The brunette felt an overwhelming panic- this wasn’t Touya that she knew? Oh… this was rather… awkward. With a panic in her voice she spoke. 「ちょっと・・あーあ、すみません！」

Oh no. This couldn’t be true. This girl was panicking, for fuck’s sake!

"Huh?" Wait, was this Japanese she spoke right now? Geez, how convenient that he tended to stick his nose in all kinds of books when he was bored inside the castle walls. Ahh, she was apologising, so what was the right thing to say now? Touya was sure that he would feel kind of bad if he bullied her now. She was just a weak little girl, after all. 「いいえ・・、大丈夫です。」

Welp. He had probably butchered the pronounciation or picked the wrong phrase. But as long as it managed to calm Mei down, things would be fine.

She looked up at him when he spoke Japanese. Ah, so he spoke it? This was great- to be honest she spoke it on complete accident. But if he spoke it- it would just make things easier since they were already speaking it. To be honest she was pretty good at the language though a bit rusty since not many people she talked to spoke the language. With a smile she spoke.

「あぁ、よかったです！日本語を話せますか？凄いですね。前は、申し訳ありません！」

She did feel really bad- it was obvious that this wasn't the Touya that she knew, but how could there be two touyas? This was rather confusing.. Though of course she wondered if he would be able to understand her japanese especially since her ability to speak it was more rusty than she thought.

Oh she felt so terrible, this was all her fault! She had run into a poor young man because she was being foolish. She felt absolutely terrible that she caused the ruckus in the first place. Thought, she blinked confused. Why was the other apologizing? It was clearly her fault that all of this had happened! And she was quite ashamed that she caused so much trouble for the other in the first place. Rubbing her neck sheepishly as she gave a soft sigh. Averting her eyes from the other as she spoke, there wasn’t much more she could do besides apologizing. Speaking in a soft voice, her voice wavered as she spoke.

“I.. I’m still really sorry.. I swear this is all my fault- I wasn’t watching where I was going…”

Though as she thought about it- she hadn’t introduced herself! It would be completely rude if she hadn’t. Mei was someone who was polite as she didn’t like to be rude to anyone, especially if she had caused any trouble for them. Maybe at the least she could somehow repay the other. Smiling sheepishly she spoke back up.

“O-oh.. Right! My name is Mei, and I’m from Aspertia City! It’s nice to meet you..!”

Holding out her hand for a proper greeting, she tried to adjust to the situation. Even if he didn’t look mad in the slightest- she still hoped that he could forgive her for what she had done. Who knows maybe they could be friends, but she wasn’t quite sure as she looked around. Ah, maybe he was seeing a movie or something like her! Once it was on her mind- it sparked her interest enough as an excited look came upon her face along with a soft smile.

“So what exactly are you doing here? Do you work here? Or are you just here to see a movie?”

Kyouhei backed up a bit to give the female some room to stand up, watching her closely. He took in her almost nervous movements, furrowing his eyebrows a bit. Her movements seemed a little bit…familiar to him, but he wasn’t sure why. He was fairly sure that they had never seen each other before, so there was no reason for him to be thinking that they knew each other. However, he never knew. After all, there was still the fact that he had amnesia, so he could never know whether or not he hadn’t met this girl before. 

And the more that the female talked, the more that Kyouhei felt as though he had met her before. But he just couldn’t think of where…His thoughts suddenly stopped as he heard the female introduce herself. Mei…he remembered a Mei. His memories were vague but he remembered her. He remembered having a best friend called Mei back when they were kids. They always hung out together after school, playing with the Pokemon that ran around in the city. He also remembered both of them tagging up against Hue, chasing the other boy around the city. 

Smiling slightly, Kyouhei moved a bit closer to Mei, his movements kind of hesitant. What if this wasn’t his childhood friend though? He was sure she wouldn’t appreciate his sudden statement. And if this was the Mei that he was thinking of, what if she didn’t remember him? It had been years since they had last seen each other, so it would be understandable that she wouldn’t remember him. But…he had to try. He had to try. 

Grabbing onto the outstretched hand, Kyouhei bit his bottom lip and shook it, nodding his head. “It’s nice to see you again…Mei. It’s…it’s me…Kyouhei,” he said softly, his body tensing up in worry that she wouldn’t remember him. 

He had always been close to Mei, even when they were little kids. She was much more subdued than him, so he had made it his job to stick by her side and make sure that Hue didn’t accidentally hurt Mei. He had always wanted to stick by her side, although he supposed that that had ended up falling into the gutter, given their situation currently. 

“I…I’m an actor here. I work here at the studios and live here in Virbank,” he explained, gazing around for a moment. It really had been a long time, hadn’t it?

