Hello! My name's Randomic, but you can call me Random, Ran or Dom, i use she/her pronouns, but i don't mind using he/him.

I'm an brazilian artist, my main is @somerandomicthings , where sometimes i post art(mostly digital), and this blog is more to express some ideas that i have if i was to rewrite Warriors, so i just more of a fun project, but i'm open to sugestions.

This is more of a masterpost, that i will be adding stuff later, and also there's a links masterpost, so you can see all the more info stuff organized.

Some things that i want to do is:

- A wishlist of some form, that is not conect to this masterpost;

- Totally removing the Tribe, and reworking the quest of The New Prophecy;

- Changing some names, i just can't with the 4 Robinwings and 2 Tigerstar;

- Making designs, because i love drawing theses silly cats;

- Change stuff around obviously;

- Have fun with this.

Before ending this to do the Português part, here is my inspirations for making a rewrite in the first place, also giving some credit and asking you to check their rewrite.

@fatal-rewrites-warriors (main inspiration, their rewrite is interesting as hell) @notwarriorswiki (her art is so adorable and good, i have to have a better look at her rewrite, because is so interesting) @thistledown-au-warriors (i just started reading the AO3 fanfic, i recommend it), @bonefall (obviously, their rewrite is so cool and massive, Millie's radio collar is my favourite au).

Eu sou uma artista brasileira, meu principal é @somerandomicthings , onde algumas vezes eu posto arte(geralmente digital), e esse blog é mais para eu expressar algumas ideias que eu tenho, se eu fosse reescrever Gatos guerreiros, então é mais um projeto por diversão, mas estou aberto à sugestões.

Isso é mais um masterpost(que seria o post com diversos links e informações), e eu vou adicionar mais coisas mais tarde.

Algumas coisas que eu quero fazer são:

- Uma lista de desejos(ou mais de coisas que desejo fazer) de alguma forma, que seja separada desse post;

- Remover totalmente a tribo, e retrabalhar na aventura da Nova Profecia;

- Mudar alguns nomes, eu apenas não posso com 4 Asas de Pintarroxo/Asas de Pisco e 2 Estrelas tigradas;

- Fazer designs, porque eu amo desenhar esses gatos temperamentais;

- Ter diversão enquanto faço isso.

Já vou avisar rápidinho, que eu não estou muito familiarizado com os nomes em português, já que é mais fácil achar a série em inglês, desde que ela parou de ser adaptada e traduzida para o Brasil, e que depois do post da Ferncloud, eu parei de traduzir os posts, por demorarem muito tempo e serem desgastantes de se fazerem.

Antes de eu passar para o português, tem um parágrafo falando quais foram as minhas inspirações para essa reescrita.

Se tiver algum erro de português que eu não percebi, só me diz que eu arrumarei.

Babysitting with Icefoot!

Icefoot after the defeat of Star Tigerclaw, expected his life to be very peacefull, Lynxfoot already graduated, maybe a new apprentice would be good.

He didn't expected however, his brother, Fireheart, kits being born, and while Fireheart took care of them, and Sandstorm was occupied being deputy(yes, no Firestar here, it's another cat in leader position here), so when Fireheart needed to go to hunt or patrol to get away a bit from the nursery, Icefoot was asked by him to take care of his nieces, he accepted relucantly.

But Icefoot didn't expect however, was one day, that all parents in the nursery were to go patrol, so he had not only to take of his nieces, oh no, he had to watch ALL KITS in the nursery.

Let's just say that Leaf and Shrew are his favourites to take care off, while White is in the middle, and Spider and Squirrel are the least, with Squirrel being in the far end.

Family sketches! Silverstream and Graystripe

This sketch i made while thinking about how toms don't help raise kits in canon, of course they bring prey and talk to their kits, but that's not enough considering that she-cats have to stay 6 moons in the nursery, without patroling and all.

So i decided to do some fluff, with a family that i should have posted some time ago, but i can get to write to post, just not feeling it, anyway, enjoy this little sketch of Graystripe helping his mate, distracting his kits so she can cleaning another kit of theirs in peace.

Also, Silverstream is not a tortie anymore, i couldn't find a way to make it look good on her.

Changes for 2024!

Introdution

Theses changes happened because of many reasons, some because after alot of thinking, i decided to go against it, others would be to erase some weird things, or because i thought of making other things that i think that would be better than what i iniciatilly thought.

