As my other socials are getting strange and I don’t need my family and friends watching my content get weird and weird (ig, cursed the contact rec). I’m back  and I mean to stay. So, Hello everyone!!!

my pronouns are she/her but I’m not going to give my personal info. I’m not confortable with it. 

mother tongue is spanish, but I will be posting in english.

My Book buying "addition".

OK... The thing is that today I only wanted to go out, clear my mind, go out of my house (it was a boring day) and been Sunday only a few shops were open.

I showered early so I could go out, dressed, and took my bag. And out I went. I really didn't have to buy anything except for one clear squared box and some skin care products in the pharmacy close to my house.

But as I said, I wanted to walk around to not be in the house. So, I keep walking in the streets. My neighborhood is a commercial one. A lot of shops and trendy stores. But, as all Sundays, most of them are closed I didn't think that I will buy unexpected things, on a whim.

But I reach the main street, and there you have it. The paradise of books. One of the main stores of books in my country is El Ateneo. This is a franchise of stores that sells books, music, manga, stationery, etc. So, I went in to see what was new and spent time there, for about an hour. Walking the two floors and reading the back of books I didn't know.

And like that, I was in front of the poetry section of the store. I wanted to read poetry for a long time. It was months that I was thinking of starting to read poetry; a genre I never read before on my one. So, after another 30 minutes in this section. I bought 2 of the 3/4 that I was inclined to buy.

I know that it was something that I wanted for months but spending $12.000 (pesos) - Almost $50 dollars it's too much for my monthly salary ($440 dollars approx). I spent almost 1/4 of my salary on this buy. I know that next week I'll cash my check, but... It worries me.

I have to say, I am super happy with my books, I will read them with love and I'm excited to read them. But, I need to space my hauls. I know that book-buying it's my hobby. A real hobby, I love to have my collection grow. But, I just need to prioritize my spending.

This feeling of buying stuff for you and your enjoyment, makes you question your spending habits, more when you have to watch your money for the time being?

shower. not a bath, a shower. use water as hot or cold as u like. u dont even need to wash. just get in under the water and let it run over you for a while. sit on the floor if you gotta.

moisturize everything. use whatever lotion u like. unscented? dollar store lotion? fancy ass 48 hour lotion that makes u smell like a field of wildflowers? use whatever you want, and use it all over. 

put on clean, comfortable clothes. 

put on ur favorite underwear. cute black lacy panties? those ridiculous boxers u bought last christmas with candy cane hearts on the butt? put em on.

drink cold water. use ice. if u want, add some mint or lemon for an extra boost.

clean something. doesn’t have to be anything big. organize one drawer of ur desk. wash five dirty dishes. do a load of laundry. scrub the bathroom sink. 

blast music. listen to something upbeat and dancey and loud, something that’s got lots of energy. sing to it, dance to it, even if you suck at both.

make food. don’t just grab a granola bar to munch. take the time and make food. even if it’s ramen. add something special to it, like a hard boiled egg or some veggies. prepare food, it tastes way better, and you’ll feel like you accomplished something. 

make something. write a short story or a poem, draw a picture, color a picture, fold origami, crochet or knit, sculpt something out of clay, anything artistic. even if you don’t think you’re good at it.

go outside. take a walk. sit in the grass. look at the clouds. smell flowers. put your hands in the dirt and feel the soil against your skin.

call someone. call a loved one, a friend, a family member, call a chat service if you have no one else to call. talk to a stranger on the street. have a conversation and listen to someone’s voice. if you can’t, text or email or whatever, just have some social interaction with another person. even if you don’t say much, listen to them.

cuddle your pets if you have them/can cuddle them. take pictures of them. talk to them. tell them how u feel, about your favorite movie, a new game coming out.

Recientemente,

30 años. 

Vivía en mi mente como una persona heterosexual. Hubo pistas en toda mi vida, mis luchas y mi percepción de mí misma. Pensé, en mi ignorancia de mí misma, que lo que escuché toda mi vida cristiana era quién era yo.

MUJER. DERECHO. UNA BUENA CHICA.

Me vi a mí misma a través de ese velo. Solo tengo que ser atractiva para los hombres. ¿Qué pasa si nunca pensé en mi boda, una familia con un compañero y bebés? Mi concepto de la vida estaba teñido. Que nunca sería una buena esposa para él, una buena madre de mis hijos y estaría preparada para vivir una vida de buena católica.

Busco el desconocimiento sobre mi atracción por otros géneros, sobre mi cercanía con el despertar sexual que las mujeres me provocaban. 

Grito. 

Todo tipo de atracción magnética hacia mi mismo género y personas no binarias.

Estaba observando las características estereotipadas de la mujer en los hombres. Buscaba hombres más femeninos. Como mi atracción me llevó hacia esta preferencia personal. Buscaba pareja pero nunca la encontré en un hombre. Tenía miedo de tener una relación.

Me consideraba una virgen ingenua, una fracasada en el Amor. Incluso negaba el concepto, de ser real.

Escéptica.

Pensé en los hombres como seres "malvados", que estaban allí para dañar mi confianza, mi yo-sexual. Incluso mi Valor.

Hoy como mujer demisexual, bisexual y romántica de 30 años, me veo fuera de este velo (sin duda que seguro que hay más), del odio hacia mí misma, la homofobia interna, la bi-fobia, la propia misoginia con la me criaron y mucho más.

Ese único concepto de Mí misma fue ignorado, en los últimos meses con el conocimiento de aquello, lastimándome y a mi vida en general.

No digo que hoy me acepto todos los días. Pero cada día es más fácil. Mi salud mental no es lo que se supone que es, pero estoy trabajando en ello.

When I came out to myself...

Recently, 

As a 30 y-old person, I was living in my mind as a straight one. There were clues all over my life, my struggles, and my perception of myself. I thought, in my ignorance of myself, that what I hear all my Christian life was who I was. 

WOMAN. STRAIGHT. A GOOD GIRL.

I saw myself with that veil. I have to be attractive to men, only. What if I never thought about my wedding, a family with a male partner and babies- my concept of life was tinted with wrongness. That I would never be a good wife to my husband, a good mother of my children and be prepared to live a life of a good catholic.

I search for ignorance about my attraction to other genders, about my closeness with the sexual awakening that women spark in me. I shout down all kinds of magnetic pulling towards my same gender and no-binary people.

I was looking at stereotypical-woman characteristics in men. I was looking for more feminine men. As my attraction led towards this personal preference. I was looking for a partner but I never found it in a man. I was scared to go for a relationship. 

I thought of myself as a naive virgin, as a failure in Love. I even deny the concept of it as real. I thought of men as ‘evil’ being that was there to hurt my confidence, my sexual self. Even my worth. 

Today as a demisexual, bisexual and romantic woman of 30 years old, I see myself out of this veil (no doubt that surely there are more of them), of self-hate, internal homophobia, bi-phobia, and so much more.

That sole concept of myself was ignored - in the last months with the knowledge of it, hurting myself and my life as a whole.

I do not say that today I accept myself every day. But it’s easier every day. My mental health it’s not what it’s supposed to be but I’m working on myself.
