My name is Dan and I’m 20 years old. For a living i pretend to be in my 30s and lead crews of youth in the woods, teaching them how to work hard and to talk about their feelings. I’ve been using tumblr since i was 14ish and ive been using it as an outlet for my angst and emotions and shit. I dont actually hate my friends, life isnt garbage, those were just snippets of what i was feeling at the time. And instead of properly processing and communicating my feelings, i dump them here and repress them. Which makes me kind of a phony and enables me to stay an adolescent in how i deal with my emotions. Today i actually talked with my best friend about the shit weve been feeling and wow is that better. So goodbye tumblr. You have been my crutch for too long. I’ve grown up a lot this year, and this is the next logical step for me i think.
