while on the ffxiv topic (didn't post to IG bc there was no effort to stage pics lol). miqo and au ra are my wols/player characters even though i've lost the energy to play on multiple accounts. viera is just like. a random design because i didn't know what to do with the doll LMAO but i enjoy how she turned out. i do need to redo her right ear though, it looks shadowed and that's because i didn't coat it well with white paint before flocking it because i was lazy. so i need to remove the flocking and hopefully not dissolve too much of the clay below then paint and re-flock.

i don't play ffxiv (or dolls) with really the purpose of them interacting with aymeric or estinien, but as a happy coincidence they're more or less similar to ingame scale since estimeric are 75cm compared to the girls being in the range of 62-64ish.

i'm thinking seriously for aymeric bjd of reshelling him to id75. right now he's a elf ear modded miu shima kui (68cm head) on a slim TD 75. it works great proportionally but dressing him is a pain because id75 clothes hang off him in an unflattering way and 68/73 cm clothes are not always gonna fit leg and arm length even if the slimmer cut fits better. i traded for a tawny R. Shoshon and i'm thinking he could be aymeric, but idk... i wish miushima would just release a 75cm head because kui really is perfect. i don't want to shell him down to 68 either, estinien is 75 and i want them to be the same height.

related, i dress aymeric and estinien in modern casual but i would love love love to get the lord commander regalia made for aymeric :( i'm looking at ringdoll's new shoulder and leg option armor and i'm thnking seriously if i shell him up to 75 (not slim 75 but like id75 equivalent) i can get that armor and it'll fit... but then, i either have to buy the ringdoll 75 body or else mod the armor to fit on a diff 75cm body. And i don't have the sewing/cos skills for aymeric's regalia but it's so specialized i would have a hard time finding someone to comm, i think.

and, in that case, i would want estinien to match. i guess he could wear fantasy casual gear but idk. my low key aspiration with him has always been to get a 75cm body and epoxy putty sculpt the dragoon armor directly on the body and just do a ton of sanding, painting, etc and mask out the bare skin and airbrush or spray paint the armor the correct color. but my sculpting skills are not that and i just don't have enough time to commit, i think. if i could 3d sculpt and get it printed that would be one thing, but i can't, lol.

actually, i love ATS guys and i am looking at the upcoming Lust release too but like. idk. he's so beautiful and i would love him just to own but i'm leery that in person his profile would be too strong for aymeric or whatever. I ordered mori9's chara during that preorder and he was SO lovely and i did paint him up but i feel like as lovely as he was i did not click bc he was too sharp and i click better w/ softer guy profiles. so ats lust would be cute for aymeric maybe but we're gonna look at shoshon and i don't need a shoshon AND a lust whether aymeric'd or not.

The Resurrection of Monstress Figures are soooooo gooooood-

Designs by Yasushi Nirasawa for the figures, with their accessories they come with. Each one comes with some form of set to display them with, as well-

Franken Steela comes with the sort of lab table that you often see Frankenstein’s monsters rising from

Curia comes with a large coffin that is… ostensibly her coffin, but due to posing and her wings, she can’t actually fit inside

Gilleala comes with a large seaweed sorta thing that she can connect to so she looks like she’s floating

Wolfnica comes with a sort of stage and a set of amps

Noctilca comes with, like, a segment of a witch’s hut wall

Phanteana comes with a keyboard setup with her own amps

The following two were designs for a third series of figures which unfortunately did not get produced-

Mummyla would have had interchangeable hands that could be swapped between her four arms

Cronola would have come with a motorcycle and a second set of legs that would allow you to display her riding it

I have at least one version of each of the ones that were actually released. There were a couple of colorways for each of them, iirc, as well as a clear plastic version. They are incredibly difficult to find these days, but I have a set, and I love them. I wish more got produced, but at least the ones that did exist!
