The Garage Sale event has come to an end! I want to start by saying thank you to everyone who participated. Every submission brought something different and I really had a lot of fun with this concept.
The garage door slowly creaks open, dust drifting through the thin strip of light. You enter, inside, a table cluttered with strange little items, forgotten trinkets, unlabeled and mismatched. Some might be valuable. Some might be useless. Still... something about them pulls you in. Whatever you choose, make it yours.
Nothing here is bought with money, instead they require your creativity. Pick an item and "pay" for it with a moodboard.
If you don't like any of the pngs on the acc you can always buy a mystery box! Moodboards are made after you purchase an item. You may enter both sections (but you have to create a separate moodboard for each section).
There will be one winner per section. Prize: a custom pro carrd (lasts up until August 2026)

🛒🍮 SECTION 01 - REIMAGINE
"Buy an item. Use the concept. Reinterpret it."
In this part of the event, participants are to create a moodboard *inspired by the item they choose.
How it works:
Go to this blog (@garage404) and pick an item from the catalog, and under that post comment the item you choose along with the section/s you wish to enter (a more detailed explanation will be provided on that acc).
Then create a moodboard inspired by that item, BUT do not use the exact png provided.
Example: if you buy a flower png....
make something centered around a flower theme, use the moodboard to show how flowers make you feel or even a flower that you drew. however you wish to interpret/show it
🧾🛞 SECTION 02 - THRIFT FLIP
"Buy it. Edit it. Transform it"
In this part of the event, participants are to customize their item and use it to create a moodboard.
How it works:
Purchase an item the same way as Section 01
Then use the exact png provided, BUT edit/transform it in any way you want
Example:
recolor, resize, cut the png. add a filter, turn it into a divider or make a collage. you may do whatever you want with the png just make sure it is included and visible
