Fairy Tail does certainly sexualize the women a lot, I won't argue about the excessive fanservice, but to be fair to Hiro Mashima, he does it to the men too.
Gray Fullbuster aside, Natsu's abs are out 24/7, most of the men lose their shirt on purpose or on accident frequently in nearly every episode, and even if they are wearing enough cloth to cover up, their abs and other muscles are drawn through their shirts anyway. I'm not going into detail on Ichiya and his lack of propriety, but consider him as well.
I bet that if someone were to compare the number of times Lucy loses her clothes with the number of times Gray whips his dick out in public, the numbers would be pretty close.
Feel whatever you want about the show - I just feel like I only hear of the fanservice in Fairy Tail in relation to the women. There's a surplus of scantily-clad muscle men in Fairy Tail as well who rip off their shirts as often as possible.
