alice looked at him, eating the candy she chose. she chuckled of what he spoke about his kids. after swallow the candies, alice turns her face to her friend, despite of the fact her costume have a helmet, she was wearing make up, simple, but with black eyeliner & silver & black eyeshadows making her grey bluish eyes even more mesmerizing. ❛ Not much.❜ she beamed when he mentioned her daughter.
❛ At the moment she is with the nanny. But she had a lot of fun. ❜ alice turns to her friend, after took a certain quantity of candies to her little monster. ❛ How sweet of you! Thanks, I appreciate that. Did you go to the last parents meeting? I kinda, missed it.❜ alice hates go to these parents meetings, she either missed due to work or always too late, getting the end of the lecture of the teacher.
Erik made a mental note to take the extra candy to Alice’s during school hours so the kids wouldn’t catch on before replying. “That’s good to hear. We were all standing at the corner where the parade began and it was fine, for a while.” He trailed off, the memory of one of the floats coming to mind being enough to make him look concerned. “One of the floats was that ghost town a half hour away. It actually even scared me a bit. Elissa didn’t say a word after they went by. I think it legitimately terrified her. A woman made up to look like a banshee screamed right in her face and I- I just stood there and let it happen.”
Without meaning to, Erik had made to run a hand through his hair. It was something he tended to do whenever he was upset, but this time, his hand hit the wig, causing it to go askew. “I talked with her on the walk home because I felt so bad for allowing her to be exposed to that, and she hasn’t had any nightmares that I know of, but that hasn’t stopped me from feeling like I should have done more. Some scares are fine, but that ghost town one just went too far, so I ended up skipping the last meeting. I felt I should stay home with her, you know?”