This includes family relations, pairings and etc.

The changes

The romance between Dustpelt and Ferncloud is being removed, Dustpelt is now a solo dad, and he still fathers Spiderleg and Shrewpaw with a random loner, Ferncloud gets paired with Daisy, and adopts Berrynose, Mousewhisker and Hazeltail as her own, while having Toadstep and Rosepetal later, both raise their kits with much love and care. The rest of their original kits(Larch, Holly, Birchfall, Foxleap and Icecloud) will go to other cats, the already planned ones are Foxleap and Icecloud being Snowtail's kits(Rewrite's Snowkit, Snowtail is a placeholder name for now, as i can't think a better name for him);

Ferncloud and Ashfur dad being Tornears is being fully removed, as it was just a way so Spiderleg could get very long legs, so for now, Tornears is childfree, and the siblings father is a unknown loner;

If a cat parent adopts a cat, and that adopted cat descendent and a relative from the cat parent(a biological kit or uncle for example) gets together, it's still considerate incest, basically: Adopted cat's relatives count the same thing as biological related cats;

Heathertail and Breezecloud are not a couple in the rewrite, Breezecloud's kits(if AVS happens in the rewrite) will be solo his, making a den dad, while Heathertail will be focusing on herself more;

Tigerheart is being renamed as Talonheart, in honour of Rowanclaw's apprentice that died young.

New things for 2024!

A post about roaming loners in the culture of the clans, it js about loners that are the sire or the dam of some cats from the clan, how the clans view loners, the culture around it, the consenqueses of the Star Oakspeckle actions on loners and Kittypets, loner groups and that's all i think about it for now;

The family tree of Graystripe, and more to come;

Finish the clans allegiance family(that is a massive doc that i have, that have all cats that appear in the books from Mapleshade's vengeance till The last hope, that says who is family with who);

Posting the allegiances from Into the wild or Mapleshade's vengeace(which one i think it's best to start with), with all clans, with art about it;

Make art from scenes, daily life of the clan, relationships, interactions between clanmembers or cats outside the clans, etc;

Maybe write a scene instead of drawing, but it's a strongly maybe, since i'm not focusing on it so much;

A post about the relationships between the clans;

More on the mentalities of the clans, of one "being welcoming to outsiders", "being welcoming to other clans" and "more pure blood" in the clans, and how they affect the cats;

A redesign of the lake territory, maybe the forest too, but the main focus is the lake territory.

Maybe there will be more things, but it's what i already thought about it.

Also, it's a sketch instead of a full art, and i wanted to show the Badgerfang sketch someway :).

A leader and his daughter

Star Crookedjaw and Silver, later know as Silverstream.

I think most of Crookedjaw's story will stay the same, i still thinking if i should change his name to Storm, but i enter another question on what his suffix should be, because i don't if i put the name Stormjaw would be nice? Since i don't want to his name to have some weird implications, but i don't know if it has, so i'm in the fence here.

The only main difference i can think about, is that his chapters with Bluefur are swapped with Oakheart, and the lovers have more time in the background.

Silverstream's design is a big question here, since i wanted her to have some torbie parts, to resemble her dad a little, and because later, she has a second litter that consists of Bumblestripe, Blossomfall and Briarlight, so it can explain why Blossom is a torbie and where Briar's brown come from, but i don't like how the torbie parts looks here, i will have to have a better look later.

And yes, Silverstream will survive the kitting, as it's a massive b*llsh*t that Silverstream dies while kitting, with the excuse that she was too young, but Princess had Cloudtail when she was also young just fine. So i think i will have her around till the end of the rewrite(and if the rewrite goes to the vision of shadows arc, she would die in this arc, as elder trying to defend her home from Darktail, and yes, Darktail would still be a villian in AVOS, even when he is in Windclan).

Featherdapple sketch

Featherdapple is Dappletail's deaf kit that is mentioned in TPB(his name is Featherkit), he is described as pure white with blue eyes, in the rewrite i decided to add some grey spots on his back and neck, for some diversity(since Whitestorm, Frostfur and Cloudtail exist).

He will be the father of Snow and Mistle(Snowkit and Mistlekit from Speckletail), he is the oldest from his litter, with his sibling, Cricketjump being the younger one, his mother is Dappletail and his father is Stormtail.

