I know we’re all between different emotions. I’ve spent the last few months preparing to lose my favorite female character ever Emma Swan and when it came to it I wasn’t prepared at all. And then we also lost the other half of our beloved otp Killian without any warning. So it’s a little rough. 

BUT! We are also so unbelievably lucky. Because we got happy married CS with a baby on the way. They’re living in their house in Storybrooke and Snowing is there and everything is perfect. Of course we wanted more and we wanted to see Killian helping pregnant Emma, and him excited and scared to be a dad. We wanted to see their baby and see them hold it and their beautiful nursery that will probably be pirate themed. 

But that wasn’t Adam and Eddy’s choice. Jen wanted to leave and we have no choice but to respect that. So under the circumstances we got more than we ever could’ve asked for. Yes part of me wanted Killian to be in Hyperion Heights even if he was separated from Emma just so I could have one half of my otp. And that they would have a grown up kid there and they would have to get their memories back and once he did Killian would be with their child trying to get back to Emma. 

But even thought it hurts to lose them, this is so much better. We might never get Emma in an episode again (although I hope we do more than anything) or the show might not last. And what if it ended without ever truly seeing what happened to CS. This way we Know. 

Emma doesn’t have to be alone during her pregnancy like last time. She gets to be excited and buy things for the baby and raise them with Killian. He gets to be a father. They get to live in their house in Storybrooke and be happy, because a Lost Girl and a Lost Boy found home in each other. 

Under the circumstances, the writers went out of their way to make us happy. Shows have lost main characters before and never have I seen them try so hard to appease their fans the best they could. It’s not perfect because we want to see them every week on our screens. We wanted to be there for every big moment in their life. But we still got something. And I’m so so grateful. 

I’m grateful to this beautiful ship that gave me so much. That showed me no matter how broken you think you are, you are worthy of true love. And that you can find it. I’ve been here since the very beginning and we got everything we’ve been waiting six years for. 

So for now let’s be happy that our beloved ship got the happy ending (beginning) they deserve. We earned it.

Walter/Daniels

I knooooow everyone is shipping David/Walter and I get it!! Two Michael Fassbender androids kissing each other is BEAUTIFUL. But I l o v e Walter/Daniels, and I hope we get to see them again in some form. Just wondering how many others are out there.

It’s hard for us to accept the things that are happening. We find out half the cast is leaving in a week. We’re losing our Emma and half of CS. The show is going in a new direction with a new town and with only a few characters and now it’s moving to friday’s. This is A LOT of new information being given to us at one time. But let’s not freak out just yet. 

We know almost nothing about the new season or what any of the things they’re saying mean. Adam and Eddy have always been vague. We’re assuming the worst when we’ve got nothing to go on. 

Who’s to say a large part of S7 won’t be about getting Emma (and other characters) back. I mean her husband and son are still there, no way she won’t be mentioned literally every episode. Who’s to say we won’t have a CS kid joining in the adventure? It seems like it’s been at LEAST ten years if not longer because of a curse. That’s more than enough time for kids. 

Things we DO know: we’re gonna get Grandpa Killian!! Spoiling his granddaughter. Hook/Henry bonding! They probably got even closer after CS married. More Hook/Colin! Emma will be back for AT LEAST one episode. I can see us getting happy domestic CS, with them getting split up by a curse and he’s gotta find wifey. 

I can’t say exactly what they’ll do, but I would put money down on them not ruining CS or any of the other things they built for six years. They’ve done a lot of stuff we hate, but they love the story they’ve written. Otherwise they wouldn’t have written it. They would never just destroy six years of work. It would be so pointless. Hook won’t just forget his wife. I mean they’re true loves!

So let’s not panic just yet. Let’s see the information we get over the months. The trailers, the interviews, heck the freaking season premiere. They KNOW we love Emma and CS. They love them too. This show is about hope, so let’s try having a little.

I know the territory the show is going into is scary. We’re not going to have Emma or Snowing. The main character and foundations for the show. Not seeing my favorite character Emma on my tv every sunday is going to be Hard. But I’m going to choose to believe in what A&E are doing. They’ve made missteps here and there, but they’ve never truly let me down. We got happy Emma who believes in herself and found her family and is no longer alone. We got CS and a wedding!! 

They are not going to ruin six seasons of work. Things will be different, but this means even more Colin! We’ll get to see Mulan and Will Scarlet’s stories. Maybe arcs with new disney movies. More Hook backstory!! And I have no doubt that whenever the series finale comes, Jen will be there to play Emma again. Captain Swan has their happy beginning and no matter what happens, they will always have it.

I’ve been trying to think of the right words to say ever since the wedding and finding out about Jen. This is gonna be a lot of cheese though so bare with me. 

OUAT has mean the world to me. For six years it’s been my hope and something I always had to look forward to. Emma Swan was everything I wanted in a character. She’s my hero. She went from being a lost little girl to a woman who knows “she was never nothing” and is surrounded by people who love her. She gives me hope every single day. 

This show/Emma helped me during some of the toughest times of my life. Nothing can ever take away what it’s given me. How it’s changed me. 

I’ve always known that one day this show would come to an end, but having a week to process losing my favorite female character of all time... is a lot to deal with. I went from being the happiest CS shipper to the saddest Ugly Duckling. 

But I want to remind everyone what I’ve been reminding myself these past couple days. Just because Emma won’t be on our screens anymore and maybe Once might not be on anymore doesn’t mean it’s over. It isn’t tied to just the 6 seasons, these characters and stories will  be with us forever. I will take the lessons I learned with me, and we can all carry on the legacy of Emma Swan. 

Let us remember the gifts this show has given us. We got the best hero we could ask for in Emma. We got years of pining with her TL. They went on every kind of adventure possible, from going to the past, to being Dark Ones together, from literally going to the underworld to save each other. Things most OTP’s could only dream of. They got engaged twice and they had the most beautiful wedding. 

How many people can say that their favorite character got a song exploring the journey their character has been through and then a song that your OTP is singing together at their wedding about “happy beginnings”? We’ve gotten everything we’ve ever asked for. 

So no matter what happens, this story is ours. We’ll always have Emma Swan, we’ll always have Captain Swan and we’ll always have OUAT. It’ll live on with fic and art and in the ways we treat ourselves and our lives. 

No matter what, Emma Swan got her happy ending. She got her true love. We can all get those things too. And that’s what this show taught us. So let’s try to be happy for the last week. Because it’s not an ending, it’s a beginning.
