I can hardly remember what it was I wrote the last time. Just escaped essay purgatory, here's more stuff from my All Summer in a day, Ray Bradbury adaptation attempt. The forest!!
I was tearing my hair out trying to break down the look of Limbo when working on these, (I like my 3d space too much, I don't think that's for me...)
I wanted this to contrast heavily with the bunker, (Even though I worked on this environment first, if we're talking chronological stuff), and I knew that if everything was the same spread of greens it would give regular earth jungle instead of. Well. Swampy forest not on earth. You live and you learn.

God, concept design is hard. It was hurting my brain, trying to mash the style of Limbo into fitting an environment that was 1) indoors and underground, and 2) SUPPOSED to be claustrophobic.
Posting the concept stuff one by one, since I've recently just finished that up, more OTW but for those who care, I included some WIPs and exploration thumbnails for the bunker tunnel environment.
Every now and again when I check in on tumblr I see that the sally bowles artwork is still getting attention.. I wasn't expecting consistent hip hip hooras for this long!
Character lipsync exercise (assignment, and we were provided model packs, didn't quite get a larger choice past morty and steven)!! Took twelve weeks and this is what I came up with (i met the requirements enough to be allowed to progress to cleanup)
30sec animatic and 17 ISH seconds of animation. I see where I can improve but heyho its done now...
ray bradbury summer in a day short story, but for class, make it a shitty indie game, but only step 1 of designing the art pack that might be used to make shit for that game, idk

Blame my illustration lecturer for giving us so much shit to do in 3 weeks. The basic rundown is, 4 props, 4 environments, 4 characters, 4 themes. Sci-fi, contemporary, fantasy, historical. I'd post the blurb I wrote for each wee story thing, if i GAF enough about any of them individually. But I will give you their names (characters) In order from first to last theres Dottie (robot), Jason/Jay, Nora, and Beatrice,,,,,
Imo, scifi has the best env, a tie between contemporary & historical for best char, and best prop goes to fantasy... Ok bye
