“ King Shark…..”
That was much easier to say! And it was cool sounding too! At seeing the fin-like hand outstretched, Grundy reached out with his own. His hands very easily dwarfed Shark’s with how massive they were.
Huge, pale hands with dark claw-like nails, with faint echoes of webbing between his fingers….
A sign that maybe this zombie wasn’t as big of a landlubber as he seemed to be on the surface….
“ King Sharky friends now.”
He shook Shark’s hand, before hugging the big squishy fish man.
It was odd, seeing how much smaller his hand was compared to his new friend’s. He wondered if this was how everyone else felt when shaking his. Often times, his entire palm would engulf half their forearm. It was interesting to be on the other side.
“Right, friends,” he said before suddenly being pulled into a hug. Again, another odd sensation but he didn’t make a fuss. He’d seen humans hug before and had even had Cleo hug him a few times. Mimicking what he’d seen he gave Grundy a few pats on the back.
“Live here, you?” He asked, wondering if he had some place he was staying.
Bonus:
captainboomer:
BOOMER SIGHED and opened another can of beer chugging the liquid with obvious delight. He was still a bit out of breath since they were running away from the bloodsuckers, he had to support his back onto the brick wall looking over his shoulder in case someone was stalking them.
❝ These things were not humans, mate. No sunburn can ever cause that,❞ Digger shook his head flinching at the thought one of these almost had clawed his eyes out but the boomerangs always came in handy when you had to chop someone’s fingers off. Even when they had miraculously grown back it still gave him time to flee. ❝ I’m surprised ye didn’t try and put them between those big ass jaws … In fact it could have helped. ❞ Seriously, what were the odds to come across vampires in the deserted house they had broke in while he and the big shark man were looking for something to eat?
He watched as Boomer downed the can in a matter of seconds an wondered how he could stomach the stuff. Out of curiosity he’d tried the same kind and found it lacking in any noticeable flavor and only made him crave water or something to make up for the lack of taste. Looking over his shoulder his nostrils flared as if picking up a scent like a blood hound. Blood was in the air mixed with the same rotting stench that covered the creatures.
“Taste bad,” he looked back to his friend. Of course he had taken a bit out of one but like a child trying a new vegetable he was quick to cough it back up. He much rather have the canned liquid Boomer was so fond of. At least the aftertaste didn’t linger too long. “I rip apart,” he held up his hands before hearing more sounds. Surely there couldn’t be more. “They come. I protect,” he gave the human a rough pat on the shoulder. At least he couldn’t easily be bitten nor did they seem interested in the fishy flavor he had to offer.
@pmlislyy said: “Of all people to be stranded with, it just had to be you.”
Had he more pliable facial features, his face would’ve had confusion scrawled across in an almost comical manner. He had no qualms with the woman and couldn’t imagine what he might’ve done to upset her in such a way. He sighed heavily, gills fluttering as he looked away for a moment before looking back at the redhead, curiosity getting the best of him.
“Why mad?” He asked, shifting to face her. There were worse villains she could’ve been paired with and at least he wouldn’t try harming her in any way. Well, no. That was a lie. If it came down to it he may try eating her but he didn’t think it’d come down to it.
@psykicks said: ❝ People say you should always do the right thing, but sometimes there is no right thing. And then, you just have to pick the sin you can live with. ❞ -From Doc Ock
The right thing. The right thing was all based on perspective and personal opinions. Where one person may think killing a murder was justified there would be others that believed it was a sin and they were no better than the killer. It made a difficult life more cumbersome and confusing and reminded him that perhaps spending so much time alone wasn't necessarily a bad thing. But he understood what the man was getting at and curiosity got the best of him.
"What sin you?" he inquired, curious as to what he might've claimed at his own. Nanaue figured his must be gluttony as he wasn't very envious of others anymore nor did he laze about. Perhaps rage as he could easily snap and had even gone after his own companions before.
@haerleen said: “We are so dead.”
