Why I hate school

Okay so I was angrily texting my friend about this so now I’m gonna make a post.

School? A place to gather knowledge? Great idea.

Horrible execution.

You CANNOT fail. Failures are something you learn from, but in school, they will haunt you for the rest of your life, they are a horrible horrible thing, and you CANNOT make a mistake.

Reading used to be super fun for me. Now I associate it with panic and dread at having to write out my observations of it. Why would you make me associate fun things with bad things?

It takes. Way too long. Our brains naturally want to learn. They also naturally want to interact with other people and play games together. We need breaks.

Like. How horribly of a job have you had to have done to make me HATE learning. Can we fix this? Please? Everyone makes mistakes and we should be ALLOWED to make them sometimes. I want to be able to read without thinking ‘I wonder how long this will take.’ I would love to live in a world where school was something I enjoyed.
