Hello my birdies. I'm finally making a blog navigation post! Here are tags that I will use going forward that you can use or block as you see fit:

"#songbird sings" will be my text post tag for original text posts

"#caged birds don't sing" will be for me complaining about things, mainly my work situation. I know it can be annoying to see that stuff always on your dash, so please don't worry about blocking it! I do use my posts as a way to keep a tally of things that happen in a convenient place.

"#satisfaction brought him back" will be my tag for pictures of my cat/s, along with their names (Tadley, Macchiato, Poe, Millie, and many more) (Tadley is my resident, the rest are typically fosters)

"#it takes faith to fly" will be for any religion related posts. I usually also tag with #christianity but sometimes I don't want to maintag things!

"#chickenscratch" will be my art tag

Once, in the middle of August, I led a tour for a bus full of senior citizens. We had outdoor bathrooms that had AC turned on for only operational hours. I lead the tour, the guests leave, all seems well. I am the only employee that day, I feed the wolves and get their medications all fixed up, 4:45 pm rolls around and I do my nightly lock check. I finish at the enclosures and walk to turn off the bathrooms.

That's when I spot it. Brown spots up the sidewalk, baking in the South Texas August heat since 1 pm. Horrified I open the trailer bathroom door. Human feces, everywhere. In the toilet, on the floor, on the walls, on the hand rails, in the sink, on the mirror. I am actively gagging. I'm supposed to clock out in 5 minutes.

I hated senior busses.

You know, I am kind of tired of people responding "But God/Jesus is always with you!" When I mention how lonely or alone I feel.

It's true. I know this. It's not a lack of faith. He is with me and that is a comfort.

However I don't think that God wanted that to be a replacement for human relationship.

Anyway, I've been so lonely for so long that I genuinely can't remember the last time someone showed up on time to meet up with me. Can't remember the last time a hangout or meetup didn't get pushed back or canceled on me. Unless I'm spending money on someone, not even my own family shows up.

And I know everyone has reasons, and they're usually justified, but I'm so lonely. I wish I was a justified reason for doing anything. I wish I meant anything to the people around me without earning my keep.

I promise I'll be a good lamb, the quietest lamb. Just please love me.
