of pain started to haunt his life. He thought that maybe this was it, Foul Legacy finally deeming him weak and decaying his body faster than ever. Was this his God's plan? To have him by their side after death now that he's served them so well in life?
Just when he was embracing impending doom, ready to hole himself up far away from his family to not hurt them, fates plans seemed to change. The Tsaritsa sent him out alongside the Balladeer, giving him the unique task to retrieve Dottore's latest experiments.
Awe, anger and renowed fervor filled him at the sight of his God lying on the table, covered in cuts and a Delusion imbedded in their chest. He cradled them close, his inner beast howling in pain resonating his own. Their Creator, the one whose love got him through the terrible Abyss, the one who'd graced him with their presence so often ever since.
Getting him away from their Creator was impossible after that. He stayed by their side or outside their room, cradling the thought close that they were finally here...albeit broken and incomplete.
So incomplete that even their memories had escaped them.
Five months after their rescue, (Name) spoke up for the first time. All the things Dottore had done to them came rushing out like a waterfall, their voice hoarse and quiet from a long time of not using it. Hollow eyes focused on the bleak wall, body quivering in visible anguish. They didn't remember a lot, only the most torturous thing they'd been put through. They didn't speak for some time after that again, falling back into the old habit of only listening to orders and staying still otherwise.
That's how Childe realized that the pain he'd felt the months before had come from them and not from the beast waiting inside of his heart. He was inconsolable for days, locking himself into the rooms provided to him in the palace and not speaking to anyone.
To his surprise and secret delight, his God came to him. Their tentative knock on the door roused him out of the stupor, his keen senses immediately picking up on their presence. They let themself in and sat down by his side, questions clear as day in their eyes. Yet they didn't say anything and just allowed him to hold onto them and cry his heart out.
Maybe they had felt this bond, too, or maybe they merely were concerned for him. He had never stayed away from them for long, so it must have been hard on them, too.
Around him, his God didn't hide their emotions. They told him when they were sad, when the memories haunted him. They didn't wait to break down like they did with the Tsaritsa or even Scaramouche. It was clear that the orders Dottore had successfully ingrained in their brain were hard to pass by, but piece by piece the both of them found out what (Name) used to like and did, and they didn't hesitate to call upon him whenever they needed anything really.
Of course there were off days, days where reality and memories mixed. Sometimes they were caused by a single glance at the Delusion buried in their chest, others they just happened. Those days were the worst for the Harbingers and the Tsaritsa.
Seeing (Name) go back to their old ways, shutting their thoughts off and not moving unless specifically ordered to do so was agonizing. They knew that the healing process was going to take long, but it still pained them to see their Creator reduced to such an empty shell.
Worse than off days were the other days. The days the servants had dubbed 'Danger Days'. Then not even Childe was allowed to be in the same room as them. Their Delusion would glow and destroy whoever entered, a single motion of black before nothing but ash remained. A strong power. And uncontrollable.
Most of the time the Delusion lay dormant, its powers quietly seething below its dark indigo surface. Only when their God feared for their life again, the panic brought forth by nightmares or even one wrong word said to them, did it activate and wreak havoc on their immediate vicinity. Distrust and trauma caused by not only the experiments, but also the hunts on their lives. They hadn't been able to trust anyone during their first few months on Teyvat and sometimes, those old emotions acted up, came out of the corner they'd been buried in to make way for even more trauma.
As soon as there had been no signs of the Delusion growing unstable again for a few days, Childe was there by (Name)'s side. His arms wrapped around them and held them close, and they'd put their ear to his chest and listen to his heartbeat. His hands caressed their back in soothing motions, and he placed his chin on top of their head. These simple moments where his God so clearly relied on him to keep the darkness at bay were the ones that showed him that he was their protector. And he happily accepted it.
Off days grew more infrequent, until it had been three months in which (Name) never once lost control of her emotions and stayed in touch with reality. The pride of that accomplishment showed on Childe's face. His grin threatened to split his face in half and he sweeped them of her feet and twirled them around. They both laughed in joy, the sound warming up the hearts of anyone near.
As jealous as the others were of their close bond, they were glad (Name) had found a home here. And they surely were going to open up more one day.
Unfortunately the happy days ended sooner than they expected.