She was certain that she didn't cause any damage from the fall to the brunette, which made her glad. But the boy didn't seem himself- there was a strange feeling about him as she said her name. She didn't get why btu when he grabbed onto her outstretched hand he said his name- it wasn't just anyway- it was in a way as if he was asking her to remember something. And when he said his name- Kyouhei.. She repeated it to herself over and over again until she could remember something- something important that seemed to have been temporarily erased from her mind since it was so long ago- yet it came back to her. She could remember a boy named Kyouhei when she was younger- he was her ... best friend back then. When she looked at the boy in front of her- she recognized the boy's face- it was her old friend. She was filled with so much happiness that she didn't even know how to react. Everything that was once forgotten was coming back to her as a small, gentle smile came onto her face.

"Kyouhei..."

She wanted to say much more than just that- but she was so happy to see him that nothing more could come out of her mouth. No words could express how happy she was... She could only embrace him- like when she was younger and Hyuu would sometimes get too rough when playing- sometimes she'd crying and Kyouhei would always be there to cheer her up. She was a bit of a mess when it came to these kinds of things. But she never realized that Kyouhei was now working at the Studio. It made her feel like a little kid again- she in a way looked up to Kyouhei as he told her that he was an actor. He was always so confident, even as a kid and she was just a klutz. She even went on her journey so that she could grow as a person. With a soft smile she looked at her childhood friend.

"That's amazing! I'm sure you're great at what you do! ..I unfortunately can't act. Even if they think I'm good at it.. I don't have any confidence to get up to acting."

She averted her eyes for a second as she should probably tell the boy what she had been doing all this time. While she was collecting badges and all that- her friend was in the place she dared to even enter. It was kind of silly but she didn't want to be pulled into another movie like her first time here.

"I've just been traveling around... I got all the badges like every other trainer"

Her voice trailed off as she thought about her actions- she did what so many people did and one of the few that actually succeed at it. It was pretty stupid as any trainer could get gym badges- any trainer could do what she did. It was bland; while her friend was trying out a new career- something that not everyone did and she really admired her friend all around. Giving a soft smile she spoke.

"I'm glad you've found something that you really enjoy!"

“I..Is something wrong?” She tilted her head to the side, being slightly confused that he.. seemed awkward. She only had said hi. “Did I say something wrong?”

Oh no. He had made things awkward without even trying to. “N-no, everyting fine! You didn’t say anything wrong…” he shook his head and heaved a small sigh. “I- I’m just surprised that you came up to me and said… hi. People rarely do that.” At least they tended to ignore him more than others.

She gave an awkward smile as the brunette seemed to stutter at her words. She really didn't mean to cause any trouble with the brunette, with a soft smile she gave a soft sigh. This boy was obviously troubled so she didn't want to cause anymore trouble! She chuckled under her breath - a lighthearted and carefree chuckle as she looked at the boy with honest eyes.

"Ah Why's that? It's just a nice thing to do! I don't bite... I don't really have many people to talk with so ... I thought I'd try talking to people instead of having them come talk to me!"

She was stupid- this was all so stupid. She tried to get close to people because the people she was close to had blocked her out- Hyuu was working with helping Pokemon getting back to their original trainers while everyone she had met on her journey... They had all disappeared. She couldn't be bothered with it though, it was stupid- saying that to herself, over and over and over again as the sadness tried to reach her- but wasn't able to, not yet.

“I…” How had he been? That question was laughable. But N kept smiling on anyway. “I’ve been better, but I’m alright. Its good to see you again. Doing any interesting or fun as of late?”

She heard him freeze, which made her a little scared inside. She was always cheerful to her friends, but she had terrible time being able to catch up on everything that her friends were doing. Sometimes she would wonder if they forgot that she actually existed. But that's why she made an effort to talk with them! Even if they usually failed- it seemed that everyone was busy with working, or accomplishing some goal. While she spent her day's carefree. It was kind of sad as not even Hyuu could have time to even talk to her on the Xtransceiver. But shaking that thought from her mind she listened to the greenette's question intently. Her brow furrowed a little as she really didn't do anything besides care and play with her Pokemon while enjoying walks here and there in solitude. It didn't really bother her, but it was just nice to travel around.

"Not really, Just taking care of my Pokemon and keeping them happy"

It was really laughable, she was really pathetic- but that's what determined her to get better. She was always hard working and if she was determined- then she would come to the challenge and overcome her problems. Even so she kept a smiling face so no one would worry for her as she knew that everyone had much more important things than to talk with her. With a deep sigh, she looked up into the eyes of the greenette, but to her- they seemed maybe different than she remembered them. But that might have been just her, as she shook the thought off her mind.

