Ok finally a normal setting for the interview lol. Paul honestly looks really nice in this blue top and Gene is vibing in the red of course. Also please be aware of Mark’s hilarious facial expressions sometimes they are incredible lol. Gene and Paul admittedly have some good harmonies, there was one clip where the two of them and Eric and Bruce sang white Christmas and I’m telling you those harmonies are actually so lovely. I honestly wonder if these are actual real life stories or not where they’d play Beatles songs on the street and some of Paul’s neighbours taunting them. Paul swearing is so funny to hear lol
Wow I wasn’t expecting the archives to look so dark and gothic? Is this in Gene room, it’s foreshadowing to the giant room he has dedicated to kiss memorabilia, which is a mood. There’s so many cute photos and posters and whatnot, we got Genes axe bass, Paul’s guitar from the asylum tour and his sailor hat, which I love. There’s an Ace puppet, which was clearly 1979 not 1977 Gene, that says “I’m alive and well, where am I.” lol. There’s albums and Genes codpiece and Paul’s jacket, there’s a model of genes costume with a paper bag over his head, there’s a piano for Beth and Christine sixteen, I need Paul to play piano more, and a Key to the city from Bali? Ok pop off bys lol.

Ok Kiss live in Winterland is pretty cool! This hits harder now that Ace has passed but man these shows must be amazing to watch. Also the black and white really adds to their old aesthetic, I wonder if it was recorded in colour but probably not. Deuce is so iconic I can’t think of a show without it, it’s simple but it’s effective and genes performance in this version is great. I love how when they did the Deuce move, they would change directions to do, I wish they did that more often, cool stuff.
Strutter! I love Strutter! And I love that Cobo Hall Show. I still prefer the version of Strutter from 1988 at the Monsters of Rock concert which you should listen to it’s perfect. Also why does the lighting slay here lol. And also, why was it so difficult to find a good version of it on YouTube or was I being stupid again?
Oh Ace, I still love you and appreciate you for everything you’ve done, that guitar solo with the smoking guitar is truly iconic, you can’t get anything wrong with it, and he’s in his Dynasty costume too, makes that ten times more iconic lol. Genuinely looks so impressive with the guitar flying in the air, they were very ahead of their time
I’ve said it before but Beth is one of my favourite kiss songs ever, I love singing it every chance I get and I think Peter has one of the nicest voices in the band. Don’t know how kiss fans listen to this, that is clearly a backing track, and be ok with it but throw a hissy fit when Paul does it but that’s a rant for another day lol. I do love how they are paying tribute to them here in this video to some degree though, makes me feel more melancholic after Aces passing

Ok Genes blood spitting freaked me out as a child and I was so confused by it. But now I’m enjoying it, the way I screamed bloody murder for it when I saw them as a teen is so funny to me cause 7 year old me would be horrified by it lol. Ok seriously why was this concert clip so hard to find in good quality what the hell?
The 1980 concert in Australia is one of my favourite kiss concerts, Eric bringing in the faster pace is deeply satisfying, and this version of Detroit rock city they played here is fantastic, I love the vocal riffs Paul does. Dumb question, but how come Paul got a new outfit when Gene and Ace stayed the same. I mean, I like this outfit he has but it just doesn’t really make sense he already has the purple outfit from Dynasty? I don’t know maybe he wanted to go rogue and have another outfit like the sassy lad he is lol
Man I love pools, I wish I could relax in one, before the heat completely disintegrates me. Why does the outside of the manor look so majestic, with the weeds growing on the side of it and everything, it really feels so full of life, like a luxury hotel almost. Ok but I love this song it’s so good, I heard from Bruce it was based on a Motown riff which is pretty cool! I love the guitar solo, the chorus is simple and infectious, It’s just such a good song! The rainforest aesthetic for the music video is also deeply iconic, again Paul with the fringe gloves and swinging on the rope is amazing, oh I love this song so much lol. Why does this music video look so crisp it’s beautiful, I can see every strand of hair here, good job on the HD guys
The story of Kiss getting their name is actually really cute, I love how Paul just brought it up as a joke like the king he is. Also them with the fake Brooklyn accent is honestly really funny, I don’t know why but I find the stupidest things to find hilarious

Well I do like this song so I’ll take it. I do like the post apocalyptic environment of this video, I think it’s really cool actually, very 80s vibes. The comments under this video is actually hilarious, the way they say Gene is having nightmarish stares and whatnot, the real reason is because he was clearly not comfortable without the makeup, it’s so funny. I do believe they were being harsh, especially Paul because he was hot in this video, but man this is hilarious, god bless the lick it up music video lol