Childe was ordered to return to Liyue in order to find someone who might be able to take the Delusion out of their God's chest. The parting was hard on all of them, (Name)'s cries ingrained into their brains forever as they struggled in the Balladeer's arms, reaching out for the Harbinger who smiled sadly at her from atop the ship.
The months following that were bad. (Name) refused to leave Childe's room, opting to wear his clothes although they were too big for them, and sleeping in his bed. His scent enveloped them and gave them the only comfort during these times.
Nevertheless (Name) made an effort to accept the food Scaramouche or the Tsaritsa brought them, trying to engage in conversations with them. They'd worried them long enough and even though their heart ached for Childe, they did their best.
They'd start teasing him about his height, show genuine interest in his story and just him personally. Scaramouche bloomed under their newfound liking to him and paraded around, smirking at everyone. He was superior to them and their God's attention proved as much.
The Tsaritsa was a more complicated matter. (Name) tried, they really did, but Venti, Zhongli and Ei had ingrained such a deep fear towards Archons in them that they'd involuntarily freeze up whenever they heard displeasure in the Cryo Archon's voice. It pained the Goddess of Love to see her beloved God cowering before her, so she did her best to stay away and give them time. Their God should come to her out of their own free will and she wouldn't force anything upon them.
The news of Childe returning to Snezhnaya, a famous Liyue doctor in tow, reached their God's ears sooner rather than later and Scaramouche was forced to accompany them to the docks each day, making sure they dressed appropriately for the weather and ate and drank enough. Their eyes would stare out into the horizon and every ship that wasn't a Fatui ship would make them frown.
Thus it was no surprise that, come the day that Childe stepped back onto the frozen docks of his home, their God flung themself at him and cried into his chest. His euphoric heart beat fast and strong now that they finally reunited and he was sure he even heard a growl coming from Foul Legacy in his mind.
They returned to the Ice Palace together, Childe opting to carrying them while Scaramouche had to stay behind and brief the Liyue doctor on everything they knew about the Delusion in their God's chest.
Childe placed (Name) down on their bed, taking note that the sheets were the same as they had been before his departure. He knelt down in front of them and placed his head on their lap, sighing and melting into their touch when their hands found his hair. They brushed through the soft strands and scratched at his scalp, and it was as if he hadn't been gone for months.
"I missed you", (Name) whispered, a small smile growing on their face. "I'm so glad you're back, Ajax."
Childe closed his eyes. His cheeks reddened. "I'm glad to be back by your side, too, (Name). I'm sorry for taking so long to return."
Their hands cupped his cheeks and forced his face up to look at them. "It doesn't matter anymore. Important is that you're here now. And that you won't leave me anytime soon."
He nodded, eyes alight. "I won't. I swear by my life."
Displeasure shone in their eyes and they shook their head. They placed a tentative kiss on his forehead, and he relished at the soft feeling of their lips, knowing he was the only one to be touched like that by their Creator.
"No, not on your life. Your words are more than enough for me. If you were to give up your life...I couldn't stand knowing it was because of me." Their hands moved to the back of his head and they placed their forehead on his. Warm and cold breaths mixed.
"As you wish, my dearest (Name)."
They spent the night together in a warm embrace, Childe telling them of his search for the doctor and leaving out certain details. In return his God told him of the teasing they did on Scaramouche, and the books they'd read.
(Name) admitted to staying in his room, scared he'd be mad at them for invading his privacy. But Childe quickly shushed their fears, telling them that his room was theirs. He had no secrets from them and if it comforted them, they shouldn't hesitate to go in there.
That night, a beautiful aurora lit up the nightsky all across Snezhnaya.
About the last fic about Xiao knowing the truth of experiment darling. Can we get a fluff ending for him? And screw Zhongli if he ended up getting the angst in tye story, Xiao deserves some fluff than him
Xiao's Good Ending
Long awaited, but here it is! A comfort/fluff ending for Xiao. :)

Childe had his arms wrapped tight around (Name)'s waist, a frustrated and stern expression on his face. They held back the shakes raking their body to the best of their abilities, but he was able to tell how worried they were by the way their eyes flitted around the room and their fingers thrummed against his back.
"Don't do this. You're not ready. Please, don't just do this because you feel bad", he pressed, burying his face in their hair and breathing in their scent.
