NYMPHAE IS TECHNICALLY A SONA. kinda. anyway, they're from my poem 'run away nymphaea' abt a naiad who's lake is like... chemical stuff and it's slowly killing her... if ur not caught up on fairy lore naiads are basically bound to their place of birth like a serf in the middle ages, they can't leave.
they write endless notes and stuff, like full on vents abt how they want to leave and how they feel they're dying, but they have nobody to actually send the notes to, so they fold their thoughts into paper boats and put them in the lake, hence #drowning paper boats. paper doesnt float forever, and it only makes the lake harder to live in
i think i kinda made this character and then realised that they were just a very dramatic metaphor for myself so ig i stole their name and that's who i am now lol