The silence that followed the shattering of the glass orb was deafening. He’d barely brushed passed the pedestal when his arm hit the corner, causing it to wobble and the dark sphere to go rolling out off the edge. In a feeble attempt, he’d reached out to capture it but it was in vain as it slipped past his finger tips. He froze in place, uncertain of what his next action should be, only moving when Harley spoke up, freeing him from his paralysis. His eyes glanced to her before looking back down at the shattered remains.
“We hide under rug?” He mimicked sweeping the broken parts under the run that ran down the length of the hallway.
@blindingempathy said: “Hey.. hey calm down, we’re going to get through this alright?”
Anger coursed dangerously through him -- once again left behind for his appearance. His friends continuously told him no and it was beginning to grow tiresome. He hated missing out on whatever they were doing, always ditched or told to wait alone. The only difference was this time he wasn’t alone. They’d left the nurse they’d taken as a hostage in their escape attempt with him to “guard” her but honestly they’d just forgotten she’d been drug along. His eyes shifted to her as she spoke and huffed loudly.
“HMF!” He flopped down beside her, crossing his arms. “Hate waiting.” He responded, pouting that he was babysitting.
@captainboomer said: ❝ They look like psychos? Is that what they looked like? They were vampires. Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits ‘em. I don’t give a fuck how crazy they are! ❞
Nanaue only had a vague idea of what a vampire was as he was deprived of movies most if not all his life. He’d heard people call others psychos and seen how bizarre the people were, biting and clawing at them just as these things had. How was he supposed to know the difference? His tough skin made it nearly impossible to bite through even with their elongated fangs but his thin skinned companion was definitely on the menu.
“Bad sunburn?” He shrugged his heavy shoulders. He didn’t pretend to understand half the shit he saw anymore. Hell, he was the offspring of a woman and shark deity. Where did any of that make sense?
fallesto:
PEACE AT ANY COST. He would have liked to have been here by himself, or put his own team together, this team was not good, not by his standards. Too many criminals, too many monsters, too many freaks for his liking. These people didn’t deserve prison and they sure as hell didn’t deserve the second chance that has been given to them with such a mission. The only thing they deserved was a swift death, no mercy shown to the likes of them, but as it was he had to swallow his pride for now. Get on with them for the time being and get to that tower. That was the only thing that mattered, peace would be secured once he got there and did what he needed to do and for the time being if he had to work with these degenerates then so be it.
“The bad ones – the ones who cause problems.” Meta’s the whole lot of them needed to be purged, they where far too dangerous to just allow them to run around letting them do what they wanted when they wanted. He had dealt with his fair share of them as well, put enough of them in the ground to know that they where tough bastards to kill – and he didn’t fancy his chances against this lump of meat beside him, he stunk of death – just who had he eaten last, it was getting hard to keep track of what he actually ate.
“That’s right big guy, all in the name of peace.” He slapped the big beast’s chest with his hand as he would slice through the forest, pushing further and picking up the pace. She slowed down and crouched down as the shark had noticed what he had seen as well – there was a camp up ahead. “Nice and slow big guy.” He whispered, moving slowly as he would come to a stop and look ahead at the camp.
There where about two dozen of them, men, woman and children. They where in the heart of the jungle as he looked over them all, had to be the army, perfect cover to lure them into a trap, properly child soldiers as well – slippery bastards. He had dealt with these types before, they look like civilians, but he knew better – a terrorist was a terrorist, he could always tell. Waller was clear on her orders, no witnesses – could not go around them, would add more time – needed to cut through them.
“Right –“ He held his hand up, pointing out the children playing football – properly cocaine inside the ball those monsters. “I’ll take them out –“ As he pointed to the men and woman sitting around the fire eating food. No guards, no patrols as well – this stunk of a trap, but he had the killer shark with him, he had the advantage.
“You – go eat your lunch and I’ll clean up the rest.”
The slap on his chest made him glance down. He’d seen other inmates do it in a friendly way and by his tone it had to be friendly as well. Humans were interesting and their mannerisms even more so. But he didn’t question it, especially when he was told he was right, a rare occurrence. At Peacemaker’s direction he slowed his pace, careful not to step too loudly. The last thing he needed to do was alert the people ahead of them that they were nearby.