(Name) shook their head, pulling him closer although they were already all up in each other's personal space. They didn't say anything, knowing the words that threatened to burst forth would just be a proof to his statement.
Childe picked them up. Their legs wrapped around his waist in response and they closed their eyes. The touch of the Delusion to Childe's body sent sparks through both of their chests, which they ignored.
"Don't do this, I beg you", he pleaded, voice wavering. "Or at least wait. Don't hurt yourself more because of them. Please, (Name)."
Desperation was clear in his voice and (Name) felt a pang in their heart. They hated being the cause of such bad feelings in him.
Their left hand moved up to cup the back of his head, fingers weaving into his soft locks. "It'll be fine. I have you there to protect me, should anything go wrong, haven't I?"
Childe whined, the sound so cute and so vulnerable. Something he only allowed them to hear. The other Harbingers would never let him live it down, how he acted like a lovesick puppy around their God. He didn't bother correcting them, that this wasn't love. They didn't know how the Creator had saved him a long time ago, back during darker days. They wouldn't understand.
(Name) gently tugged his head away from their shoulder until his forehead rested against theirs. Starry eyes met deep blue ones that held the most worry they'd ever seen.
"I'll be fine", they repeated, not voicing their fears.
Childe didn't allow them to walk to the conference room. No, he transformed into his Foul Legacy form and picked (Name), perching them on his left shoulder. They were so light, still in the process of regaining muscles and fat after the experiments. Making a mental note to give them some desserts later, he floated off through the hallway, them snuggled up to the fluff surrounding his neck.
It had taken a while to make (Name) unafraid of Foul Legacy. If he just mentioned his superior form, they had flinched and backed away, shivers raking their bodies. It didn't matter that the darker part of his mind that was Foul Legacy was even more adamant on protecting them, a tamed animal to none but them.
Now they asked him to switch into this form sometimes, particularly during nights their memories wouldn't let them sleep or when a staff member unintentionally spooked them.
Foul Legacy brought them comfort and he'd brave its destruction to his body any day of the week for them.
The nearer they got to the designated conference room, the more (Name) tried to bury herself in his neck tuft. Their breaths quickened and Childe felt the echoe of their heartbeat in his own, erratic and unstable. He stopped in front of the door, holding up a clawed finger for them to take and hold against their face.
"Remember. The moment you feel too unsafe, we'll get you out of there. Don't hesitate to let us know."
"I know. Thank you."
Childe picked (Name) up by their waist and placed them on the ground. He opened the door for them and floated in after, making sure to not leave more than a feet of space between them.
Their guest, who had been sitting on the couch, jumped up at the sight of them, teary eyes wide. "Your Grace, I-"
"Shut up and sit back down", Childe hissed, his hands now placed on (Name)'s shoulder. They had jumped back at the sudden movement, bumping into his armor. "You're scaring them."
Xiao faltered and fell back onto the couch, shoulders sagging.
(Name) closed their eyes and took a moment to push their fears to the back of their mind. Childe's armored hands, so much bigger in Foul Legacy than usual, helped ground them. They moved to the second couch in the room, opposite of the tense Yaksha. Their ever happy to please bodyguard stayed floating behind them, his pearlescent mask eye glowering at their visitor.
They didn't look directly at Xiao. Whenever they did, unwanted feelings pushed at the edges of their control, ready to break free any given moment.
(Name) cracked their fingers, gulping. "Xiao, right? What did you hope to gain from coming here?"
Xiao slid off the couch, his movements measured and controlled as he fell to his knees, head bowed. "I'm here to ask for forgiveness for my sins."
"Please, don't...sit up. I don't..." They didn't find the right words, a clump forming in their throat. They struggled to hold off the agony, the painful memories that have been buried in the depths of their mind. Childe's masked face came close to their ear, rumbling low purrs into them.
"Remember...one word and you'll be out of her", the Harbinger reminded them.
Xiao remained on the ground, tears falling free. They froze upon coming in contact with the floor. "Please, let me explain myself, Your Grace."
(Name) didn't have it in them to turn him down. They picked up a pillow and placed it on their lap, hugging it close for extra comfort. "Okay. But keep it...vague, okay?"
