Apologies for our lack of posting over the past week, we are currently in Jackson hole for the wildlife film festival. Theo worked for a company called @brainfarm on their first wildlife film #wildyellowstone. I'm delighted to say that it has been nominated for an award in #cinematography and #editing. Some droning of the gorgeous archipelago of islets in Clew bay Co. Mayo. Sarah has become a very competent areal cinematographer and pilot of the Phantom2Vision. In Ireland the weather is mainly overcast of raining. If you are patient you generally get gaps in the clouds most days and its those moments of sunlight through the humid atmosphere that can give the amazing colour and sunsets that you can get in this country.
After a rainy day in Galway we headed home for Dublin for the weekend when disaster struck.. The fuel pump gave out leaving us stranded in the rain. A rental car, a weekend and a new fuel pump later we were on the train back to collect the car and continue the adventure north towards mayo.
Co Clare and the cliffs of Moher. Had a great two days exploring the karst landscape of the Burren and had one of the best evenings of the trip out at the tallest sea cliffs in Europe, the Cliffs of Moher which are a must for any Irish road trip bucket list!
With some car trouble we made it to Killarney national park. It was an amazing drive through highest mountain range in the county into one of the most well know national parks.
The ring of Kerry and the Skelligs were a great part of the trip. Unfortunately the battery for the GH4 was left on the mainland for the trip out to skellig Michael but we had to make do with our phones. Skellig michael was founded between the 6th and 8th centuries and is a very impressive feat of human engineering and determination. The little skellig is home to an estimated 20 thousand breeding pairs each summer.
The South west coast of Ireland is both rugged and beautiful. We had some amazing opportunities droning the rings of kerry and Beara and visiting Sarahs house in waterville where she spent many summers of her childhood with her family.

The Rock of Cashel was the traditional seat of the kings of Munster for several hundred years prior to the Norman invasion. In 1101, the King of Munster, Muirchertach Ua Briain, donated his fortress on the Rock to the Church.
