Linking Monitors

I'm starting to become disillusioned by the idea of paring two monitors (especially if their coaxial) to each other. I think it's all about timing and phase coherence and I'd like to do everything I can to a coaxial monitor to preserve it's phase coherence and stability. I'd much rater pair a coaxial monitor with a time aligned side fill and bump a lot of vocal like that. Obviously, you can't always talk the artist down from more than one monitor. But, you can always try!

Monitor Mixing

Okay this ones for all my monitor engineer girlies out there. Drop your ego when you're mixing. Listen to what the artist says and adjust to their liking. You can have a mega dull vocal to your ear but if the artist says its harsh you fix that shit because the mix isn't for you. I've seen so many engineers vocally disagree with an artist about how something sounds and every time I'm just thinking 'They're not sharing ears with you, listen to them and fix it!' because our job is literally to mix to their liking.

His crops aren’t particularly unique (mostly corn, soybeans, and wheat) but his novel cover cropping tactics make his practice unconventional. In the mid-’90s, his farm started using several mixes of cover crops whose roots could break up the soil better than tilling while regenerating the chemicals, such as nitrogen, that are paramount to healthy soil. It was a breakthrough: less input was getting him more output, and his soil was as rich and wormy as ever. I smoke because I'm poor and I drink because I'm weak and when cancer comes to kill me it should only take a day, or two, or three. nicotine is nice to me, nicer that you were but now I just reflect on the days when I was yours. When you'd treat me like I'm nothing, spit and shout and hate for nothing, that's when you made me nothing, taught me that I'm not worth nothing. But I'm broken from your spell now and I'm doing pretty great. I wouldn't ever say I hate you but loves a strong word too. You took me from the things I loved the things I cherished and cigs I bummed took from my friends and family just to feed your need for me. You begged and pleaded baby please you don't need it!
