I…I can’t remember what she looked like, what she sounded like, what she her interests were, or any of the interactions we had, but I can easily remember seeing what she looked like after the crash. How it took all of us to pry that piece of metal out of her face and the seat. Seeing her eyes staring blankly ahead…

I think about her. I think about how lucky she was. She didn’t burn to death like that poor stewardess, she wasn’t sucked out of the plane like Coach Martinez, she just died. One moment she’s bracing for the crash and then… *snaps her fingers* Gone. No pain, no suffering, probably didn’t have a chance to realize what was about to happen.

But most importantly, she didn’t get to see what happened to the rest of us. What we did…

Her and Laura Lee. They were the luckiest ones.”
