Translanguage tip from my linguistic nerd ass and my trace headmate who has been transitioning actively for a while now:
Start referring to your regular activities and regularly used/consumed objects by their name in your language instead of the one you currently speak
You're scrolling on social media but you're Estonian? That's "kerimine"!
You're eating cookies but you're Russian? Call it "pechen'ye"! (печенье)
Homework but you're Japanese? It's called "shukudai" (宿題) in your language!
Morning stretches, light exercises, but you're Korean? You can call it "achim undong" instead! (아침 운동)
Doodling random things because you don't know what to draw but you're Italian? I think you meant "scarabocchiare"!
Cereal for breakfast, but you're Turkish? Oh so "gevrek"?
My headmate says this really helps him feel like himself even if just for a tiny moment! And since you do this with activities you enjoy and/or do regularly, the nice moment repeats regularly with it :)
