Astrological symbols attributed to the twelfth century alchemist Artephius, scanned from Grimoires et Rituels Magiques (Grimoires and Magical Rituals) by François Ribadeau-Dumas.  No authenticated writings of Artephius survive, but many extant texts purportedly contain his secrets.  Most of the symbols above are reprinted from the mid-sixteenth century treatise De Rerum Varietate (Regarding Various Things) by Hieronymus Cardanus (Gerolamo Cardano).
