The way she brushed his questions off was frustrating, to say the least, but it was something that he was accustomed to, even after all the time they had spent apart. “By all means, finish what you’ve started. I could not bare to part with you.” He offered his hand out to her, wincing a bit as she sliced into his palm. A deep frown set on his lips as he realized that the cut had stung, if only a bit. He should have felt next to nothing. His questions threatened to spew from his lips, but he knew that it was best to let her concentrate right now. They would have all the time in the world for conversation. He caught her as she stumbled, his arm wrapping around her waist to keep her upright.
"You certainly did,“ he agreed, granting her a smile as she laughed. He’d missed that laugh. Missed everything about her. Most believed Rebekah to be his partner in crime, and while that wasn’t entirely untrue at times, the true holder of that position had always been his twin. “Of course, sister,” he murmured, instantly moving from his position to go find the girl and bring her back in with him. He felt no bloodlust in the girl’s presence, and there could only be one reason for that. He placed the girl in front of Celine, shaking his head as he met his sister’s eyes. “Have you brought me back human?” He asked, clearly unnerved. He was still elated that they had been reunited, but he couldn’t bare the thought of being human, especially in his original body. He’d acquired one too many enemies with this face to be defenseless.
Dark hues bore witness to her brother’s retreating form, flickers of dancing candlelight reminding her of the shadows her brother would cast around the fire to ease her to rest. They had come from the innocence of whom they once were, mere children bore in an age of chaos. Yet, here they stood, together again, so much having changed while other things remained distinctly unaltered. “Mary, Mary, quite contrary.” Celine spoke in a sing-song voice, her hand reaching out to touch the girl’s hair. Her expression turned vampiric, though she paused as she gazed back at her brother.
“New life given requires sacrifice.Had your body not been destroyed what you desired may have been possible. As it was, a new, mortal, body had to be fashioned. You are human, a warlock.” Celine revealed before taking the girl’s neck into her mouth and feeding. She would not kill this girl, enough bloodshed spilled in one day. However, she would refrain from speaking for a period of time, finally releasing the girl to return to her home with no memory of the events which had transpired around her.
“You shall not be defenseless my brother, you are powerful, the most gifted magic user of our family, beside, perhaps, our mother.” There was a pause as Esther was brought up, Celine, now stronger, moving forward to place both of her hands upon the sides of his face. She understood what he was thinking, she had always seemed able to. “I will not allow this cursed fate to befall you again, this I vow to you.” And with these words her arms slid down to his sides, a smile of reassurance gracing her features as she moved to embrace her brother in a tight hug.
