My class was cancelled yesterday so I had the pleasure of volunteering to help with the technicals for a lecture on the "Power of Radio" given by Ms. Tessie Tomas at PWU Manila.  

Rather than just a straight lecture, Ms. Tomas spent the latter part of the seminar performing a one-woman drama for radio (with the help of the crowd) that she had just finished writing the day before.  Her setup included a band of three students (for musical scoring) and a slew of household items that she used for her sound effects.

I had suggested using a piece of equipment called the AKAI MPC which would allow her desired sound effects to be loaded on so that they may just be triggered by the press of the button, but Ms. Tomas wanted to use household items to demonstrate how individuals can achieve the same results without the use of fancy electronics.