More things about him and his siblings here.

Some things i want to say why i disappeared for some months and some other things, but if you don't any interest in that, i will put bellow the cut.

Basically: A lot of sh*t happened, first of all, school was hell in the end, but since day 13 of this month i'm free, i'm almost out of a massively art block that i'm having since the end of november, and the best thing for the end, the weather in my city is getting so hot, that most of the time, i can only use my notebook in the night, since it's overheating, so in the day i have to use a fan to keep it cool.

It's alot, but i will try to post more, together with another project of mine, Garlicclan, i have another drawing to post before this year ends, but i will try and post a scene before 2024.

I think i will change the colours of that Smallear art in the most recent post, since he looks very similar to Graystripe, that he could be his father for how eerily similar they are, i will make his fur lighter to try and fix it.

The clans writing and art

How their writing and art works and how it's made?

The paper that commonly is write and drawn on, is made of papyrus(i know it's on Egypt, but since it's fictional, i think it doesn't matter so much), and the things they use write and draw with vary by clan and acessbility.

For historical events and important cats, cats write on clay, since clay can last for very long time without going bad, they write on it using strong sticks, elongated stones that were sharpened or crafted tools for it.

All the clans can use animal's blood from rests of fleshkill, trough that can be considered a waste if the freshkill can still be eaten, so cats eat all they can while writing.

All the clans use flowers to write and paint(mainly paint and draw), Thunderclan and Windclan have a large variety of flower types, whille Shadowclan and Riverclan unfortunally only have acess to the lotus flower and water lily in their territory, and as variety thoses flowers can be, it's very small compared to the Wind and Thunder diversity. The paint are made as the flowers are smash in a bowl, into a paste and puts alchool or hot water(depending in which clan that the material will change), and mash it with a mash tool(i couldn't find the name sorry), and the paint is made.

The next is kinda complicated as it uses fire, the clan has to start a small fire, pick a tiny stick, burn the tip, put out the fire, and use the coal as an writing pencil, it's more recommended to do it in Riverclan than any other clan(Principally Thunderclan in drought season), as it can cause massive fire, to make a small fire safelly, you would need to circle it with alot of stones and it's recommend it to put it in the middle of the clearing, away from any plants or flammable tools and objects.

For paints, it's very recommended to use a brush instead of your fingers, so you wouldn't accidentally paint your own fur, and it's hell to take the paint of the fur, so the brush is made with a stick or a stone that is more elongated than common, use a cotton(that can planted by the Riverclan, Windclan with their massive open moor can more easily plant it, but Shadowclan and Thunderclan can't plant it, since their territory have more shade, so the cotton can't grow, so they have to trade with Windclan and Riverclan) or squirrel's tail to use as the part were the paint goes, after painting or writing, it would need cleaning before using it again.

Where it originate from?

The modern clans writing system originally came from the Park cats, as they would learn it from the humans(the term two-legs wouldn't exist at that time) with them coming at their park, which Riverstar teached his own clan about, changing and creating new symbols for better understanding of his clan, but he was kind enough to share his knowledge with the rest of the clans.

The first painting came from Windclan, with a cat named Dust Muzzle, creating a painting of his family, Windstar, Gorse fur and Moth flight, the painting was said to be beautiful, even when it was also said to be very distorced and disproportionated when compared to the real cats, but the painting was lost by time, but with that Windclan created a tradition, to every new crafter, they have to try to draw the first painting with their own interpretation on how Dust Muzzle's would look like.

This a painting that an unknown apprentice made, this is their own interpretation on how Dust muzzle and his family would look like.

The Writing system itself

The writing system is very simple actually, since i don't want to waste hours and hours of my life creating a new complex writing system, so it will use own alphabet but with symbols instead of letters, but it doesn't mean it doesn't have its how rules to follow:

Each symbol has a explanation on why i choose it specifically, i picked up names that start with that letter, so for example: Petal for the letter P, and the symbols can only have one colour however, so it's easier to identify it.

