Thinking about the whole top n bottom vi discourse and how serious it got because people put a lot of emphasis on power in the relationship between her and caitlyn and think it'd be unsettling to see that play out by vi bottoming. Which begs the question:

why the hell are you even invested in the ship if that's how you see it? You want them to be together but then complain about power dynamics because all you can think about is the potential power caitlyn could exercise over her??? I don't get that...and vi bottoming wouldn't have anything to do with power in a healthy relationship but rather it'd have more to do with trust. That's the whole point, she'd trust caitlyn NOT to exercise any power over her despite their differences and can trust her to see her as an equal. Not someone to overpower in the bedroom?? Why do you even fuck with the ship if you're going to see it in such an unhealthy light... not to mention an experience like that would give vi the chance to let go, be vulnerable, allow her to trust, and gain pleasure all at once. Her needs are the main focus here, her desire and pleasure are what's important in a healthy relationship. I'm seriously concerned about how some of you view relationships atp to where you can't even see that sex with someone you love should never be about power but about each others pleasure. And for someone like vi who's spent her entire life thinking about others needs, seeing her be tended to in such an intimate way would be a beautiful thing

It also shows that people aren't asking what the characters might be seeking. Vi has had to be responsible basically her whole life - "it's all on you" as Vander told her (for good reason, but Vi overly-internalized these lessons) and sees her self-worth in protecting those she cares about (especially Powder/Jinx). Cait has had people controlling her entire life (remember that she immediately assumes Grayson was paid to not beat her at the competition) and not trusting her to make her own decisions her entire life (outright pulling strings to remove her from the Enforcers).

You don't think that maybe Vi trusting Cait to have complete control without abusing it would be a huge affirmation that Caitlyn is her own person rather than an extension of House Kiramman? You don't think that Caitlyn wants to let Violet just let go and enjoy herself without having to stress over the responsibilities and being the protector?

Honestly, if anything I think a moment where the line starts to be crossed could show how strong and healthy the relationship is is if Vi uses the safeword and Caitlyn does stop. How affirming to Vi's trust do you think it would be for her to know that she's safe to do it without fear of retaliation? How much do you think it would reassure Caitlyn to know that if she does go too far, Vi will call her out and feels safe enough to do so?

A huge underlying part of Piltover's Finest is overcoming the idea that they don't belong together because of what they are even though they are drawn to who they are. It's a challenge they need to overcome, but isn't overcoming those challenges the entire point?