Mei was strolling along the streets of Virbank City. She was headed to PokeStudios as she was in the mood for a movie! Though even if the owner of PokeStudios liked her in movies, she really didn’t think that she was cut out for acting. She seemed to mess up somehow and she just tried to avoid making a movie. Though she did enjoy watching them! She was quite amazed at how all the actors could do so well on screen. 

Walking into the fantastic area that was made for movie making and entertainment. The structures were amazing and she honestly loved being here as long as she wasn’t caught by someone who worked there and suddenly she would have to produce another movie. She looked more awkward than anyone in the whole place as she turned a corner cautiously. The movie theater was just in sight and maybe if she made a run for it… She started to run for the Theater as suddenly she felt herself coming in contact with another person as she fell to the floor. Oh dear, she hadn’t been looking where she was going and as she rubbed her head as she took a closer look at to who she hit. 

It was another brunette boy as she noticed that he was on the ground too. Oh dear, she had been careless once again and the other was probably hurt from her basically running into him. She quickly got back to her feet as she held out her hand to help the other get up. She spoke in a shaky voice as she felt really bad for the trouble she probably caused.

“Oh dear..! I’m so sorry! Are you ok? Are you hurt? I swear I didn’t even see you”

She pulled the other to his feet as she gave a weak smile, as she waited for the other’s response. At the least she hoped that the other wasn’t mad or anything. The last thing she wanted was trouble. Though it seemed like trouble always found her. She smiled weakly, the least she could do was take the other out somewhere, it would be quite rude as she already knocked the other over.

Soft pants left Kyouhei’s mouth as he ran through the studios. He was clutching onto a parcel tightly, which was to be delivered to the director immediately. And unfortunately, he was already falling behind as it was.the parcels were meant to be delivered an day ago, but due to complications, he hadn’t been able to collect the parcel until today. So, he could only hope that the director wouldn’t get too mad at the late package.

As he turned the bend around one of the buildings, his eyes grew impossibly wide as he saw a girl slipping out, moving right towards him. Kyouhei tried to skid to a stop, but his reflexes weren’t as quick as his brain, so he was still running for a few more seconds before he actually could get his body to stop. But by then, he was already less than a foot away from the other girl. Gasping softly, Kyouhei clenched his eyes shut as he crashed into the other girl, causing them both to fall to the ground. A grunt left his mouth as he fell to the ground and he couldn’t stop himself from grunting in slight pain. 

He stayed on the ground for a few seconds, letting his brain catch up with his body. Then, as he saw movement out of the corner of his eyes, Kyouhei lifted his head in time to see the female reaching down to help him up. He stared at the hand for a few seconds before he gave a soft smile and grabbed onto it. Standing up, Kyouhei dusted off his pants and leaned down to grab onto the dropped parcel, checking over it to make sure that nothing had been messed up. 

While he was still checking over the parcel, Kyouhei gave the female a soft smile and nodded his head. “Yes, I’m fine. Are you alright though? I didn’t mean to bump into you…,” he trailed off in apology.

But people had their own lives and that was ok with the brunette. She spoke in a soft tone as her smile was still very light- it had faded a bit at the thought, but it was nothing more than that. She tried not to let it get to her as it wasn’t anything personal between her and anyone.

“I’m doing well..! Though I haven’t been doing much since I beat the Pokemon League..”

Her voice trailed off as the other spoke up. This time suggesting something. To catch up while riding the Ferris Wheel? She didn’t mind at all! She loved riding the Ferris Wheel- being up so high and seeing everything, every time she went on, she always found somewhere new, that she hadn’t seen before from the previous ride. The changing seasons were also nice as it was always fun to see Unova from such a height when it looked different in spring, summer, winter, and fall. 

She gave a bright smile as her voice became more confident- trying to ease into the conversation. Giving a soft nod.

“Sure! I’d love to go on the Ferris Wheel and catch up. It sounds like a great idea!”

Awaiting Mei’s reply, N shifted from one foot to another, keeping his gaze on the girl in front of him. She seemed happy that he was there, which in turn made him feel good about this whole encounter. Running into people he knew (who can actually stand his presence) always made him feel good. 

” Huh—Oh, is that so… ? ” No, he didn’t zone out what’re you talking about. He was listening intently like the good man he was! ” I’m sure there are plenty of things for you to do, though. After all, Unova offers many activities. I’m sure you can find something to keep you busy, right? “ 

He stopped there for now, figuring he can save the chit-chat for later. After all, they’d be getting on the ferris wheel now! Or at least they should be. Noticing that they weren’t even line, N went and fixed that problem, tugging the brunette along with him. Luckily for them, the line hadn’t grown too much, so the wait wasn’t that long and soon enough, the pair was on the ride.

