Earlier I needed some peace of mind. My whole family was asleep but I was super restless. So at ~12:30am I snuck out, sat down in one of our recliner garden chairs and spent around 2 hours just stargazing until just now ~2:35am.
It's a super clear night and I could see hundreds of stars and far in the distance I could see the flickering of lightning bolts. In those two hours I saw about 12 shooting stars and also 3 satellites. And there was a cute little bat circling above me a lot of the time.
There is little I love more than stargazing. You do it at night and at night no one expects anything of you, you can just be. There's hardly any other time when you're allowed to just be. It really helps me clear my mind and put everything into perspective. Our universe is so big and so beautiful, just imagine what kind of fantastic things are out there that we don't even know about.
I also cried a little, over nothing in particular, sometimes life is hard and crying helps you let out a bit of the pain and everything you hold inside, it's therapeutic.
Most of the time I had one ear bud in and listened to calm Hozier & Yungblud songs, what honestly really made the whole experience better.
I don't really know what I'm trying to say, I guess try taking some time for yourself to look at the stars, clear your mind and just be.
I took this picture with my phone. Just look how many stars you can see on there and then imagine how many I could see with my bare eyes