The Yaksha nodded, eager to please.
"I want to apologize from the depths of my heart for the crimes I've committed. You do not have to accept the apology. I understand that this is something we may not move on from." Xiao's voice was weak. He barely resembled the Conqueror of Demons he was. "I let Rex Lapis manipulate me into believing him, and failed to recognize you."
(Name) reached a hand over their shoulder. Childe took it without hesitation.
"I should have known better, listened to my karmic debt that faded around you. I was a fool...such a fool. I can never forgive myself for this. I'm sorry...I'm so sorry."
(Name) glanced at Childe, then stood up and walked past the coffee table to stand in front of the adeptus. He didn't look up at them, his shoulders tensing in preparation for the harsh words sure to come.
They cupped his cheeks and lifted his face to meet theirs. Starry eyes searched for the truth in his golden ones, digging deep into his soul.
The pain tormenting him was clear. He regretted his actions, truly and genuinely.
A soft smile tugged up the corner of their lips and, to everyone's surprise, they pulled him into their body.
Xiao froze, eyes wide. He didn't dare to wrap his arms around them, not yet.
(Name) ran their fingers through his hair, brushing out knots. "I know you said you may never forgive yourself...but I do. I don't wish to see you in pain."
They hummed.
"I'm sure they told you, but my memories are...lacking. I remember the utter agony I've been put through, but that's it. Faces have left my mind. And so have all the things I like."
Xiao grabbed the hem of their coat, hands curled into tight fists. Childe returned to his normal appearance, his heavy pants filling the air.
"However I can forgive you. The pain is in the past now. Snezhnaya is helping me find myself. And you...I forgive you, and hope you can accompany me on my path of healing."
It didn't matter that there would be bad days up ahead, where (Name) wouldn't even be able to look at Xiao. It didn't matter that a wrong motion of his would have them breakdown.
All that mattered in this moment that his God was willing to forgive him and start anew.
"I swear...I swear on my life that I'll protect you until the end of time."
What would Xiao do if he found out about Dottore's experiment? Especially if it's connected to the concept of Xiao being the last to feel God's warmth.

He hadn't mean to listen to the conversation taking place between Zhongli and Childe. Truly, he hadn't. But the sudden rise of elemental energy coming from the mountain had made him wary of a demon rising, so he'd rushed to the mountain and climbed it in a matter of seconds.
Xiao had relaxed to see it was only his former Geo Archon and the Harbinger caught up in a quarrel of some sort. He turned to leave, only to freeze mid-motion at the words that drifted to him with the wind.
"Our beloved Creator has graced Teyvat with their divine presence! They are currently in the Ice Palace where the Tsaritsa and her most trusted Harbingers are taking care of them and…doing all they can to heal them."
The Yaksha didn't blink as he processed this new piece of information, turning slowly in place to peak through the leaves of the trees, down at the two people unaware of his presence. His once slit pupils were now full-blown, covering the golden colour of his retina.
Was he saying the truth? Did his God really descend to Teyvat, after years and years of waiting?
His dead heart grew warm in his chest and he clutched his top in his hands, digging his nails into his skin. It would explain why noone had felt their God for more than a year now. Their missing presence has left behind an empty hole in everyone's hearts, that grew with each day they didn't cast their gaze back on them. Jealous stares followed him everywhere, him being known as the last to feel their God's warmth.
Have they been here all along? Why hadn't he noticed?
Had they come to forgive him for his sins, to show him that he was still worthy of his God's light?
Zhongli questioned the Harbinger, wanting to know everything, all the details he could spare. Childe's face dropped and he turned away to look up at the sky, unable to look into the face of one of (Name)'s hunters.
"They need healing for two reasons."
"And what would those be? Stop wasting my time. Why is our God with you and not in their rightful place at the temple where they should be."
"Because you are one of those reasons!", his loud voice burst forth. Childe gritted his teeth, gripping his head tight. "You, and all the other nations, who treated them like an imposter! If that had never happened, they wouldn't have fallen into Dottore's hands and ended up as his experiment!"
Silence followed his outburst, the man now panting hard.
Xiao felt the hope in him fading away into nothing.
He...had hurt his God?
