what is the appeal?

If you mean about Mineta. I like his character design, his quirk, and his cute voice. Unlike 80% of the Bnha fandom, I’m not completely new to anime and their jokes, so his acts of perversion just make me blink.

And SPITE.

That people would brush off murderers and almost-p*dos (cause Midnight is sus, come on), but they draw the line at a teenager that clearly has some sort of issue.

Also the potential for character development and backstory that Hori will never take but nice fanfic writers will. Same reason I love Kouda, Aoyama, and Ojirou.

I just love him.

i mean you’re not wrong when you say midnight kinda sus and i don’t think it’s right to brush off people like members of the L.O.V like e.g dabi (i’m not gonna say what he did incase you haven’t read ch290) because murder is still murder regardless of motivation but at least with dabi he has a tragic back story but with mineta, he just gropes and sexually harasses teenage girls cause he’s “horny” even tho normal teenage boys around 15-16 wouldn’t go that far cause of teenage hormones.

take denki for example. sure he flirts with some of the girls and asks them out but he isn’t creepy about it and he definitely doesn’t grope them.

Keep in mind he’s a child. There could be a lot of things behind what he does. He doesn’t have to be forgiven for his acts, but unlike Dabi he’s still redeemable and able to be a better person.

15-16 is not a a child it is someone in their mid teens so don’t give him that excuse

he would need to start working on being a better person soon so he could be seen by the characters AND the audience as a better person that has learned from his “mistakes”

while i can agree he probably does have issues i can’t see them making it stem from something serious as in my hero when he does something e.g grope tsu it’s played off as sort of a joke but it would be nice to actually see back story on why he does it and he could then over come it and be a good hero

If dabi truly cared for his family he wouldn't do this.

He wouldn't reveal his identity trying to cancel endeavor.

He knows this will hurt rei and his siblings,he knows that this is gonna follow all of them for the rest of their lifes.By staying away from his family endeavor wanted them to start a new life but dabi just ruined every chance of that happening for his own selfish gains.

so can we stop viewing him as some secret soft boy? He's a selfish prick who doesn't care about anyone but himself and honestly that's the best route horikoshi can go with his character

I'd rather have dabi be someone who descended into madness a long time ago then someone who is like " but in reality he still loves his family uwu" guy