” So, just as I had mentioned earlier, we have much to catch up on! I’m sure aside from your days filled with minimal things to do…There are some things that are worth reporting on! ” He crossed his legs, placing his chin on his hands as he stared expectantly at Mei.

Oh gosh, her eyes shifted as she hadn't been doing much, relaxing was pretty much all she was doing. She wasn't really someone who had battle fever and was battling people like crazy, and she also wasn't exactly popular- not many people knew her as she wasn't at all into preforming in movies and her Champion title wasn't something that usually got around- she was much more shy and liked to keep her achievements on the low side. Giving the greenette a sheepish smile- since she really didn't know what other activities besides running and exercising there was in Unova. Maybe there was something that she didn't even know about and it was waiting to be found! She liked exploring but going out of her own region seemed a bit too out of place for her- family was still very important to her and if something happened to her mother- she wouldn't want to be so far away she couldn't get to the situation immediately. 

Before she even had a chance to talk, the older male grabbed her hand and off to the Ferris Wheel they went. There was no line at the Ferris Wheel, which made her a bit sad to see as she did enjoy the view, it was always refreshing to just forget all of her troubles as the scenic beauty was what replaced any worries. But as they got on and she sat across from the man he turned to her and asked her about things that she had done. Oh dear- her face became flushed with embarrassment as she really didn't know what to say to the man- but she couldn't have kept the man waiting long! That would just be rude of her- as she started out with a couple of um's and er's. 

"Um.. I haven't done much really. Just a lot of traveling.. My friends like Hyuu- they're all off doing their own things... I meet people but it doesn't really ..."

She trailed off as it sounded like her life was completely miserable! She wouldn't really label herself like that, she would just say that she was a bit lonely considering that she missed seeing her friends and hanging out just like old times. And all the new people she met had their own things to do, as she was just a minor presence in their lives. She didn't mind it, she just wished that she could get out more. She spoke back up as she didn't want her green haired friend to get the wrong idea! 

"But, It's ok!! I'm ok, so there is no worries. What about yourself? Have you done anything interesting, N?"

She made an effort to be as cheery as possible and to not ruin the mood of the chat- the last thing she wanted was to make it awkward for the man in front of her or to be rude. She had learned how to be polite to people and she tried her best to show as much respect towards others as long as they attempted to show the same courtesy towards her. She gave him a soft smile as she titled her head to the side.

Mei was in Nimbasa City as it was a Friday afternoon and the sun was high in the sky. She had gone to a small cafe nearby the Pokemon Center and she wondered what else she could do today. She wanted to stay in Nimbasa City as even if it was such a busy city she never had a problem getting around, unlike Castelia. Giving a soft sigh she headed into the amusement park section of the city.

All the light and sounds. It was always a bit overwhelming for her as she looked around, children running around- and having fun. It was a lively place and she always enjoying coming to this side of the city. Whether the rides weren’t enough, it was that there was always something happening. Though she averted her eyes from the park and over to the Ferris Wheel. 

Her eyes opened a bit more as she recognized someone in front of the Ferris Wheel, it was N! Oh boy, she was happy to see someone she knew. She thought that it would be a rather good idea if she would talk to him- as they haven’t gotten to know each other much, though they always seemed to talk about one person that they were so fond of… She was a bit curious. Giving a soft wave in an attempt to catch the other’s attention she called out to the bush haired man.

“Hey! N! It’s good to see you again! Have you been keeping well?”

She hoped that the other would at least remember her. She hoped that the other wouldn’t have minded her rather casual greeting. She didn’t know if the other was used to that, though she was trying to make things less awkward for the both of them, at least she hoped as she walked up to him with a lighthearted smile.

“What brings you here?”

Friday. Oh Friday. Gotta get down on Friday—gotta get down to Nimbasa more specifically.Yes, Friday had been N’s designated day to go down to the lively city and ride the Ferris wheel.. It was a routine he had kept up to go on the attraction every Friday due to personal reasons (something along the lines of having ridden it two years ago with a certain brunette on a Friday), but recently he found himself going on other days as well. Either way, he wasn’t about to miss out and break the consecutive cycle he had going, so he stood by the entrance of the ferris wheel, scanning the area for anyone who might want to ride with him.

Come one, come all. Come ride with a strange, green-haired man who talks too much for his own good. Oh, and sometimes gets emotionally invested while he rambles on about someone.

Boy what a deal.

Luckily enough for him, he was spared from having to ride alone, as he noticed a familiar face approaching him. 

” Mei! ” He had spotted the girl from far away, and greeted her with a wave and a warm smile. ” Ah,yes, I have been well. I am here for the usual ride. ” He motioned towards the ferris wheel. ” What about you? It has been some time since we have seen each other, hasn’t it? You don’t suppose it might be a good idea to catch up while we go for a ride? “
