Welcome back from vacation, I presume?
You have presumed right. And thanks, I guess. It was a much needed break from all of...this.

I’m about to take a leave myself. Sometimes this city is just too much.
It's always been a bit much for me, but it comes and goes in waves.

But I'm not much of one for being idle and not doing anything. Still can't say that I missed my job, though.

And your smile is exactly what you say you want to embody: charming. ((He said with a wink.))
I do have quite the busy day, reason I was walking through this park and singing. It helps me relax and take my mind off of work. Though, since I enjoy being honest, you are a far better distraction and relaxation from work. Refreshing to know someone this lovely can have such a humorous side to her.
Look at you with your endless compliments. I'm sure there are plenty of girls that fall for them. [ she takes a sip from her coffee, masking a smile ] I would like to think I'm a better distraction than some trees and benches.

He gave her a small smile before he followed her towards the crosswalk. “Thanks.” He noticed how she was looking at him, but he didn’t want to say anything. He swallowed, trying to look normal in front her. “It’s getting pretty cold, isn’t it? The holidays are almost here.” He mentally cursed himself for talking about the weather. He wasn’t usually this boring.
Shifting her bag on her shoulder, she looked over at him and offered a small smile. It seemed to take a lot of effort for him to even muster that question and while most times she would have insulted anyone that brought up the weather as a topic starter, she merely nodded at him. "Yeah, it is. Are you a holiday man? I enjoy them... Or rather, I like everything that happens the day after Thanksgiving."

If you have your own talk so, I would gladly do as you suggested. I have no problem talking to the press. Especially hosts as lovely as yourself. ((He said, winking at her.)) My day? I was going back to The Abbey to finish up some work on my lines. Highlighting the ones I need to know, especially the ends of lines from characters right before mine.
[ another small laugh escaped her and she nodded ] Well, I'd hope you'd have no problem talking to me. I'd do my very best to be the embodiment of charming. [ she nodded ] Sounds like you have quite the busy day ahead of you.

He cleared his throat. He wasn’t sure why he was nervous, but he was. “Um, yeah, I’m… lost.” His fingers shook a bit, which was somewhat unnerving. He rubbed the nape of his neck. “Do you know where the nearest coffee shop is?”
She watched him curiously, not believing that he was just lost. Sophia was never one to involve herself in the business and matters of someone's life, but at this moment, she was more concerned for him. She nodded her head towards the crosswalk. "I can take you, if you'd like." Her eyes searched his face for a moment, but she stayed silent, not wanting to push her questions on him.

It was a quiet night in New York City. The street lights glowed, making it somewhat visible for pedestrians to navigate the streets. The was a slight breeze, causing Clark to pull his leather jacket closer. He kept his head down. He had been doing this for four days now. The bruises on his neck were starting to heal, but it didn’t stop Clark from shying away from the people around him. He swallowed as he kept walking. He didn’t know where he was going, but he knew he’d probably end up getting lost even if he did know. When he reached the end of an unfamiliar street, he knew it was time to ask someone for direction. He swallowed when he heard someone’s footsteps behind him. Without meeting the stranger’s eyes, Clark turned around and asked, “Excuse me?”
Sophia had been on her way home from a long day at work and she hadn't been in much of a mood to talk to anyone. Perhaps it was just one of her moods or the fact that even despite her usual antics at work, it hadn't stopped her day from being relatively stressful. Which was why the sound of someone's voice directed towards her had started to put her on edge. However, when her eyes fell on the man's face, she saw quickly that right now was not a time for her to focus herself on her problems that seemed so petty at the moment. Blinking a few times in confusion, she stepped a bit closer before finally stopping. "I'm sorry... Are you alright? You look lost." Among other things, she thought to herself.

"A regular," he repeated with a grin. It hadn’t taken him long to get to know all the regular visitors to the Bull & Bear Bar. Everyone who walked into the bar seemed like they wanted to tell him their whole life story. He marveled at how much people are willing to share with a stranger. Damon barely ever had to use his powers to gain anything from these people.
"Damon," he said to the woman, stretching his hand out to initiate a handshake.
Returning his handshake, she smiled and nodded her head. "Damon? Alright, I can remember that. A name like that would suggest that a guy's got a nice mysterious side to him." Tapping her fingers on her glass, she laughed lightly and looked up at him. "On appearances alone, I would say that you probably don't disappoint in that area." The bar had never really been one of her go-to spots, but she had always figured it would be worth a go. And from the looks of it, she should have come in sooner.
Looking around a bit, she took note of the people around her before turning her attention back to the man before her. "Is it usually this busy here?"