As if in response to his emotions, the leaves covering him started wilting away. In a sudden hurry to get away, to spare himself from hearing the full story that Childe now told Zhongli, he disappeared in a flash of black and green.
He reappeared below the mountains, in a clearing far away from any civilzation, and fell to his knees. Pain overwhelmed him, burning hot in his veins and he choked out a gasp. His body shook, the dark aura of his karmic debt surrounding him in a thick cloud of miasma.
Tears shone in his eyes.
All those years, he'd yearned to see their God, feel their warmth surrounding him again. Becoming their vessel had been a step towards that, he'd thought, and he'd always done his best to appease them. Constantly killing the enemies, following their call as they guided him to unfamiliar territories and made him speak with strangers.
Their warmth was what he lived for. He'd been well-acquainted with it until that fateful day it had forcefully been taken from him.
Then why hadn't he realized that there was never an imposter, only their God? Why had he allowed to let Zhongli taint his thoughts and mind that way?
A primal cry came out of the depth of his body, stones around him shattering like pieces of glass as the full power behind his karmic debt was released.
He had failed his God. Hurt them. Hunted them down like an animal, thrown his spear at them, all with the attempt to kill them for a crime they didn't commit for they were the person they'd been waiting for all along.
Another scream, followed by more destruction. The earth rumbled in response to his feelings, trees crashing to the earth. Xiao hit the ground, punching it over and over again even as his knuckles and fingers bruised and the skin burst open. Tears spilt onto the ground.
"Control yourself, Xiao."
The deep voice made him look up. Amber eyes glared down at him, forcing back a part of the overwhelming guilt. Anger flared up in him. If Zhongli hadn't been so insistent that they were an imposter, he never would have done the things he did.
"You...", he rasped out, getting up on shaking legs. He didn't miss the spark of worry in the former Archon's eyes. "It's all your fault!"
The Harbinger had come to a stop at the outer ring of the clearing, partly shielded by the remaining trees still standing. His eyes were narrowed, hands twitching, ready to step in if needed.
Zhongli tilted his head to the side. "I don't know what you're talking about. Why don't we all relax and sit down somewhere? I can pay for some Almond Tofu for you."
His placating smile only further increased the feelings of betrayal and heat of rage. The Jade Spear appeared in his hands and he gripped it tight, muscles protesting. A low his came out of his mouth. "I will never listen to you again. You...all because of you...you made me hurt our God!"
Zhongli was too shocked to respond, standing still. It didn't matter to Xiao. He flashed towards the Geo Lord, tip pointed straight to his chest. A second before he hit his goal, an arrow flew into his spear and knocked him off his path, the tip only lightly gracing the tall man's torso. Not even the skin.
The Yaksha growled, crouching low and getting ready to attack again.
"Come on, let's just all calm down and have a nice chit-chat! It wouldn't do to hurt each other, even it there's nothing better than a bloodbath." The fake, empty smile on Childe's face masked his true feelings, arms pointing a new arrow straight at Xiao.
Childe knew he'd messed things up. It was bad enough that Zhongli knew the truth now. But an adeptus, too? The more people knew, the faster news would travel.
"Right now their past doesn't matter anyhow", he declared, letting out a chuckle. "They are safe and that's how it'll stay as long as they're with the Fatui."
Xiao gritted his teeth, stabbing the spear into the ground and marching up to the Harbinger. The clouds of his karmic debt followed, clinging to him. "The Fatui is anything but a safe place for our God. You do not deserve to bask in their presence."
Childe leaned down as his weapon faded out of existence, a grin on his face. "Oh? But you do, Conqueror of Demons? You just proved that you are anything but responsible and safe to be around, comrade."
"Don't taunt him more, Childe", Zhongli's voice cut in, who'd finally come out of his previous frozen state. He came up to them and clasped his hands on Xiao's shoulders, the skin glowing a deep golden.
Xiao howled and tried to pull away, the magic that entered him forcing his body to relax and calmndown. Eyes flickered around, desperate in a search for a way out. He didn't want this. He wanted to hurt Zhongli, get revenge on him. He wanted to let out all his fury and drown himself in his emotions.
It wasn't fair!
Childe sighed and leaned back against the tree, crossing his arms over his chest. Even as the Yaksha fell onto his knees on the ground, Zhongli's hands never once left his shoulders.