Nanaue did his best to look and see between the thick brush that surrounded the camp. He could hear the crackling of fire, kids laughing gleefully while their parents clinked glasses together. A few men were walking around idly, talking amongst themselves. They didn’t appear to be hostile in the slightest. He was certain the others would want to know and handle it as a team. They could find a lead on Flag or even a more direct way to get to the tower and the Thinker. His thoughts were interrupted when directed to eat the men and women.
“Not tell others?” He asked in confusion, looking back to his friend. Then again, he was hungry. There was a pang in his gut that was growing stronger. Humans had no real caloric value, requiring him to eat more to maintain enough energy to stay active. Too little and he risked becoming lethargic. There wasn’t another second thought as he slipped away, circling the camp and slowly picking off anyone left alone. The first man he discovered was swiftly devoured in a matter of a few bites. The rest, well, the ones left alone had their heads bitten clean off at the neck and those together were forced to be bitten, left to bleed out as a flurry of screams quickly echoed from the camp.
It was a monster attacking. Most had focused on him that they hadn’t even noticed Peacemaker was also in the area.

Cleo laughed a bit at the rudimentary way he conveyed his joy. It was sweet in its child-like wonder and excitement. The second statement did give her pause though. As much as the concept intrigued her, it also brought about the realization that they wouldn’t be going back to their cells. Cleo had mixed feelings about that. Maybe it was because the cell was the first real place she’d ever actually stayed in long term, or maybe it was the developed sense of familiarity and even comfort she’d learned to derive from it but… that cell felt like the only home she knew. She’d drawn on the walls of it. She’d spent her days eating meals with Sebastian there, staring out of a tiny window and sleeping in the bare-bones bed. It wasn’t a great place to stay, but it was a place. The only place she ever thought she’d know. And now she was back to square one. Fresh out of prison.
Could she even call it a prison?
“You can say with me, yes.” She said tentatively. “We’d just have to… find a place first.” Probably somewhere on the outskirts of a city so she still had rats to call on without drawing too much attention. Probably close to the ocean so Nanaue could still swim, and so she could catch dinners for them. Yeah, okay, that sounded like a solid plan. “Somewhere close to the ocean, where you can swim and no one will bother you while you eat?” She laughed softly, lightly rubbing his arm in comfort. “And somewhere nicer than the old parking garage the Sebastian and I used to call home.”
In terms of space, it would work. But it wouldn’t be very comfortable sleeping on concrete again. Not for her, and certainly not for Nanaue. Sebastian squeaked at her and she nodded. “I’ll have to ask the rats to look around for some place nice when we land. But we’ll find a good home. And then you’ll have some good noms noms for all your hard work today.” She patted his shoulder, fixing the last bandage into place and carefully resting against his arm. She was exhausted and but she was also happy so maybe her thinking was a bit clouded. But it would all work out in the end. She was sure of it.
The ocean. He’d like to be near the sea so he could swim freely. Nanaue had no qualms with walking around on land, and in fact he kind of enjoyed it. There was a wider array of smells on land and it was full of life while the ocean sometimes felt extremely lonely unless he was close to the reefs or in the middle of a migration. There was more to do and he was actually able to make friends and feel like he finally belong somewhere. However, he did need to be in a high humidity area or have a place to dip into the water to refresh his gills. They could go a while without hydration as long as dry air didn’t flow over them for long periods of time.
“Would like that,” he sighed as she finished patching him up and rested her head on him. It’d be nice to have his friend around. His black eyes looked to the others in the plane, wondering if they would join them as well or if they’d be leaving him. Well, he supposed it’d be ok if they lived elsewhere as long as they came to visit, especially if they came to go on another adventure together. The thought had him smiling slightly as he returned his attention back to Cleo.
