❝ Don’t suppose you’ve ever heard of takeout? ❞

“I wouldn’t be so fussy about it, Argent. It’s made a difference so far, since I could be a hell of a lot worse to deal with.”
❝ Strangely enough, I can’t even BEGIN to imagine how much harder to deal with you could be. ❞
❝ And what are you doing out this late? ❞
❮ damon salvatore ❯
“I wouldn’t say nice, more along the lines of doesn’t tear bodies apart when I feed.”
❝ Because that, of course, makes a WORLD of a difference. ❞

She notes the look of surprise and concern on his face. Idiot. Of course he doesn’t know who she is. She and her brothers are hardly renowned. They’re fairly important, she supposes, in the witch hunting circle but not really beyond that. The Argents on the other hand, well everyone knows about them.
“I’m Mack- Mackenzie Summers.” She nods. “Witch Hunter.”
Ohhhhh. He had heard the name before from Owen. But even if not, the witch hunter factor always rings a bell, especially in a town such as this one where everyone has something to hunt down, something to track down and destroy. Was she planning on taking down the Medea Coven? But how y o u n g she was…
❝ I’ve heard… Is there something I can help you with? ❞ Or is Owen insisting we stay out of each other’s business.

“You turn one teenager and suddenly everyone blames you for every newbie vamp in town. News flash people, I didn’t do it.”
❝ Oh right, I f o r g o t you’re the nice brother. ❞
“I can’t do this myself. Chris. Help me.”
❮ stefan salvatore ❯
It was just his luck to find a new vampire left to fend for themselves. Stefan hated the mess some vampires left especially knowing that some of those messes were made by his very own brother. He didn’t want to pick up the pieces that were left to finish breaking on their own but he didn’t have the heart to walk away. Stefan, the ripper, trying to teach a new vampire to at least control themselves enough to not get caught. It was laughable really. However, it was the least that he could do help save more people.
It was short lived, the life of the vampire before him. An arrow perfectly crafted for vampires ended the life of him. Stefan couldn’t get to him in time to lead him away from harms way. The youngest Salvatore didn’t hide from hunters, but he made it a point to not give them a reason to shoot him on site, but he was a vampire after all with the reputation of ripping his victims limbs and heads off their body and putting them back together again.
“You can’t just go around shoot innocent people.” That is what he thought of the new vampires despite what they do. They were in the learning stages of something that was more likely than not forced upon them. It was far from a good idea to confront a man, hunter, with arrows of wood. Stefan knew that. “I could have helped them.”
Disbelief colors his face at the words of the youngest Salvatore. Innocent? If there was one thing one could not call bloodthirsty MONSTERS it was ‘innocent’, certainly they were not on the same level as whoever they had killed already. How easy it is for these vampires to forget exactly what it is that 'innocence’ stands for after so many years not knowing the word. Even if some on his own side have the same trouble with the word…
He barely keeps from calling him insane, idealistic beyond reason and logic. ❝ R i g h t. Because all that a newborn vampire intent on destruction needs is a good teacher to tell him right from wrong. ❞ The tone is barely held back from being mocking, dripping in contempt, showing so clearly his opinion on the subject matter. Again, reminder to self to question Alaric on why the HELL are they supposed to keep Salvatores alive. It’s not like they are children who don’t know any better and promised not to kill anyone like half the teenage werewolves running around. And werewolves have the advantage of not HAVING to kill to stay alive. No, vampires had deaths under their belt, centuries lived and wasted on the blood of innocents, ACTUAL innocents whose only mistake was to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
❝ You want to keep people safe? KILL whoever’s turning them and setting them loose on the town, don’t try to help what’s pretty clearly a lost cause. ❞
❮ elijah ❯
An army of newborns… that was the last thing he had expected to see in this town, and still, here they were. He had walked into one of them by accident, and had soon learned they had recently been turned, no idea of what they were or how to get by. He had had no choice than to end the creature, if he wanted the peace he was forging in this town to be upheld. The vampires that already lived here were no problem. He would get them to his side, if they knew what was good for them. These creatures however…
He had made his way into the woods, trying to find whoever was behind it. Some part of him feared he had to look into his own family. After all, wasn’t this just one of the ways K o l would want to create the chaos he so loved?
He had heard there was someone else roaming these woods long ago, so when the vampire he saw suddenly turned to dust he wasn’t too surprised to see a hunter appear at the other side of the trail. “Perhaps it is y o u who should be more careful, mr…. Argent, isn’t it?” He had heard of the man, of course, but he had not had the pleasure of meeting him, until now. “I believe we are here for the same cause, and I would hate to have to resort to violence to keep myself safe from you.” He chuckled. “Not that you could be a n y danger to me at all…”
Raised eyebrow meeting with the Original vampire’s words, the suit did not fool anyone, unfortunately, Chris had been quite intent on not having to deal with any of them, even the most civil. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that it was their sister who had turned his own. If only he didn’t know any better than to blame someone else for Kate’s mistakes. His sister made the transition, regardless of the circumstances, and that was on her, no one else. And it wasn’t like she had the best track record in the first place.
❝ Don’t touch the innocents and you won’t have to keep yourself safe from anything. ❞ Dismissing his entire presence, Chris searched for the arrow shot before, returning it to the crossbow lest any other newborn get in the way. What did this guy expect anyway? Standing there like he was i n v i n c i b l e, as if anyone could ever be that. Not even the strongest of creatures was without a weak spot and if he had to find the one for this Original, he would. Let him give a r e a s o n.
❝ You planning on just standing there and act like you give a damn or should I be on my way trying to figure out which one of your kind has started killing people, Elijah? ❞ KILLING. Turning people IS killing them, regardless of what they may claim. There is no real difference between the words.

