The Adventures of Thicket and the Altairians

Book 1: The Return of Altair

Prologue

Beyond the highest mountains, past the largest sea, you can find a Kingdom unlike any other. A world where fantastical beats prowled the forests and magic was plentiful. Where every creature you can imagine lived in peace. This mystical world is named Altair. The ever great Queen Elara reigned over Altair, in accordance with the moon and stars, her power keeping its inhabitants safe.

Long before our story begins, there was a war. A demon by the name of Zelgius spread vile words to the Altairians. Some began to question the Queen’s reign, their doubt corrupting them. Zelgius’ power grew as more Altarians fell prey to his darkness, dividing the kingdom.

A war broke out between the corrupted creatures and Elara’s warriors. The divide weakened Queen Elara’s magic, and with that, the strength of her followers. After many years of fighting, Zelgius conquered Altair.

With one final act of hope and defiance, Queen Elara encased herself in a grand tree.

A prophecy foretold the coming of a warrior. A descendant of the Queen who would save the people and bring down Zelgius.

They searched far and wide for their savior with no avail. No such descendant existed. The stories began to dwindle as centuries passed, but hope was never lost that the kingdom would be saved.