“You can swim?” He asked. He had seen the rats come gnawing their way out from the eye of the alien creature but wasn’t sure if she could. It’d be nice if she’d join him swimming. There were all sorts of things he was certain he could show her that she’d enjoy. Well, that depended on the water. If it was clear she’d be able to see but if it was dark and murky then perhaps she could remain on land. He turned his head upward, maw gaping slightly as he thought over possible areas they could live. He’d travelled a good bit and knew of some places that would be nice to settle in. It’d have to be some place where there weren’t too many humans. The team had made it plenty clear he wasn’t allowed to eat anyone unless they were trying to actively kill them.
captainboomer:
ENTERTAINED WITH THE BIG SHARK MAN the miscreant shook his head and chuckled, scratching his temple thoughtfully with the apex of his boomerang . ❝ I know you’re hungry, mate, but ya can’t eat everything you see.. It’s called poor nutrition, and even riskier for meta species. I mean who knows what kinda garbage you been crunching, am I right? Keep them jaws safe and intact. You’re a killer , mate, you gotta be more choosy with what you put in that bottomless pit of a mouth, ❞ He aimed his boomerang and threw at the mouth of the shark breaking the skull his jaws were gripping, crushing it with the sharp blade then the boomerang, came around its way making it back into his owner’s hand. ❝ Ya know what? I have a great idea. You can’t eat friends, but.. In cases of emergencies, you can eat annoying people. I can even make a list for ya, if you like, ❞ Digger took out a piece of paper and pencil and started scribbling something on his knee, ❝ Let’s see, whom can you eat.. Oh, I know, you can start with that pain in the arse of a colonel –– Flag, I don’t think anyone would miss him alright, ❞ Boomer grinned widely at King Shark, golden tooth flashing.
As soon as soon as the skull shattered his jaws came crashing down, the remaining bone splintering. There was a moment of pure disheartened shock as he processed what had just happened. It was as if someone had just snatched a juicy snack right from his mouth and bopped him on the snout with a newspaper. Had it been anyone else he might’ve gone into a rage and eaten them but this was a friend so instead he just balled his fists and huffed loudly as he listened to the rest of what he had to say. Ah. So he was concerned for his health then. He supposed that was what friends were supposed to do.
“Annoying nom noms...” he watched Digger scribble on the paper and tilted his head slightly as he mentioned Flag. That was one of their friends wasn’t it? Harley seemed to like him and Bloodsport had said something once before. “Flag and Harley friends. Flag friend too, right?” He felt conflicted at this point. He was allowed to eat annoying people but not friends but Digger said Flag was annoying and could be eaten. But he could’ve sworn someone had mentioned they found Digger annoying. Did...did that mean he was edible then? “Friends find you annoying.”
WHICH NATURAL DISASTER IS YOUR TEMPER LIKE
Tsunami
Your temper is like a Tsunami! To be completely honest, we're a little frightened by you. Why, you ask? Because according to this comparison, your temper has not 1, but 2 equally forceful parts to it that no one can escape. Like your natural disaster counterpart, you like to sneak up on your confrontation; you aim silently, but when you find the object of your rage, you make your presence known in a HUGE way. After you've let out all your aggression, you then linger for a while before you slowly back away from the problem at hand, although taking any left over damage home with you. This damage may be emotional or material, but either way, you take control and then take it all home.

@sosmartme
“Yes Nanaue?” She asks looking to the shark that even though she hated to admit it. Nanaue was one of her favorites and in an almost weird way she was thankful that he wasn’t dead. “Something you need?” She muses looking up from her paper work at the shark in front of her.
Even after given his freedom thanks to Bloodsport, Nanaue had returned to Waller. Plenty found it idiotic but in the world it was difficult. He was a monster even after saving countless lives and without having someone constantly chastise him about eating humans it became difficult to keep from doing so and had gotten him enough trouble that he felt it best return. And with some strings pulled from his friends he wasn’t forced to remain in his cell.
“Bored,” he huffed, a hand moving up to scratch idly at his stomach. Since their last battle, he’d gotten a taste of some real action and had found pacing the facility and even attempting to read had become rather dull. Perhaps she’d have something he could do to entertain him or maybe another job.
|| Hello everyone! I just wanted to make a small announcement about a change to my rules:
