Just in case no one has told you yet today/tonight:
You are loved, cherished, adored, wanted, needed, valued, and so much more. You make someone’s day by being here on this planet. You are capable of doing whatever you set your mind to and heart on.
Never forget that. You are worth something.
Life may be rough right now but one day things will fall into place and you will find your way.
If a person wants to be a part of your life, they will make an obvious effort to do so. Think twice before reserving a space in your heart for people who do not make an effort to stay.

A Mantra For Perfectionists
I am not my GPA.
I am not my weight.
I am not my physical fitness level.
I am not my relationship status.
I am not the opinions of others.
My value is not determined by anything. My worth can not be taken away or earned. I am a human being not a human doing. There is nothing for me to prove to myself, or anyone else.
Everyone’s ultimate life goal is to be happy. But everyone’s definition of happy is different. Some people think having money, or being in love is happy. Other people think being happy is enjoying the little things in life or finally finding a place to live. Don’t you see everyone’s definition of happy is based on their life, therefore it defines them as a person. Are they depressed? Always happy? Have they had a good life? Do they have a heartbreaking life story? What is your definition of happy?

Women are conditioned since we are young that our final stage of fulfillment comes from finding love. We could be 25, successful and self-made, but at the end of the day people won’t see us as someone who made it so far in just 25 years, but how someone lived 25 years without finding a man. To every single woman out there who is working hard and grinding to achieve their goals- your success is valid. You as a woman are valid. And I pray there is only more and more success written for you in everything you pursue.
Sometimes you fall off the wagon for months. Sometimes you tell yourself you’re gonna start fresh on Monday and by Wednesday you’ve already fallen back off. Sometimes you have to restart a 100 times and it’s frustrating. But it will be okay. You can do this. One day at a time
OK, so that sounds terribly mercenary. The truth is that there is nothing bad and everything good about thank-you notes, so you should send them all the time. Someone takes you out to dinner? Thank-you note. Takes the time to interview you for a job? Thank-you note. Present? You know that’s a...
What you do today, or fail to do today, you’ll live with for the rest of your life. The way you live today can create new burdens, or it can create new treasures. The future may seem like it’s a long way off. Yet it is relentlessly heading your way, and what you do today will have an enormous impact on the quality of that future. Today, right now, in this moment, in this place, you have an opportunity. It’s an opportunity with great leverage over your entire life.
Today is your opportunity to choose how you will live. Today is your opportunity to give time, attention, effort and substance to those things you truly value. If you merely wish to have a great life someday, your wishes alone simply won’t be enough. Yet today you are able to act on those wishes, those goals, those desires, and to really, truly put yourself on the path to their fulfillment. What you do today is absolutely crucial. What you can do today, right now, is get to work.

I'd like to give up my 22nd birthday to a cause that means much more than the year after 21. I feel as though people believe that birthdays between 21-30 aren't that big of a deal, when in fact I KNOW they can be. This year I don't need much. I am blessed with abundant "things" in my life and would like families to have one of life's simplest treasures- secure water. Help me raise 5,000 dollars which will provide 50 families with water for a year!

As leaders, we often move from one year to the next with little or no time spent reviewing the year just past from a purely leadership perspective. To help counter that, here’s my five-point year-end leadership checklist:
Love this especially as I approach a new year!
I am personally convinced that one person can be a change catalyst, a transformer in any situation, any organization. It requires vision, initiative, patience, respect, persistence, courage, and faith to be a transforming leader.

Motivating the Middle: Different Things Motivate Different Thirds
One of the best books I came across in college. Thank you TJ Sullivan I often forgot about the middle and focused on those who I would never win over but were such a small percent.
I have been thinking a lot about how I became the person I am today. In just the last 6 years of my life I feel I have made some important choices, have had some amazing opportunities, and have met some amazing people. The organizations I have been apart of have become apart of me and molded me into the person/leader I am today.
To begin- I was a student council nerd. I thought student council was life. Spent my junior year as student body president and decided it was time to take on more. My senior year I became one of three state presidents to preside over Arizona student councils. These members became my family. Student Council brought me so many opportunities and taught me some incredible lessons along the way.
Leadership Scholarship Program- I had many offers to go out of state and escape Arizona- who knew that this program would keep me here and help me fall in love with the University. Within the first few weeks of College this cohort of determined, passionate, like minded leaders became my family and over the past four years they have done some incredible things. I am honored to stand beside these men and women today because I know that they will amount to great things in their lives.
Becoming a member of Alpha Gamma Delta International Fraternity is what kept me at ASU. I fell in love with the purpose and was determined to help make greeklife something people strove to become apart of rather then stereotype. During my time in the chapter I have faced many challenges but have some to find a home with these women. These women are my sisters, my sounding board, my cheerleaders, my strength, my safety.
In the summer of 2010 I was given the opportunity to attend a life changing conference in Indiana. UIFI where I met greek men and women from around the country that belong to different fraternal organizations. I still keep in touch with these members and have come to value their wisdom and love in my life.
