Not to be a downer but if i had to, at 12 years old, listen to my mother tell me all the different ways men would want to hurt my body, and how i might prevent that, then i really feel like teenage boys can handle a conversation with their parents that starts “let’s talk about consent”
“Witchcraft comes so naturally; it is in the way I feel the sun on my skin and the grass under my feet, the way the stars look and how the wind whispers to me.”

Everything about auras- a masterpost
I first realized I saw auras, I actually questioned it, once my great grandma (amazing witch, awful person) asked me, at 12 years old, if I could see “colors over people’s heads”. I had never asked myself why, but I actually did. For all my life I’ve been seeing auras and it was the first time someone put it into words. She didn’t say much after that, but I was curious, of course. It wasn’t till 4 years ago, when I began my practice, that I started to “use” my “powers”. I never knew why it was that I could read people, why I knew everything about their lives without them telling me. It was always because I’m able to see their auras.
My first time reading an aura
The first time I actually made an effort to READ an aura, not just see it, was a couple months ago, through a witchy Discord server. A girl asked if someone could see her aura and I simply tried to. I remember telling her that she was very depressed, and that something had just happened which left her hopeless. I gave more insight, and I honestly felt very depressed in that moment and energetically drained, I had to pause for a bit. She told me everything I had said was simply spot on, which left me very happy. This way I also discovered that, hey, I can see auras through a picture!
How are auras? How can I see them?
Auras, for me, sometimes look like an aurora borealis over the person’s head, sometimes it looks like a crown, or a flower crown. They can be multiple colors at a time or simply one, there are different shades too. Don’t believe it if someone tells you “my aura is x color”, that’s not a right statement, the right statement would be “my aura is x color at the moment”, auras can vary color throughout your whole life, and it depends on your mood and the overall vibes that you give, what you feel inside. Seeing auras for me it’s just looking at the person’s head. But you can do it by looking at someone, closing your eyes and leaving your mind blank, then just focus on the person at matter. Colors will appear for sure, amongst other information that will be useful if you’re doing a reading.
Aura readings, clairsentience, and being an empath
I’ve never heard anyone talk about this, but I feel it’s very important. I’d dare compare aura readings to spirit work; it can be VERY draining and it can leave you moody or even feeling depressed.
The first time I experienced clarisentience while doing an aura reading I was reading someone who wasn’t very well mentally. When getting that information I felt my chest just hurt and i felt like i wanted to cry. Another time, I felt a terrible cigarette taste in my mouth, I don’t smoke and that was terrible to go through, I felt it all on my teeth and my tongue, I really had to concentrate to make it go away. It usually happens with coffee, when the person is a regular coffee drinker, and sometimes I also hear music while doing them.
Colors
Well this is a very tough subject, because I don’t think correspondences are the same for everyone, yes they can be similar stuff, but it’ll never be exactly what someone says, so take this list with a grain of salt and as always do your research and experiment for yourself, that way you’ll be able to put a personal meaning to the colors.
🌸Red: Passion, love, love for what you do, sex
🌸Orange: New beginnings, starting over, seeing someone
🌸Yellow: Happiness, love, friendship, falling in love, good vibes
🌸Green: Healing, dark past, getting better
🌸Blue: Being sad but knowing things are gonna be okay, responsibilities, neutral
🌸Purple: Spirituality, creativeness, dreams
🌸Pink: Lovely attitude towards life, non romantic love
🌸White: Purity, kind soul, lies
🌸Black: Darkness in the soul, sadness
I hope this information was somehow useful, please don’t repost and if you wanna help spread this please reblog!💗

To Stop a Storm
This is the flip-side to the storm spell I posted not long ago. You’ll need your trusty broom again. Hold the broom aloft, bristle up. Make long, sweeping motions in the air. “As the wind did bring ye here, so the wind shall push ye there, away from me, dark cloud up high. Wind does bring your ending nigh.” Hold the broom eye level, horizontally. “As the rain fell with fervent force, from that strength it be divorced. Halt the fall like pine’s dark pitch. Hole in the sky, now be stitched.” Set the broom on the ground in front of you. “As the lightning threw itself from high, it runs itself back in the sky. And in the welkin, it’ll bide until a crack in Heav’n splits wide.”
TAROT tips for Beginners 🌙
⭐︎ Cleanse your deck after you buy it!! This is so so important, because you want to start working with a new clean energy.
⭐︎ There are thousands of ways to cleanse your deck. Cleansing can be something super simple, as just knocking on your deck 3 times or placing a crystal on top of the deck! Just do what feels right.
⭐︎ Interview your deck! After you buy new cards, talk to them, ask them questions and figure out the decks personality. There are a lot of fun spreads for this.
⭐︎ Sleep with your deck. Another good way to bond with your deck is sleeping with it near you. Just put it under your pillow or somewhere close to you over night!
⭐︎ You don’t have to read reversals. It’s up to you if you decide to turn the card back around. Again, do what feels right!
⭐︎ Reversals don’t always equal opposites. If you decide to read reversals, remember that it can have completely different meaning then just being opposite of the upright position.
⭐︎ Start simple. Start out with something simple like past/present/future spread. It’s super easy and gives you clarity on any situation.
⭐︎ Spend time looking at the picture. When you pull a card, really spend time observing at all the different colors and symbols before you look up the meaning.
⭐︎ Jumping cards usually have something important to tell you. If you’re shuffling your deck and a card jumps out, look up what it means and what message it has for you!
⭐︎ Pull a daily card each morning. This is super fun and easy. You definitely don’t need to do this everyday, but it’s a good way to memorize the cards and their meanings.
and finally, practice, practice and practice! It’s going to take a while until you remember all the meanings, but just have fun and enjoy the process!🦋
