This might end up being kinda long so feel free to skip it.
Anyways, lately I've been really thinking about my MMO "needs". New, exciting things keep popping up and I get excited, but ultimately I just lose interest. I used to be really into hardcore endgame stuff, or at least aiming for it. I don't know if it's because I've gotten older or just tired of it, but the whole raiding "scene" just doesn't do it for me anymore. I still enjoy raids, but I like it a lot more when it's casual and not so serious like some people make it to be. I love difficult content and trying to work through fights, but it feels like in the recent years it's not about that anymore, it's about being 100% perfect all of the time. It's really sucked the fun out of raids and a lot of group content for me. That said, I've decided to put FFXIV on hold for now, as the non-group content just isn't fulfilling for me, and the overall community is not so great. (All of my tumblr friends from Balmung, you are obviously not part of the problem! :P) I'm hoping to return later on when there's more "fluff" content and things to do.
So what I've decided to do is go back to LOTRO. I started playing in 2009, and have been going back and forth since. I love that there's a variety of things to do, and obviously great lore and storytelling behind it. My old kin, Brandywine Brewing Co, is?/was full of really great people that were tons of fun to hang out with. I'm hoping they're still around! This is probably the only MMO I've ever played where I'm actually looking forward to rolling alts just to redo quests and revisit my favorite places. If anyone plays on Brandywine, my name is Nabradia and I'd love some new friends! Currently only level 78 as I just started playing again since RoI.
