Is RW Jay, comics Jay, or MH Jay the hardest Jay for you to draw?

i wouldn't personally draw comics Jay any differently than webseries Jay just in a different outfit cuz Skully, but hmm probably MH Jay. RW Jay's facial hair and hat kinda makes it so i don't have to be as precise with his face shape

and Jay's face/head shape is Very important to get right. i think that's the make or break for me if a Jay i draw looks Good or Not. it's always the part i make sure looks right before i even bother with stuff like his eyes, nose, or lips

which isn't my usual work-flow! i only have a few other characters i think like that for but even then sometimes i can just be lazy and make one or two of their features do the work for me (like hair or nose shape) but NOT JAY

. 1. doing it right and getting his face/head shape right first

vs 2. trying to just draw his features correct and getting by on that alone (he's on the left if that isn't obvious)

Which MH selfcest ship is the hardest to draw?

probably anything with Alex because he's the one of the main four + jessica i've drawn the Least

i just haven't gotten to practice a lot how to do get his features down. he's the hardest for me to draw period, jay coming second

tim's easiest then jessica then brian (of the ones ive drawn so far. i've drawn amy i think Once but that'll change eventually)

i do end up liking my alex studies the best though

and ill never draw a better jay than these i fear

because i'm the most impassioned about it i guess? i just get...so many strong ideas that have a lot of emotional backing and that in general is what motivates me as an artist overall

two questions: what’s the general appeal of selfcest for you in this fandom and do you think you’ll get back on the wheel of drawing things for this blog some time soon?

hmmm that's tough because i just like selfcest in any/every fandom. i've been into it since link/dark!link from wayyy back in the 90s when i was a wee lad. i dunno if there's a specific draw here other than some of the characters literally having different versions of themselves (Hoody, Rosswood/Comic variants, Skully) that make my job easier

that depends because...i have so many drawing WIPs, plans, and even things i have to draw so... it's not off the table! i just dunno when i'll feel like making this a priority again. it'll be random for sure. i still have Ideas and i'm not out of being into it. i just put marble hornets fanart on a hold in general for a few months while i took care of some other things

it is not...i will share my other blogs when the point of this blog is over 🙂‍↕️for now its still an iykyk situation

but i might talk more about my views on the flavors of selfcest i cover! it depends on how inspired i get to ramble on them tbh
