And this time, it's with writing.

I've enjoyed sinking my teeth into this new project while I've been unemployed - unemployment that will thankfully end come September - but I've been itching to share it with someone. I don't have many people in my life who enjoy screenplays (to my knowledge) and the format/software makes it difficult to share WIPs with the one friend I have who *would* read this. So, here I am.

hello queer muslim women of tumblr!!

I've begun a new project, and one of the characters is a queer Muslim woman in her 20s trying to restart her life in London.

As a very white and non-religious queer, I am in no way qualified to do this character's story justice on my own, so I'm asking for help!

I'm looking for queer Muslim cis women/trans women/fem-leaning nb/gq folks who'd like to share their stories, have any notes about how to approach writing a character from this background, or even those who don't think I should be the person writing this story at all!

The character is one of four that the plot focuses on, all of whom are from different backgrounds, sexualities, genders, and classes. I'll likely put callouts for the other characters as well, as I really want to do them justice ⁽ᵃⁿᵈ ᴵ ᵗʰᶦⁿᵏ ᶦ ʰᵃᵛᵉ ˢᵒᵐᵉᵗʰᶦⁿᵍ ᵍᵒᵒᵈ ᵍᵒᶦⁿᵍ ʰᵉʳᵉ ʷᶦᵗʰ ᵗʰᶦˢ ᵖʳᵒʲᵉᶜᵗ⁻⁾.

TADC Episode 7: Beach Episode

Had this in my head when I first watched the episode, but oh boy this has taken a while...

...just for Tumblr to force me to compress this 28mb image (ouch, yes, I know) into a pixel-y mess. If anyone knows the best way to upload this at full quality, please let me know! Procreate wasn't happy making this, either.

Met a lovely lady today as I was working on this while getting a coffee. Was trying to awkwardly avoid saying I was just drawing fanart (as I usually do) only for her to see it and go 'oh tadc! :D my daughter and I love it!' What an Icon! Turns out they're HH/HB fans too. Love that.

TADC Episode 3: The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor

I won't claim to be the first person to think of this - no doubt, other folks had the same idea when Episode 3 first came out, that the story of Baron Mildenhall echoed Kinger's own. However, I'm new here, so bare with. :)

Ooh this was fun to make. I've not made full page comic pieces for a few years, but I forgot the delight in putting a story together in such an easy yet effective way.

I don't think I executed (ha ha) the motion blur very well but it was entertaining to try nonetheless.

Regardless, I think I'm getting better at changing up the expressions and mixing my references without losing the art style. Go me.