Papa Argent
Eyes locked on her phone, Mack walked, paying little attention to those around her. She only realized the stupidity of this when she collided with another person on the sidewalk. Stumbling back, she flashed them an apologetic smile before recognizing them.
“ Sor- Oh hey. ” Mack grinned, “ Chris right? Argent ?? ”
He has to be mildly concerned for a girl not noticing where she is going, especially in this town. Not that all should know what is happening, not that it should be more than just some town to most of it’s people… Maybe he should be glad of it— until she says his name.
❝ Yes… And you are? ❞ Mind quickly goes through a list of who might ask for him, most of them are either not a good sign or do not fit with a teenage girl.
He is not the one used to dealing with vampires, with things that require a bit more than a bullet through the head to be gone and done with. But he’s also not up to simply letting them walk around without any punishment for deeds performed. So of course he grabs his crossbow, armed with wooden arrows instead of steel ones, and his aim is TRUE. He’s glad the kids have chosen this weekend for a little vacation, they deserve it and it’s not like there’s need of an army to deal with rogue vampires. He needs only to find the one who’s turning them and END them.
He would not be fortunate enough to find Damon Salvatore at the end of the trail, would he? That would’ve been n i c e. He’s only praying it’s not an Original vampire, that might complicate matters endlessly.
An arrow shot through the chest of another vampire, turning it to d u s t the moment the wood reaches his chest. Effective, no need to deal with the dead remains that would bring up questions with the proper authorities trying to do their job without all the necessary information. ❝ You’ll want to be a BIT more careful. ❞

❝ Why can’t the owner of this place invest in quality liquor? It is not that EXPENSIVE. ❞
❝ Maybe they actually give a damn about the law and aren’t trying to encourage underage drinking? ❞

Niklaus approached the town square, making his first public appearance in Mystic Falls since his arrival. He knew how word traveled and endless gossip had arisen as to why he and his family were back once more. Of course that was something he would keep under lock and key until the moment was right. With a content sigh, he turned to the person next to him and uttered, “Home sweet home.”
Even for those aware of the supernatural, the Original vampires were a bit of a myth in itself, something Chris had a hard time believing in until he could see with his own eyes. But the rumours were clear, the word through others who had attempted to hunt them and f a i l e d.
And s o m e o n e fit the description. ❝ Is it really? ❞ Is it really home? Is it really sweet? How long until they would have to be put down?
❮ mason lockwood ❯
His attention was immediately diverted towards the hunter. Mason wasn’t sure how much he trusted him, but if Talia thought this alliance with the Argent family was worth it, then Mason wasn’t going to argue. An Alpha wolf by his own right, but he still valued Talia’s opinion. She had been at this for much longer than he had been. Mason shook his head. If anything new was known, the wolf hadn’t heard—
❝ Sadly, no. — Do you think this is supernatural in nature? ❞
that was exactly what he did NOT want to think of. but the fact that a hellmouth was opened and closed and consequences should arise is just starting to sink in with the hunter. ❝ I hope not, not sure how do you deal with a supernatural flu. ❞ but he’s not too hopeful that it’ll be easy.
maybe he can go through the books just once ( didn’t some ancient tribes induce feverish states for the sake of visions? ), make sure there’s no reference to anything like this there, maybe that will serve him as reassurance that all will be well and people are not getting hurt. at least not anymore than if they’d chosen any other place in the world to live in.
