hi i love ur art i was wondering if janka are aware of the mutual stalking? from what i see zanka does not know, but does jabber?

zanka, bless his heart, is completely oblivious. he’s not dumb, it’s just the situation he’s in. when they were briefly together, zanka felt that jabber was discarding him, like he wasn’t capable of retaining his fascination. he’s mortified and ashamed and angry and wants to hurt jabber back. because of their history, zanka’s convinced jabber feels nothing for him, so there’s no way he would guess that jab was in fact obsessed from the start.

but yeah, jabber knows. back then, he’d purposefully twisted the knife into zanka’s greatest insecurity of not being good enough. he wanted to make zanzan this angry, so he would chase after him, try to hurt him. because this was one of the most fascinating people he’d ever met! he’s quicker to notice that zanka’s stalking him because that’s exactly what jabber was hoping for (and um… zanka isn’t that stealthy 😭). also, i think jabber is generally more aware of, like, people’s dark and perverse tendencies. he doesn’t see shame in it.

idk if u've answered this on ur blog before, but what inspired u to make the stalker x stalker janka au? Also, how did u modernize (or like, normalize??) their og clothes to fit the setting better? I'm super loving the comic rn; it's super cool!!

haii thanks for asking!! idk if anyone remembers but a few years ago there was this webtoon called “stalker x stalker” , which wasn’t much worth reading in my opinion , but i recalled it out of nowhere and realized it would be an interesting situation for janka to be in :p

i don’t put too much thought into wardrobe design since my main goal is just simplicity tbh, but i usually try to preserve the same silhouette and/or key elements of their original designs!! when i do other modern au drawings i like giving kimono-style collars to zanzan and loose, baggy stuff to jabber

the brush i use for all my sketches & lineart is teyoid’s lineart brush for procreate. it’s free to download! and then i use procreate’s native marker roll + plenty brushes for coloring and shading :D

hi, i’m glad you like my art! :DD i can’t promise what kinds of stuff i’ll make in the future though. i make art for whatever i’m into at the moment. and i know i’ve said this like a thousand times, but making comics way more time consuming for me than anything else i draw, so i wouldn’t count on seeing new content consistently.

Hiii I really love your art. How do u know what canvas size to use when u draw your comics?

thanks for the question! i just use procreate’s default screen size, actually (2048 x 2732 for my device). if i don’t end up using all the space on a page i just crop it after exporting :3 when i outline my chapters i know to keep each page to 4 panels max, that tends to be the most i can fit on one page while still being readable!
