With a roll of her eyes, Sowon spun around on her high stool chair to look at the man with a raise of her brow. “Tsk. You must have caught your scent, mister.” As he made his entrance, she greeted him back cheekily paired with a soft curve of her lips before stepping down from the chair and padding back to the stove where she’s attempting to brew a kimchi stew. Regardless of his presence, she still put more attention to her food than the male she’s supposed to be entertaining. 

Once she opened the medium-sized casserole, the sight of the failed dish earned a sour facial expression from its own cook. She sighed in dismay. “This is hopeless.”

The corner of the elder’s lips slowly curled up, tugged by mischief and hopefulness. Depressing thoughts plagued his mind the moment she said a discrete friendship between her and his bestfriend were to stay. It seemed every word she uttered buried him an inch deeper underground. He knew it was ending and he might as well hear it all. From her.

‘It’s still me?’ A pang of guilt like ice cold ran over him. ‘It’s still you.’ she said. Dean kept replaying it in his head over and over yet he stood his ground as he processed what just happened He was expecting an answer but he wasn’t expecting that kind of answer. Something was amiss here. He was wrong all along but he didn’t want to believe it. Was she playing with his mind? Nahh. Dean knew when @souwon gets serious. He knew when she was joking and when she was not.

As if her gathering her belongings were in slow motion, he was mentally arguing in his head if he was going to stop her from leaving or let her be. He does admit his work came first before anything else. Even her. But he couldn’t help it. The joy of getting recognition from his music and the thought of maybe.. .just maybe making her happy in the future was his drug. He couldn’t think of anything else. His time devoted in the studio. His food and sleep all spent in the studio. He forgot about taking care of her, about taking care of their present. He grabbed her wrist just as she was about to get past him and through the door, a bit forceful as she was trying to storm out. “I’m sorry. I was being a fool. Please..” Dean stood up, turned her to him and looked her in the eyes. “Please give me another chance.”

The moment her throat felt arid by the surging of unconsciously suppressed emotions, Sowon knew she was ready to go. It was her cue, yet it seemed to have been a struggle to simply kick her foot forward and a torment to push down the thick lump that rapidly grew in the narrow passage of her throat. She wrapped a quick plan of leaving his studio the moment this happens because he did not want him to start feeling repentance about her, about them. Whatever happens, happens. To her, this is how things like this worked.

She drew a sharp breath and managed to slightly pull herself together, yet this effort was futile against the strength of his willful grip around her wrist. She was facing him again, and her eyes widened. Albeit not caused by a comical astonishment but her vision has become a blur through the tears that brim her eyes and she feared that this is how she’s going to see his face for the rest of the night. Oh, no. Please.

“I hope you’re hearing yourself clearly.” She breathed out, her slender fingers slowly collapsing within her hold as the little determination to resist him escaped her at once. She has already lost before she even tried to ward him off. She found herself pitiful. But she didn’t mind, and for this she knows she is a fool herself. “What are you going to do with that chance, huh?” She demanded with a sniffle, putting on a hardened façade despite her voice coming out shakily while she brought the back of her hand to wipe the tears that clearly gave away her obvious defeat.

“You’re really a fool.”

Well, she’s one to speak.

“Do you think I’d give in that easily? I might be crying but...!!!” She’s at loss for words. How embarrassing. And she looked away from him, blinking her reddened eyelids rapidly and putting on a serious face.

Right. I’m definitely starting to feel eerie every time you start your sentence with words of affection, honestly. (–`after releasing a scoff, the elder’s glossed pair falls into a small frown`) …..I’m not cleaning your mess up!

“Oh.. Well,” Her lips formed a small ‘o’ while quickly averting her clueless stare from the male’s concealed chagrin. Obviously, it slipped her mind earlier while getting ready that she must avoid wearing leveled shoes when meeting up with him. But as someone who is keen on the details of her outfit, she ended up wearing her white platform strappy sandals that increased her height by about an inch only and most specifically, it was the pair that looked best with her denim A-line skirt. So after a brief flashback of that old deal with him, the corners of Sowon’s lips twisted up in a suppressed grin.

“……You think they’re cute?” The female teased, her shoulders now slightly shaking from her impish snickers.