Xiao groaned, eyes growing dazed. "Stop...this. You...you are a t-traitor, Zhongli."
The grip on his shoulder tightened for a second, only to relax again. "I am painfully aware of that", he murmured, too quiet for the Harbinger to hear.
The Geo Archon looked up at his friend. "Can you tell us how they are faring?"
Childe lifted his shoulders in a half-shrug. "As one would expect. Not good. They have already improved a lot, but it will take a lot more time to heal than that. (Name)-"
Somehow Xiao found the strength to glare up at the ginger. "Don't say their name in that casual way."
"Hm?" Childe turned up his nose at the Yaksha's audacity. "They gave me full permission. In fact, noone calls them by their titles as they absolutely abhor it. And they used to only react if called by their name. It's all well."
The Yaksha looked down, blinking away tears. What pain they must have gone through, to hate what's rightfully theirs.
"Is there..." Xiao gulped, unable to look up as he voiced his request. "Is there a way for me to meet them?"
"No."
Childe's answer pierced straight into him, and he cringed in response.
"Honestly, what makes you think I'd ever allow you to do that? Not to forget about them. (Name) may not remember any of what happened before Dottore lay his dirty fingers on them, but they do know that they were in a lot of pain and on the run. They are not ready to face any of you...and I'm unsure if they ever will be, truth be told."
Xiao's head snapped up, pupils dilated. "And who are you to speak for our God?!"
Childe's smile was dark and full of glee as he looked down at the Yaksha. "Oh, haven't you listened in on our conversation? I'm their one true haven of course. The one who'd heard their voice for many years before they came to Teyvat. Their light in the darkness that you and the others brought to them."
Not even Zhongli's power flowing through his body stopped him as Xiao broke down, his karmic debt surging up.
I’ve seen both imposter au and the villain au, and yes, I love them! However, I don’t feel there’s often much background planned into the level of hatred or emotions from the characters, to the point it can almost feel completely out of character, and where did this ‘imposter’ even come from? So, why not make a lore, at least for my version, that half works with some prexisting characters with very little lore? I would say the imposter and villain au happen in a slightly different universe to the regular cult au, mainly because I don’t see how any of the Archons could’ve met the Divine Creator, yet somehow then see them millennia later and just...say they’re fake?
So, while their time of disappearance can vary for in the regular au, in the imposter and villain au, the Divine Creator must have vanished well over 6000 years ago, long before the oldest gods of Teyvat still alive even roamed the earth. Which then begs the question, what happened to them?
Well, we know of one being that is believed to currently be the start of Teyvat’s timeline. The Primordial One, a being who came from another world. Time to take the scraps of information I have and run with it.
The Primordial One was the first being to come to the Divine Creator, maybe even the being they created Teyvat for, after all, why would an all powerful being just create a world out of nowhere? The two were friends, The Primordial One shared their knowledge and The Divine Creator their power, and from this combination, the Old World was born. The first humans were some of the few who knew the truth of The Divine Creator, because their friendship (or romance) didn’t last.
The first humans could never be sure of the reasoning for it, but the relationship between the two began to fracture, they never spoke as to the reasoning, but one day The Divine Creator vanished from Teyvat. The Primordial One had attacked them, battling against them for a reason unknown, and during this battle The Divine Creator was wounded, their power, even after all these years, had not yet recovered from building Teyvat for their dear friend, and they weren’t strong enough to fight against them. So, Teyvat came to their aid, crumbling their physical form and sending their soul from Teyvat to another world, far from the reaches of The Primordial One.
Of course, they knew they hadn’t destroyed them, their soul had vanished yet there were still the faintest of traces of their existence, so they knew they must make a plan, and present a reason to the humans as to why you’re no longer here, whether it’s out of self preservation, guilt, or an attempt to lie to themselves about their action, they concoct their story.
The being who’d be walking among them was not The Divine Creator, they had known this for centuries but had not been strong enough to destroy the entity, born of darkness and corruption, that had stolen your face and drained you life force. They have now dealt with the imposter, however it had taken them too long to punish them, and you had suffered for their weakness, your body and soul so drained you were no longer able to manifest yourself, and your soul slept deep within Teyvat. So the story goes.