Symbols:

A = Acorn;

B = Bee;

C = Cloud or Cherry;

D = Daisy;

E = Egg;

F = Feather(new), Fern(outdated);

G = Grass;

H = Heather plant;

I = Simple Ice pattern(new), complex ice pattern(outdated);

J = Jagged line(new), Juniper berries(outdated);

K = Kestrel bird;

L = Leaf or Lion;

M = Maggot;

N = Moon, since it appear at night;

O = Olive;

P = Petal or Pine;

Q = Quail bird head;

R = Rat or Rain;

S = Snake or Spots or Sun;

T = Tadpole or Thistle;

U = Motion to something that is under something;

V = Vine;

W = Web or Wolf;

X = Of viXen(i couldn't find anything, sorry);

Y = Yarrow;

Z = Three Zigzag patterns;

After know which symbol is which letter, you should know how to write it, for example, we will use Fireheart's name as an example:

The right way to spell words here, is writing them down, and using an arrow bellow the last symbol, to move to the next vertical line, and "-" that separate the words, so it doesn't get too confusing.

And when you write a cat's name, you have to ask them, which symbol they use if that symbol have more one option(example S, with 3 options), since using 2 or 3 different symbols in the same word is wrong and cause confusion, principally if the symbol is outdated, so for example, Fireheart use Rain instead of Rat for his R.

The wrong way to spell the words is writing horizontally, using both the arrow and "-" incorrectly, multiple different symbols in the same word and the wrong symbol for the cat, and using outdated symbols.

Outdated symbols were the original ones, but fell out of use for one reason or another, example: "F" used to be a fern, but feel out of use, since it was too similar to "H" symbol, heather, so now the feather is used instead of the fern.

Finalization + author notes

This took way too long, but i'm happy with the result, i accept construtive criticism about it!

I wanted to use this kinda of ""Writing system"" for some time(even when it's not, but i like to swap the words with other drawings, it's cool), this thing will be more present in how the clans preserve their history, of course, things are still lost by time, but somethings like the clans leaders of each era, important events and cats, prophecy and etc.

And a litttle challenge, more like a dare, can you guess what Smallear wrote in the paper?

Anyway, again, english is not my first language, so if you find any mistakes, tell me and i will fix it.

1. how far removed do you like to take the family tree when it comes to cousins and other relations? Like is there a point where it doesn’t matter like third and fourth cousins? (I say this since you mentioned Dove and Tiger would share a same great grandma/great great grandma, making them second/third cousins respectively which on it’s own isn’t really that bad genetic wise but I’m not sure how you categorize it in the rewrite)

2. If Tigerheart isn’t Tawny’s son, why did Rowan name him Tiger-?

3. How far back do the cat track their family lines? Do they call themselves by a specific family name?

Oh hi, don't worry i type alot too, sorry for the long response, but answering your questions:

1 - Well, i prefer to totally remove that they are related by blood if they are a couple, for more genetic diversity, and for new blood in the clan(as inviting loners and kittypets into the clan), one example i can think of is Heathertail and Breezecloud, since i totally rewrote that Onewhisker and Ashfoot are siblings, so now only Ashfoot and Morningflower are siblings from another pairing, while Onewhisker is the solo kit of Wrenflight and Stagleap.

But Breezecloud and Heathertail would be still tecnically related, IF Heathertail was Ruby's kit together with Darktail, but since she is not, they are not related.

However, i'm still thinking about the Tawnyclaw being the mother of Tigerheart thing, since i don't know if i should keep it or not, but i like the idea of Rowanclaw's kits being not related to Tigerclaw, so we have more diversity in Shadowclan, but i think i wouldn't mind making Tawny their mother in all honesty, as you said, it's not that horrible compared to other canon pairings(*cof* *cof* Ivypool and Fernsong *cof* *cof*);

2 - Honestly, i didn't thought of that when i made the Fireheart's family tree, so maybe i will make Rowanclaw rename him, since i was thinking of adding that Tigerclaw could manipulate Shadowclan before trying to murder Star Bluefur, as a fail safe if he couldn't murder her and that Shadowclan was weak at that time, so it was easier, so maybe Rowanpaw was one of the cats that were mostly manipulated by Tigerclaw, and created a admiration for him, but after Shadowclan discovers that they were tricked, so Tigerclaw can have his revenge on Thunderclan, maybe Rowanclaw wanted to name his kit after Tigerclaw as a "Firestar named Brambleclaw that way, so the clan could move on from the past" way, which i really don't like it.

