From her performance on the 1st of September 2023. (Part of the opening instrumental is cut out due to audience chitter chatter)
Enjoy!
Here supporting our new cast! 36th visit…31st at this theatre, but the first at HIS Majesty’s!
One of the moments that most stuck out to me tonight was when they raised the chandelier back up during intermission. Most people were standing up or already walking, headed on their way to the bathrooms or merch stalls. But then Ruthie II started to rise, and there was this wave of quiet that went through the crowd. A large proportion of people (in the mezz, at least) stopped where they were, and just watched in silence until the chandelier completed its climb. Of course we all clapped our hands off to show the performers and crew our appreciation, but that moment of respect and reverence shown for an inanimate setpiece that we all loved so much was something that will stick with me for a long time.
Can’t sleep because of tonight. Earl just GETS IT, doesn’t he. Every movement was subtle yet somehow highly dramatical at the same time. Moments of tenderness vanishing quickly as ‘the masked slipped’ (pardon the pun) and those spits of anger and frustration came through. Honestly he’s on par with Michael Crawford for me. So much more to digest…
Earl Carpenter’s hands. That’s it. That’s the post.
Earl Carpenter in rehearsal X
Happy ‘Earl Carpenter Returns as The Phantom’ Day! Excited to witness history tonight! Who’s coming ?
(Do people realise how momentous this is…Earl is the greatest London phantom of the 21st Century!!)
POTO Sydney - September 10th 2022 (matinee)
Josh Piterman, Bridget Costello, Blake Bowden
I’m still here tumblr 👋
London’s new Carlotta, Kelly Glyptis, is a queen. Love her Carlotta already. Need to mention Michelle Cornelius who was hilarious as the wardrobe mistress. Gave me Ellen Jackson vibes with the little touches she added. Good cast! Show 33 for me.
It was another show stop though, right after the Don Juan rehearsal. These are sounding weekly in London at the moment, or at least it feels that way!
You once shared a full performance vid of Inger Olsson Moberg. The vid is not available anymore which brings me to tears. Do you know if it is available anywhere else ? Or where to find another performance of Inger Olsson Moberg except Think of Me ?
Sadly the video has been taken down but many people have it on their trading sites. Anyone know if this has been shared elsewhere?
New “mystery box” keychains from Phantom Japan!
POTO Japan just GET IT don’t they!
Ashley’s second performance as the phantom. Its been a long time since I’ve seen an interpretation like his! I really liked how he tensed up when touching Christine (listen to how his breathing changes from “only then can you belong to me…”). I really hope he gets another opportunity to perform because he has a lot of potential!
Ashley Stillburn (Second cover Phantom) 26th Feb 2022.

Ashley Stillburn makes his debut as the Phantom today at Her Majesty’s Theatre, London.
The beautiful Gillian Lynne would have been 96 today. Happy Birthday! We miss her greatly.