((Taking his phone back gently and nodding in respect to her opinion, he smiled warmly.)) And, of course, I respect that. That is a rare opinion and outlook on social interaction. I appreciate it.
Looks like I'm giving out a lot of advice. Maybe I need to get my own talk show and have you as a guest on it. [ she laughs lightly and puts her hands in her jacket pockets ] So, where are you planning on spending the rest of your day?
I don't want to set the world on fire... // Sophia & Ivan
Wonderful. I was worried for a moment that you would get upset since people have done so in the past despite how kind I am to them. ((He said with a chuckle, pulling out his phone and unlocking it before handing over the phone to her.)) Instead of saying it outloud and so you can keep your privacy, it’s best to just do it this way. ((Ivan suggested, not wanting people to copy down her number or anything. It was better safe than sorry.))
I tend to not get upset over the same things as most people. Some people just have their own issues, I suppose. Even though, that's not my way of saying I don't have any or anything. [ taking his phone, she quickly tapped out the numbers before handing it back to him ]

Damon laughed. “I know of her.” He had gotten to know most of the call girls that frequented the Bull & Bear. “She’s a regular.” He smiled at Sophia.
"Ah, a regular. That would explain it, then." Her voice held a teasing tone as she looked from him to the woman before. It was obvious what the woman's career was, but Sophia wasn't one for judging people based on their profession. Unless they were one of the many idiots that she had to deal with on a regular basis at work. Looking back to him, she offered another smile. "The name's Sophia, by the way."

Yes, accomplishing the feat of introducing a man to a new quality he really should possess. It’s something worth a celebration. ((He said, chuckling a bit while smiling warmly to Sophia.)) Would you mind if I asked you for your number? You have my word when I say I will call because I always do. If I’m overstepping any boundaries, do let me know. I respect them and will back away if bringing harm to someone’s personal space.
[ being a bit surprised by his question, she raised an eyebrow and watched him for a moment, before nodding her head ] No of course, that's alright with me, no personal boundaries being crossed or whatnot. Besides, it's refreshing that you came right out with it instead of beating around the bush or going to someone else for it. [ she brought cup of coffee to her lips and took a brief sip before looking at him once more ] Ready?
I don't want to set the world on fire... // Sophia & Ivan
I guess that’s a quality I should learn to take up. ((Ivan smiled at her, chuckling at her comment.)) You did put an impression on me, Sophia. And that is a very lovely name. It suits you.
[ she laughed lightly and shrugged ] Well then, I guess I can say I accomplished something today. So bravo to me.
Tending || Damon; Sophia
Damon shrugged as he finished up her martini. It was placed in front of her before he spoke again. “No need to apologize. Tough times all around.” He didn’t mind a bit of sass. In fact, he preferred it. It made things more interesting.
Watching him closely, Sophia allowed a small smile to form and she nodded at him. Tapping her fingers on the glass, she looked around the bar and then back to the man in front of her. "You know her?" She nodded her head towards the woman that he had been staring at not so long ago.

He hadn’t been at work for long, and even if he had he would not have been so tired as to have gone home, it’s not like he was the most hardworking there, despite his high position. Either way, it wasn’t often that he went right home anyways, if something exciting didn’t happen, which was why he had taken himself to the closest bar, ordered a glass of whiskey, and only after his second drink did he pause to take a look around and survey the crowd.
Sophia had been ready to drop to her knees from exhaustion, not like she did much at work, but maybe it was more of a mental tired than anything. Deciding to take a stop by a small bar before she made her return back to the comfort of her home, she chewed on her thumb when she went through the entrance. Making her way past a small crowd of people, she found her way to the bar and rested her elbows against it. "I'll have a scotch, please." Her eyes traveled to the man beside her, but she kept silent, looking away once a drink had been placed in front of her.