But i'm thinking that i will rename Tigerheart as Talonheart, for Rowanclaw's apprentice that was hated crimed by kittypets(yes, that happened in canon), since i think he would really want to honour his apprentice, i don't know, i want some opinions here.

3- I think i already said in one of my posts, but i track 'till Mapleshade's Vengeance if possible, since if i'm not wrong, this is the most far back the clans was ever written that was still fairly close to the modern clans, and another reason is the impact that this era made on Thunderclan, since i think i didn't mention it yet(which is a crime), but Thunderclan after the Mapleshade's incident revoked all queen's rights, and the queen's rights would only return in Star Bluefur's reign, this brought so many problems in Thunderclan, since she-cats and toms that have kits outside the clan, would HAVE to name the other parent before the kit is born, so i think it made sense in the rewrite sense, as this era was very important to the clans, so why not start by it? Note: Only Thunderclan made this, the other three still had and have queen's right.

I forgot to answer the family name when i answered this, but adding it later better than never: No, while yes that some cat families have a famous, relevant or antagonistic against the clans's cat, and cats in universe can recall it, with some cats having a prejudice against them because of a family member(Brambleflower), or have some expectation on them from being related to some important clan figure(Silverstream or Whitestorm), but the family itself doesn't really have a name, it's more a way that i can organize myself.

Lol, just notice now that Fernsong and Ivypool are somehow more distant than what i thought in canon than Tigerstar II and Dovewing, wtf.

Basically in canon, Ivypool is Jake's great great grandkit(Jake is Firestar father and Cloudtail's grandpa), while Fernsong is Jake's great grandkit, so Tigerheart and Dovewing are more closely related than what i thought, ew.

Fireheart and Icefoot arguing about Lynxpaw

Fireheart was only trying to protect his brother, warning him about the potential danger that Lynxpaw could be, but he didn't expected his younger littermate to yell at him.

The two started to argue about, with Icefoot defending Lynxpaw and the hipocrisy of his brother's words, while Fireheart tries to argue back, bringing up that Tigerclaw is his father.

This would happen after Tigerclaw's exile, but before Swiftpaw's death, and two brothers would not talk to each other, until after Darkstripe's exile, as they would want to make ammends, after hearing that Darkstripe trying to poison his own little sister.

Version without text:

This one i wanted to add clothes to their designs, Fireheart's clothes are based off by Paladin's and Warrior's clothes in RPG, but i keep it very minimal, as in the time of the drawing, they were very close to the camp, so they would not need to use their "work" clothes.

Icefoot on the other hand was a challenge, i added a collar with the Thunderclan symbol, with a cat's claw in it(don't ask who's claw it is, since i'm still deciding who's), so there's a call back, to his original design, he has a camouflage type of shirt going on, as he would like to stay hidden.

Leopardfoot confronts Pine

This when Leopardfoot confronted Pine about him abandoning their remaining kit, Tiger, and breaking his promise, after he announced that he was leaving the clan to become a kittypet.

While Leopardfoot's family and the rest of the clan backed her up, Pine was apathetic, and after the whole clan berated him, Pine leaves without saying anything, to finally escape from Thunderclan, starting his new life.

Also, if you ask why they don't have clothes, it's because of 2 reasons, first is that in the original sketch, i forgot to add the clothes in Leopardfoot and when i finished it, it didn't even cross my mind.

The second reason is since Pine was going to leave the clan, he choose to stay without clothes, so that the twolegs could adopted him without suspecting about the clans, Leopardfoot was supposed to wear clothes, but even when i already posted and rebloged it, i couldn't think of clothes that could match her, so yeah, sorry.

Changed some parts about Leopardfoot in the Tigerclaw's family tree, as i found some problems with how i writed about how she raised Tiger, so i changed it.

I plan on while doing the big post, i would be doing some of theses things as little side things, so the family trees here wouldn't have as many info as Tigerclaw's or Fireheart's fam for example.

Thunderclan's allegiances are a big W.I.P that i'm still working in, but mostly of it is ready, just some cats that are still needing to be added or removed, the allegiances probably will suffer alot of rework as the rewrite goes, but nothing to worrying i hope.

The sketchs are more like concept arts, think about the Leopardfur drawing a week early, but being more about scenes of the rewrite, to see how things could work, and etc, some sketchs would be pretty random too.
