Hipster Playing Cards
If you choose to conceal your tells during a game of poker with a pair of neon plastic Wayfarers, these are probably the cards you should be playing with. This deck of Hipster Playing Cards showcase all the classic gear everyone wore, ate or drank as they waited in line on Record Store Day for new LPs that you’ve probably never heard of. From staches to calculator watches, all the quintessential items on a hipster’s shopping checklist are simplistically drawn upon these playing cards. Whether you’re mocking or happen to be a closet hipster yourself, break these out along with some Pabst for your next poker night.

Voice Authenticating USB Drive
We all have sensitive files that never need to see the light of day. Maybe it’s blackmail information on your boss, or a top-secret chicken recipe or photographic evidence of the location of all your special friend’s moles, but you don’t want those things floating around on the open Internet. You throw it all on an encrypted jump drive because then you have hardware and software control of the device. Shortly thereafter (trust us, we’ve been there), you forget the password. This happens a few times and inevitably you use something like “Password1″ just so you don’t forget. That’s one of the first things a hacker will guess. This 8GB Voice Authenticating USB Drive prevents that from happening by unlocking your secret files with your voice. This obviously makes it difficult to use if you’re sick and/or in a room with anyone else, but there’s standard typing for those occasions.

Day Maker
Mornings suck. There’s no way to sugarcoat it. The first thing you hear are those soul-crushing beeps of your alarm clock. Just the sound of your alarm at any point during the rest of your day will send a shiver down your hunched over spine. The guys at HabitCo are trying to change that whole “Maybe I can just call out sick?” feeling with Day Maker. We have to admit, the alarm-meets-toaster design is a bit bizarre and quirky, but if it helps us get the day going, we’re down. Set the alarm on your iPhone in either the standard iPhone clock or Day Maker app and push it down like you would a piece of whole wheat. When it pops up, so will you (or snooze by pushing it back down like if you wanted some extra burnt toast). No word yet on how it cooks our bacon.

Illuminated Pool Barstool
The cool new Illuminated Pool Barstool is a submersible pool stool that illuminates for nighttime mood lighting. It features a four-color LED array that can be set to flash, fade or lock into a color of your choice, acts like a giant screw that adjusts the seat height from 24" to 36" H, and has a remote to control it poolside. Unfortunately it doesn't include a pool bar to pull it up to.

The Medium Control Tees
Having medium control sounds like a good place to be. Like how you feel after just a few beers (whatever “a few” means for you). Medium Control tees, created by a screen printing husband and wife duo, have that same comfortable feeling. Because even if you’ve never donned a pair of waders, that fly fishing tee somehow seems like a good choice.

Evil Hot Gummi Bears
These cool new Evil Hot Gummy Bears may look like cute and innocent little gummy bears, but these devil-in-disguise gummies are infused with habanero peppers to create a searing inferno in your mouth. A perfect balance of pain and pleasure. You could also mix a few in with regular gummy bears for an interesting prank.

Sensu Brush
We've seen plenty of awesome painting apps for the iPad, but let's face it: no matter how good the app, you're probably still just finger painting. Unless you're using the Sensu Brush. This smart tool combines a rubber-tipped digital stylus with a capacitive paintbrush in a single, sleek, silver package that gives you all the feeling and responsiveness of a real brush without the mess. Available in May.

Pencil Dice
You’re probably not going to be able to sneak them onto a Craps table at a casino, but you shouldn’t have any trouble using these Pencil Dice during a class if you think a bit of gambling will help pass the time during a particularly boring lecture. (From my experience university profs get unreasonably upset when you start rolling actual die in class.) They’re your basic six sided pencil except that on the end they’ve been printed with dots on each side numbering one to six. They’re probably not perfectly and equally weighted on each side to produce truly random results, but your classmates who you’re hustling don’t have to know that.
