I discovered that birds started nesting in a cavity high in my wall.

There seem to be three babies and they are already quite big!

They seem to be some kind of bird of prey but I hoped that somebody on here could help me identify them (I live in western Europe). @todaysbird (I hope it's ok to tag you)

(I took these pictures with a zoom, I didn't shove the camera in their faces.)

I am now pretty sure they are common kestrels (Falco tinnunculus).

I was very lucky to see them in their nest. I could take a few other pictures the following days and then they were gone...

Yashiro is having some complicated feelings this chapter.

Thank you to everyone who sent congratulations and said nice things! ^^ I'm extremely short on time these days so I can't respond (having a baby is hard, it turns out!) but they always bring a smile to my face <3

As I just mentioned, I don't have much time unfortunately so I can't write much about my thoughts on this chapter, but for me the most interesting part was Yashiro's conversation with Amou. I also love how Kamiya just wants to help but also can't bring himself to stop being an asshole about it lol

Sensei's name isn't in the list of contributors for the next issue so I think it's safe to say this chapter closes volume 10 which means we'll now be on hiatus for a while. I think chapters will likely start up again around spring of next year? Hopefully? But in the meantime we can look forward to the official release of volume 10 as well as the drama cd ^^.

I will say the quiet part out loud: Yashiro is going to find out where Kai is from Doumeki and try to do things on his own. Because we have a Volume 11 coming and I don’t think this is going to be a speedrun to the end. This is the happy place we’ve been left in. We’re in so much trouble. 😳

ilya telling shane about irina and how they were best friends and he hung out with her all the time and he was her protector and he would skip school on her bad days to brush her hair and make sure she ate something even if it was just tea and she was an angel and you know shane is calculating how best to gently bring up to his husband that that doesn’t sound like it was very fair to child ilya without ilya reacting like a wild fucking animal

ilya comes back from therapy with galina like three months after this fight (of course it was a fight) and with the same candor as ashley padilla in then mom confession sketch goes i’m only going to say this once and i’m only going to say it if after i do you promise you will not react no talking no faces no nothing and shane’s on the couch reading like uh. what’s going on? and ilya goes what i have to tell you. Is that I think I was treated unfairly. By my mom. and of course shane makes a face and ilya is reacting like a wild fucking animal

No one can piss someone off the way Yashiro can. Kamiya…. What a good son you have become. I hope we learn your birthday one day.

I never thought we’d get the moment Yashiro made up his mind. But here it is.

I'll leave this here, and speculate later on what dumb thing Yashiro is going to do next to worry us, because we still have an entire volume to go (I hope!). For now, I think I'll just enjoy the Summer.

those were the days... Picture the scene: Monty Python's Flying Circus ran from 1969 to 1974. Nothing, I mean nothing, had been seen like this before on TV. To really appreciate their courage and brilliance you need to know something about these days when gay marriage was not even on the horizon and most people would lose their employment if they were outed at work. The first Pride Parade was in 1970 and it was only in 1973 that the American Psychiatric Association in their generosity declared that homosexuality was not a mental disorder. Being LGBTQ+ was gradually decriminalized in various parts of the UK and a bit later in the US starting slowly in the late '60's.

Meanwhile, Monty Python was winning over hearts and minds through the funny bone. Groundbreaking.

I think Graham Chapman, the 4th man to join the scene, being gay and being a member of Monty Python is worth noting. He had a partner, David Sherlock, and was publicly open with his homosexuality as early as 1972. I just think it makes a difference in how Monty Python treated queerness in sketches when one of their members, their good friends and collaborators, is himself gay.
