This fic will be set in player!Albert's pov
It was finally the day, the beginning of the rest of our lives.
It's been two year's since we became official, and everyday I've fallen more and more in love with y/n, and it's been a dream.
Waking up every morning and being able to say she's my girlfriend has made me the happiest man ever.
Which is how I got here, gripping onto the ring box in my pocket as we enjoy an expensive breakfast at her favourite diner, I had many plans today, and making sure she was full was my main priority.
I see her put her fork down and leaning back, as she smiles at me.
"That was really good, how was yours?" I look down at my plate seeing as I've barley touched my food- fuck I'm so nervous, this proposal has to go well.
"Yeah, It was good." I reply with a smile of my own, as the waitress hands me the bill, I pay without even looking at the price as we pack our things to go.
I drive around for a while till we stop at her favourite garden, It's just outside the city, which is perfect because It's quiet. As we exit the car I stick my hand in my pocket and play with the velvet box as my heart beats quicker.
We walk for around 30 minutes, as she's looking away I feel the gravel crunch as I go down to one knee. Nothing, nothing would ever compare to her face as she turns around.
"Y/n, I've loved you through thick and thin, even when you thought I was the biggest douche bag on the planet. We've been there for each other no matter what."
As I speak I see her tears start to fall and I fight every instinct in me to not cry as well.
"Would you make me the happiest man ever by accepting me as your fiancé?" My voice wavers on the last two words as I watch her reaction.
"Yes, oh my god yes I do!" I see the huge smile light up her face as I slid the engagement ring on her finger.
"I love you." I whisper against her lips.
