you ever realize you could have very easily become a really shitty person to this day if it werent for the completely random chance of having run into the right people
its that kinda shit that makes me feel really bad for certain minors that have run in with the wrong crowd and i hope eventually snap out of it
💀💜Cheers Loves!💜💀
AnimeNYC was amazing! Though I wasn’t allowed to bring my pistols, I had the chance to debut my revamped Ultraviolet Tracer on Saturday!

I used to mock the fact that so many tv shows and movies use people who are like 29 to play highschool students but you know what if it keeps fewer kids on set where some grody ass fucking pedo director could put their hands on them I’m all for highschool specials with crows feet and five o'clock shadow because honestly like 3 people total in Hollywood can be trusted and they’re on thin fuckin ice
i never thought about it that way before, but yes yes yes
Della Reese Has Passed Away at 86
Della Reese, who many know to be a spectacular jazz singer and a popular actress responsible for bringing us the magnificent Tess from Touched by an Angel, passed away on Sunday night at her California home. She was 86 years old.
From her buttery smooth yet powerful voice flowed hits like “Don’t You Know,” which was drawn from an aria from Puccini’s opera La Boheme. Reese’s delivery of the ballad left listeners with chills that could only be credited to her widely extensive range. Her clear and concise pronunciation allowed fans to sing along with the dreamy track.
Over the course of her exemplary career, she received four Grammy Award nominations.
In 1969, Della became a pioneer in television history by launching the first ever talker hosted by an African-American woman called Della. Not only did she pave the way for women who craved a fearless model to glean from, she also blazed her own trail for the start of a rather prominent acting career.
Although Della Reese had always proven mastery with her impeccable vocal abilities, perhaps she is more recently known for the role she played as experienced angel Tess on the magnetic and iconic television series Touched by an Angel. Throughout the show’s journey, Reese comfortably settled into the wise matriarchal character of Tess as she guides the other angels to understand their purpose. Despite the program being canceled during its debut 1994-95 season, a letter-writing campaign persuaded executives to return the show to its rightful place, proving its great significance. In the end, a halo clad Della Reese sparkled as the heavenly Tess for a total of nine glorious seasons, landing herself seven consecutive NAACP Image Awards as best lead actress in a drama and two Emmy nominations, along with a 1998 Golden Globe nod.
Regardless of how you came to know the multi-talented woman named Della Reese, there’s no doubt that you are now a better person because of it. Her profound accomplishments and amazing presence will continue to put a smile on all of our faces for many years to come.

Seriously, if you guys don’t stop reblogging this I am going to carpe someone’s neck and break it.

So if my students finish a quiz/test early, I ask them to draw me stuff on the back (partly so those who need more time are less self-conscious about still having the test out, partly because fuck yeah, pictures), and it may be the single best decision of my career.
In the past couple of weeks, I’ve told these kids that (a) the Romans believed there were demons in their public toilets and (b) the word for “janitor” comes from “ianitor”, which means “(door) guard”.
So now I’m getting drawings of superhero janitors taking on toilet demons, and it’s so beautiful.
Aaaaand today a student showed me a video of himself lighting a fire in his toilet while chanting the conjugation of the word “to be”.
He said he wanted to recreate the ancient toilet demons, and I have concerns.
K… but why conjugations of to be?
My students kept forgetting how to conjugate esse, so I turned it into a rhythmic chant that I had them say over and over. The problem is that when you chant ANYTHING in Latin it sounds like you’re summoning a demon, which they decided was awesome, so uh. Now I’ll just be randomly walking through the hallway and hear voices chanting, “sum es est! sumus estis sunt!”
I’m 99% sure my colleagues think I’ve started a cult.
Keep doing what you’re doing. I’m sure everyone will turn out all the better for it.
Don’t do drugs, ladies and gents. 😂😭😂😭😂😭

Is it just me or is the “body positive” movement not working? Like at all?
Other people have said this before/better, but the problem was presenting all women as beautiful as opposed to eliminating the need for women to be beautiful
It’s not working because the focus is STILL on trying to view yourself as attractive no matter how you look, instead of (as stated above) eliminating the need to feel “attractive.“
The body positive movement SHOULD be focused on bodily autonomy and taking care of your health. The best way to be “positive” toward your body is to treat it well, not by repeating some “I am beautiful” mantra over and over. You don’t have to be pretty. You don’t have to see yourself as pretty. Others don’t have to see you as pretty. PRETTY IS NOT IMPORTANT. Pretty is not your worth. You exist for you, not for anyone else’s gaze.

Things they don’t tell you about top surgery
- Talk to the surgeon about the size you want your new areolas/nipples (don’t be afraid to ask)
- Numbness. No one talks about this for guys who are about to have surgery. You’re going to be numb all in your chest area, especially where the incisions were. They cut nerves as they pass along your chest, and it can take up to a year to regenerate those nerves. Still, feels super foreign for the first two weeks
- Make your bed into a pillow chair, body pillow, two on each side, and two for your head.
- Sleep alone. I tried to sleep with my girlfriend and it was miserable. You really do need the entire bed for yourself
- Go on Groupon, & get yourself a 10 foot lightning cable iPhone charger, BEST THING EVER, can reach from wherever you are
- Don’t take a week off from work, take two. You will regret the one week, and love the extra time
- When they say “don’t move too much, even after the first week”. LISTEN. I moved way too much and got so sore super quickly.
- Drink lots of water & eat if your taking the pain medication, otherwise your stomach feels super funky.
- Get stool softeners, & don’t be afraid to take those babies. Don’t wait a week to poop. you’ll surely regret it.
- The drains are scary & they may hurt while draining or rewrapping your dressings, but once they come out, the second they do, its no more pain, its crazy.
i hope this helps someone, because i wish i knew all of this when i was having mine a month ago. Looking back its like everyone forgets all the real negatives, its a great experience, & i healed very well & quick compared to most, but the first few days are crazy. They hurt, suck but it gets better.
To the few guys I know having surgery this week!
-the headache you get a couple days after the surgery because the anesthesia is leaving your body hurts 200 times more than the surgery itself. And even that isn’t too bad.
-after a week or, you ITCH. It’s awful. Try not to touch your stitches too much. An ice pack will help.
