MEDITATION II
Guillaume Seignac, 1870-1924
Euterpe, The Muse of Music (alternate title: Beautiful girl with flute in classical landscape), ca.1880, oil on canvas, 110.49x87.63 cm
Private Collection
(1stdibs)
What if they printed books with glow in dark ink so that you could stay up past your bedtime reading while the subtle glow of the text illuminates your face in a dreamy sort of way.

MEDITATION I
UPDATE: YEAR MMXXII, DAY XCVIII
In the living room, they are playing a movie at the loudest decibel. I could simply close my door and pretend that I don’t hear airplanes in my house. But to be filled with silence is such a depressing thought to me right now. I would rather welcome all sorts of songs, small & fast, loud & little, rather than sit in complete silence aka emptiness.
If You Ever See The Light
I’ve never ice skated before, which is a bit of a disappointment because my world is full of frigid & locked water. Hidden underneath a reckless, flowerfield you can’t touch without faultless dying. I must admit unknown carnations can lead a man to break a heart. (abominations.) But if you see the light— keep swimming. It’s been two months of an abrupt interruption, dimming of five years. But the static kills and when the flashbulbs burst tonight & i can’t see a thing yr the most beautiful n blinding white lite. Hide in the shadows, where i can see yr soul the fields around us mere whispers they grow, they grow, they grow.
