a scorched monster wax burner
I nerded out seeing how the copper oxide reacted differently here - over the unglazed surface on the outside versus over the transparent glaze inside the monsterās pink mouth ā¦ resulting in the copper oxide giving both an almost volcanic-like charcoal on the outside and a diffusing dark mossy green on the inside.
I donāt know all the science. Iām sure someone could tell you very detailed reasons for why things react differently in ceramics. BUT what I can personally tell you is that itās really cool and very fun :-)