And how would they deal with the possibility of you returning? Well, they know it would be discoverered eventually, but they could buy themselves time. What better way to instil distrust that to make this being of fear and corruption a central peg in your story, the imposter that could always return wearing the face of The Divine Creator? Of course, they need something to be convincing, an imposter to make you seem like the imposter if you return, so The Primordial One sets to work. Creating a replica of a divine being is far from easy, but they manage to do so, and they link this body to the fragments of your divinity that linger in Teyvat. Using those fragments, this imposter is able to access memories, and even command Teyvat itself to an extremely limited degree.
The imposter was a failsafe, a being that was only to be used upon your return if it were soon, but when The Primordial One vanishes/dies, their story of imposters and real gods is passed through the generations until it is legend, to this very day the story is know. But the imposter is left behind. Sleeping deep in the earth they lay dormant, the fragments of your divinity whispering to them of the events in Teyvat, and upon your return they awaken. It has been many years since their master vanished, they’re no longer there to give new orders. Teyvat is very different to the one recalled in your hazy memory fragments, but none of that is of concern. They have one mission, and one mission only, the thing they had been born, taught, and raised for.
To dispose of the Divine Creator by any means necessary, be it death or incarceration, all to protect their creator’s secret.

Of course you cant talk regularly because you dont want to hurt others or yourself with your words. So like inumaki, you limit your speech to casual words that won't affect anyone. What kind of words?
Different meat cuts.
And if that's not a sign that you and luffy are meant to be then I dont know what is. You just say things like 'meat' or 'ribs' or anything else related to meat. Luffy gets so excited every time he hears you, convinced that you want meat 24/7 like him.
'Sanjiiii we want meat!'
It's difficult to communicate with everyone, especially luffy since now he's even more hungry, but you get by. Robin understands you the most. But I bet luffy has his own luffy way of understanding you too! Like maybe when you feel down and you luffy asks what's wrong, you smile and say some cut of meat. Luffy frowns.
'You're sad.'
Luffy knows what you say whenever you're happy and right now you're not happy. So in a way, he does understand you which is sweet.

rimuru can tell when youre upset when your aura diminishes ever so slightly. many dont notice, but he and great sage can always tell.
no matter what it was that caused you to be anxious, rimuru will always reassure you that he will be there to help you and that youll be okay in the end.
if its something similar to social anxiety, rimuru will never pressure you into social interactions with others. he’ll talk on your behalf, make sure that people dont make you uncomfortable, etc.
if what youre experiencing attacks you at random, rimuru will pull you into an empty area to calm you down where prying eyes cant look.
hes actually learned lots of grounding techniques thanks to great sages help and he will always tell you to exercise them daily. he’ll also practice them with you if practicing by yourself isnt really your thing! (´｡• ω •｡`) ♡

rimurus golden eyes stared into yours, a smile on his lips, “okay, ready?” the slime asked again, and you nodded at his words, “alright,”
“breathe for four seconds...” rimuru said, the both of you breathing in sycronization.
“hold it,” you said, parroting what he told you earlier. rimuru smiled at you as the calming air surrounded you two.
“exhale for four seconds...” rimuru said while exhaling. you followed suite.
“and pause the breathing cycle for four...” you closed your eyes and focused on your breathing.
the pattern continues until rimuru is certain that you have the pattern wired into your brain. the slime pats your head happily, “see? its not so hard, is it? you did amazing.”
if you ever have anxiety/panic attacks, rimuru stays by your side the whole time unless you specify otherwise.
no matter what it is that is giving you anxiety, rimuru will always speak to you in a quiet voice, reassure you that hes going to help in any way he can.
rimuru will always cuddle you afterwards, giving you small kisses and holding you in secure arms.
he has a tendency to talk even when hes asleep and holding you, saying that youll be safe with him around and how he’ll never let anything happen to you.
he could care less about whatever it is that bothers you, he’ll always remind you that whatever it is that burdens you wont burden him. he wants to shoulder you pain no matter what it is.
rimuru has a tendency to always hold your hand whenever you’re anxious. part of him hopes that holding your hand will reassure you that youre not alone.
he will always listen to whatever you vent, no matter what, where, or when.
of course, he’ll never push it if you dont want to talk about it, but he’ll always leave the option open to you! ♡
