Angela gives a soft chuckle at his statement and nods in agreement. The joyful gesture doesn't last long, however. "If you're referring to our own world, I don't have a solid answer. Some familiar faces have arrived here as well, though most of them only have ties to me." She then rests her chin atop her hand, reflecting on the encounters she's had with Ayin and Carmen.
How would he react if he found out they were here? How would an encounter between one or both go? She decides not to mull on the possibility any further.
A resigned sigh escapes Angela now, her hand falling back to her side. "Though this situation is far from ideal, I've been doing what I can to learn more about the workings of this realm and all it has to offer. Perhaps it will benefit us in the long run when we can resume our plans to overturn the Head."
"Is that so? Wonder if there's a connection there." He's pondering those words. Only ties to Angela, huh? But not anyone he knows? Then he's assuming more in the ballpark of those deep in her past, like her creators. He has to admit he's a little bit curious about that, but now's not the time.
He also knows her creators--or at least, one in particular--are a very sore spot for her. Best not to pry unless she brings it up.
"There's not really much else to do here besides gather information. Seems to cause more questions than answers though, don't you think?" His hands go to his pockets. "I have a hard time believing there's really no connection to the City here, but everyone I've talked to has such varied and detailed stories, I'm inclined to take their words that they're from other places. Talk about going from the frying pan and into the fire..."
