kihachoi:
kiha nods a little, smile turning awkward. at least he wasn’t defensive, he thinks - he’d gotten defensive once or twice before, when people had questioned him about his reasons for being at the park. his daughter didn’t look much like him - her bio dad had been korean, but her mom was black - so sometimes he got the side eye.
“fair enough - i get glared at by ‘em enough not to bother. i mean, they’re probably lovely ladies so maybe you’re missin’ out. but uh, thanks. dad solidarity, or whatever.”
He chuckled and shook his head, “My daughter had a play date with the daughter of the one in the middle awhile back and she yelled at me because I hadn’t made my daughter gluten free something because gluten is baaad and i’m ruining my daughters body because i’m poising her with that crap.” He held up his hands as he emphasized the word bad. “So as lovely as they look they are scary.”
